Well, the wireless rig in my practice space was eating a 9v battery daily, and I also decided it was time to replace an old cord I was using at gigs... I'm attracted to the coiled style because I find "straight" cables have a tendency to foul themselves all up as I keep walking around (like catching your tie in a fan belt, but in slow motion). This cable showed up a few weeks ago. It appears to be very well-made and the connectors seem to be molded in place. Connections are tight and snappy. The 9-meter cable has some heft to it because, being coiled, it's more dense until it's stretched out. The only difficulty I had was choosing from among the 5 colors available, guitarists being so vain and all. At my vocalists' suggestion, I went with the silver one.Well, the wireless rig in my practice space was eating a 9v battery daily, and I also decided it was time to replace an old cord I was using at gigs... Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
This cable is the best cable for the money. It holds its tone very well and it just looks awesome! I recently preformed at a gig where it couldn't let me down and it didn't! I was able to utilize the space around me and move about without having a tangled mess. I really like not having to loop a cable through my strap anymore because if i step on this thing, it just stretches out. I'm very pleased with this cable and will buy another if it breaks.

Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
Nice to see this make a comeback. Had these back in the 70's and always used them back then. Decided to try the Vox brand and have not been disappointed. I had been using wireless but the tone suffered and had tried other cables. Some were good others well just didn't do it for me.The tone quality of this cable and heavy duty construction have sold me. I will not use any other cable. Bought mine in silver and it really stands out at our gigs. People ask me about it all the time. The most important part is that it sounds great and is real comfortable to play. It follows you where ever you go with no snags and no stepping on your cable causing damage. I have been gigging with this cable for over a year. It has held up very well. I am getting ready to purchase another one as a spare because I have hung up all my other cables

Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
I got this cable for my Dean ML-X guitar. Due to its crazy shape, tucking your straight cable behind your strap leaves a big loop which was always snagging on things, and due to the angle at which the strap comes off the guitar it would not hold the cable tightly. So I stopped tucking it, and of course stepped on it and ripped out my input jack. A strap clip helped keep the cable from slipping tighter, but I still had this great big loop of cable sticking off the rear.
With this Vox coil-style cable, I no longer worry about stepping on the cable as it just stretches out if you do. No need to tuck! I recommend this cable for anyone with an awkwardly shaped guitar where tucking your cable behind the strap isn't working out. Also, it looks really cool (I got the silver… BTW the red one looked more pink than red in the store). As for sound quality, it is just fine… don't know if it actually improved anything over my Whirlwinds, but I wasn't expecting it to.
The cable is supposedly about 30 feet, but really you have more like 12 feet before it starts to get taut and tug noticeably. That's plenty for me as I tend to play small stages and it's plugged into my Wah anyway. It may stretch out a little with use, we'll see.
I have only had this cable for a few weeks, so can't review longevity. But I like it so much that if it lasts out the 1-year warranty then breaks, I would probably buy another.

Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
I have a small studio/practice area and found that a coils cable would be best because it retracts. I had a cheap, short coil cable that was too short so I decided to find a longer one.
I bought this one due in part to good reviews, and because I simply needed a longer coil-cable.
The cherry on top of the cake, so-to-speak, is that these are great looking cables!
I would highly recommend the Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable to musicians who prefer a coil cable on stage or in the rehersal room!
4 thumbs up! (I borrowed my Wife's thumbs)

Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
Upon receiving this cable earlier this year I discovered it's much more heavy duty than I expected, with nice gold-plated ends to boot. I've found it makes your guitar single come in clean and clear, with perhaps just a slight high-end bump. Definitely lets you cut through in a live band setting.

Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
I bought this cool cable for my bass cauz I saw a friend of mine using it and found it really cool. And it is ! It's heavy (just like I like it), well built, very long and it comes with a net bag.
This cable is very cool cauz if you're at the end of it, it will stretch so it doesn't break your stuff.

- Looks Cool

Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
I bought the Vox cable because it looked cool. My friend kept telling me they were no good because he had several that all quit working after about a year. Well, mine lasted about 18 months. I guess he was right.
I took it apart to see if I could re-solder it and all the connections are frozen stiff in silicon gel. So 1) it must have broken because of bad parts because all the connections are still strong, and 2) it is unrepairable, therefore disposable. For the money and the reputation of the brand, I am VERY disappointed. I have many five dollar cables I bought fifteen years ago that still work.

Comments about Vox Premium Vintage Coil Guitar Cable:
The cable works as expected and sounds great. The only negative is that the red cable that I purchased looked red online, but in actuality was more hot pink than red.
