Switchcraft Q-G connectors and adapters are designed to solve common interconnection problems and are perfect for use with sensitive sound devices such microphones, amplifiers, sound reinforcement equipment, and any other component that does not have an appropriate mating connector. These units feature a separate ground terminal, ground contactors, captive design insert screw, and high-impact thermoplastic insulation. The shells, plug tips, and sleeves are crafted from either a copper alloy and then nickel-plated or from a tarnish-resistant, copper alloy-plated steel. All insulation used is paper-base phenolic or rigid plastic.

I needed one of these to backfeed a signal through a snake into an iso room. To my suprise, when I plugged it in, I received no signal. When I tried to pull it out of the snake it came apart because it was missing a screw. The best part is, the xlr connector fell out because the wires weren't even connected! I guess I missed the part where it said "assembly required...." You would probably get better results from a Radio Shack brand connector.
