Rock-solid yet lightweight support for your fave drum.

This single-braced snare stand from Tama features a swiveling basket, universal gearless tilter, and escape claws.

With a swiveling basket, the snare basket rotates independently, so you don't have to loosen the basket when moving the strainer to the desired position.

The universal gearless tilter securely holds its position with metal-plate friction instead of traditional gears so you can adjust it to any angle you desire.

The "Escape Claws" rubber cushions support the snare drum by "floating" on the metal support arms for improved resonance. In addition, they help reduce fatigue by softening the impact on your arms and wrists while playing the snare drum.

  • For 12" to 14" diameter snare drums
  • Swiveling basket
  • Universal gearless tilter
  • Escape Claws
  • Single-braced
  • Height adjustment range: 25-1/4" to 31-1/2" (640mm-800mm)

Comments about Tama Stage Master Single-braced Snare Stand:

I got this stand with my Tama Imperialstar kit. I only have a 2 negative complaints. 1: its way too unsteady. 2: It can't go very low so you have to have your drum throne pretty high. Besides that its an ok stand.

Comments about Tama Stage Master Single-braced Snare Stand:

I've been substituting this stand for a much heavier Pearl S-2000 snare stand for local gigs to reduce the weight of my hardware case and it has worked quite well for this purpose. It is significantly lighter than the Pearl S-2000 and noticeably lighter than my other double braced Tama snare stand that I got with a kit many years ago. It is in no way as solid feeling as a Pearl S-2000 so if your expectation at this price point is dead solid, this is not your stand. Your snare will move just a tad due to the design of basket tilt mechanism but it doesn't move in a way that I notice while playing. I've played over a dozen 3 to 4 hour gigs with this stand. Note that the the basket can rotate independent of the rest of the stand, kind of cool but not something I necessarily needed. Also, note that the basket arms are not a perfect 120 degrees apart, presumably to help fit around 8 and 10 lug drums. My only complaint other than the slight wobble of the basket tilt mechanism would be the non-gear (toothless) tilter. It needed a bit more torque on the nut to lock it in place than I'm used to putting on a hardware T-nut. But keep in mind, I'm extra careful with my hardware having suffered thru years of gorilla handled and buggered up hardware. If you're looking for the same in a snare stand (lightweight, inexpensive and reasonably durable for the money), I'd say go for it.
