OVERVIEW

Compact, portable, and strong.

Ultimate Support's tripod-base Amp-150 Genesis amp stand is extremely stable, holds up to 75 lbs, has 3 tilt angles, and its arms and legs fold up for portability.

Mic Boom Attachment
There's no need to carry an additional mic stand when gigging with an AMP-150. There's a built-in mic boom attachment at the top of the height-adjustable stand! Just add your favorite boom arm (or a gooseneck) and microphone, and you're ready. Great for both live sound reinforcement or for recording in the studio.

Three-Position Tilt Stand
Featuring three tilt positions, you can aim your amp exactly where you need it when using an AMP-150 amp stand. You'll be able to hear high frequencies at much lower volume levels on stage and in practice, and the sound guy will have better control over FOH sound since your amp is no longer facing directly forward.

Stable and portable
The AMP-150 is one piece that quickly folds into an ultra compact, 3.5" x 18" unit. Take your stand anywhere and never lose parts again! And, the sturdy tripod base holds up to 75 lb. - it's the perfect addition to your small to mid-sized combo amp.

Patended leg-locking system
Genesis Series guitar and amp stands feature a unique, patented leg-locking mechanism. When setting up the stand, unlock the legs, unfold and lock the legs in place for worry-free stability and strength. When finished with the gig, unlock the legs, fold, and lock for easy, compact portability. The ingenious leg lock eliminates "floppy leg" syndrome.

I really don't know how anyone could break the "plastic" parts - what are you people doing, dropping them into chipper/shreders or something? I've had mine for several years, have had LITERALLY no problem with it, and I love it's compactness - I fold it back up and tuck it into the back of my amp. The back support can be raised and lowered, and it has a nifty threaded tip with a locking nut (or whatever you call it) that you can either use to connect a gooseneck mic stand, or a lightweight equipment rack. (Even has a little clear rubbery cover for the threaded tip, to keep it from being damaged when not in use.)Love this stand, and I'm about to buy another one for the second amp I'm getting.

I have had two of these stands... I have a 40lb amp that I use when I play. The pictures shown of this amp stand show it with a Twin Reverb (80lbs). I returned the first stand that broke and they gave me a brand new replacement. The replacement broke in the exact same way the first one broke. The middle, rear, leg ends up slipping out of its hold... causing the amp to crash onto the floor. All I can say is it is a BAD BAD BAD design. This could be a great stand IF they would actually test the product before putting it on the market. Dont waste your money on this and just use a chair to set your amp in or lean it against the wall or something.

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

Bought it used, really cheap, looked like new. I liked the mic boom attachment. However, as soon as I put my vintage tube amp on it - its plastic joints disintegrated. If I hadn't heard the crack and caught my amp it would have tumbled across the floor. My amp weighs about 50 lbs and this thing is supposedly rated for much more weight. Apparently the plastic parts don't age well. Avoid this thing, it's junk.

Maybe I got a lemon...

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

Had this stand for a little over a year without any issues. I love how compact it is, sleek little stand that "appears" to be well constructed. I got back from a gig a few weeks ago and set it up again, put my amp on it and the back rest fell right out of the base. The base had cracked and split. My randall probably weighs about 50 pounds, this products indicates it can hold up to 75. I might have gotten a bad one that was pre-cracked during transit or something.

Good Design, Terrible Quality

By JazzMaster-DwaEE

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

I'll keep it brief. I like the design of the stand, with it's ability to mount your mic to it. However, the quality is beyond poor. Like others have stated, it you have a 1x8, 1x10 or an ultra light 1x12 then the stand is OK. I have gone through 3 of these and everyone of them broke within a month. I would not recommend this stand for a gigging musician.

The stand worked great until I moved it around a few times and it just snapped in half. I was gentle with it and my amp shouldn't have been heavy enough to cause a problem. Not impressed, bin.

This stand was lightly used and stored in the back of my Behringer GX212 when being transported.
The plastic clamp on the upright support rod broke making the stand pretty much useless.

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

This amp stand is great for smaller amps (with, say, just one 10 inch speaker. It is not good for my 50 lb Fender (though I still use it.) I tried to move it with the amp still tilted back...bad idea! It cracked on the plastic part. I did a decent repair job and it seems to be holding up ok. I still use it for the Fender because I don't have another tilt stand.

Okay, I read all the other reviews here before I ordered it and...they were all right. Ingenious design. Stupidly poor quality. I'd pay double the price for a replacement if it was built better. As it is, this isn't worth the money.

      Functional, useful

      By Guitaric

      from Kansas City, MO

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

This stand is handy and sturdy enough for most small combos (rated at 100 lb). The lock mechanism for the legs seems well-built. The stand collapses very nicely into a compact cylinder shape with no protruding parts. On one of my stands the clip that locks the extension arm for a boom did break, although I believe it was a result of rough handling, not a product defect.

      Poor Locking Mechanism

      By Jazz Man

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

Somewhat easy to work with and while it is rated for use with 75 pounds amps, after repeated use with my 40 pound amp, the back leg on my stand would no longer stay locked into position. Usless!
Great concept but the leg locking mechanism (or nut) eventually wears out rendering the stand useless and unusable.
Poor locking mechanism and seams to wear out quickly.
Eventually rendered usless and unusable after frequent use,

      Nice Design, Poor Construction

      By Jesus Freak-B.DTy

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

Great design, most of the stand is made of steel which is perfect. And then the dipstick designers made the most critical part out of plastic! Broke on first use. I returned it and won't have anything to do with Ultimate's amp stand.

My Ultimate Amp-150 Stand fell apart

      By Rob-CloBA

      from Brookline, MA,

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

I bought it about a year ago, to support my little Fender Princeton Reverb II. I love its compactness and economical design. Unfortunately two days ago while setting up the stand to position my amp for a gig, I noticed that the seating collar which holds the vertical shaft assembly securely in the top of the grey center clamp had developed a split in back where pressure was most constant, so that the shaft now sags to the point where if I use the stand again, it will rip open the collar completely, collapsing the stand and causing the amp to fall on the floor. Not kosher. Sad, because I liked this device. Verdict: bad center clamp made of weak, cheap plastic. What were they thinking? This device was supposed to support my precious, Rivera-designed Princeton, folks! I will not buy another of these stands.

The ones I got are good

      By Anonymous

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

Maybe there was just a bad run of these or something. I got two of them and they were supporting my 50lb Classic 30, then my 40-something-lb Tech21 Trademark 120, and now they support my 66lb Orange AD30TC and I've never been nervous about them breaking. They've had these amps removed and placed on them again at least 3 times a week for the past 2 years and it's only just now that part of the plastic is being bent out a little.

This stand was the only one I could find that works with an open back amp - I play a Fender Cyber Deluxe (50 lbs). The adjustment for the upright broke right away and is duct taped. But -- everything else about it is just right. Could be way better quality.

I bought one, used it at practice, and the other 2 guitar players immediately wanted one. So now all 3 of us use them. They come with a boom mic mount on the top, bonus for mic'ing. Folds up nicely, then into the back of my practice amp.
