I received this case today after first trying out a hard case for twice as much $ that arrived badly broken. I could not be happier. The Wolfpak case is of excellent quality, with strong zippers and highly protective padding. I don't expect anything much from the built-in hygrometer in terms of accuracy, but I wasn't even aware the thing was included so I guess I'm happy to have it. As another reviewer mentioned, the depth listed in the specs only covers the bottom of the case - there is additional depth in the top, though I'm not sure how much exactly. The guitar I bought it for is a 12-fret 000 that I made myself, so its size is a bit unusual and hard to fit. Once this case is closed, it holds the guitar very securely and would also fit, it looks like, a 14-fret 000/OM with no problem. I used to be of the mindset that only hard shell cases were good enough for my more highly prized guitars. I no longer feel this way, and have come to trust well-made semi-hard foam cases like this Wolfpak and appreciate their lightweight quality. This is the best case I've ever seen in its class. I'll probably buy more of them for future guitars. It also looks better up close than it does in the web pics.

One great case...with one minor flaw...

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

Great product...would buy again!
Bought this with a new guitar that did not come with a case. I am normally a hardhshell case guy, but they were out of SKB cases that fit at store I was at. So, I opted for this one. Very glad that I did! Amazingly tough, lots of room for storage, great backpack straps that can be easily hidden when not in use. Lightweight, and small in size, but does not sacrifice protection!

One flaw...and all of these foam cases seem to have this issue. When you open the case and remove the guitar, the case falls over in the direction that the lid is open. Not a massive problem, but still rather annoying. Other than that, an amazing case!

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

Very good case! protects my expensive guitar very well. It even has a little hygrometer in it. Good to be able to read the relative humidity as having a solid wood acoustic means monitoring humidity. It holds onto humidity relatively well.

Nice plush interior, not very squishy but it works very well. Your guitar will not be scratched.

Its also really light. and has shoulder straps and a nice padded back

pockets are a little stiff. Seagulls dont fit that well inside, there's a little wiggle room but its manageable.

I spent a lot of time looking for cases until I found this one. It is a great alternative to a TRIC case. The interior is plush and has a hygrometer for monitoring humidity, plenty of storage space, and is light weight. Look no further and buy this case.

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

I have used gig bags for years and was wondering why someone doesn't come up with one that has the benefits of both gig bag and hard case. Then I saw the Wolfpak. It is both. It is comfortable to carry over your shoulders, yet it protects your guitar. It has plenty of storage pockets. It does everything you'd want.
It is not perfect, though. If you load it up with too much weight, the straps will eventually rip loose. If you want to set your case down and prop the lid open, you can't. It is too top heavy and the ribbon that holds the top to the bottom is not long enough to allow that. And if you give it a lot of rough use the styrofoam structure will eventually break. I had my first one for at least five years and it took rough service before I replaced it. I bought another Wolfpak, same as the first.
This is the best product out there if you want a gig bag that has the advantages of a hard case. I am very happy with it.

        Love this case!!

        By Lora Sepion

        from Undisclosed

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

This case is very well made. It has a strong handle, heavy exterior fabric, plush interior lining, padded backpack straps, and lots of pockets for storage. It even has a hygrometer to monitor humidity.

By comparison, I have a Gator lightweight polyfoam case and find this one to be far superior. The overall construction of this case seems more substantial, offering a little better protection. The Gator's interior lining and exterior fabric are nice, but the handle, backpack straps, and storage on this one are way better.

And the best part is my Takamine TAN16C fits in this case. It is snug, but it fits. Its long headstock won't fit in the Gator lightweight dreadnought case. So for a little more money, I am a lot more comfortable with my expensive guitar in this case.

The only things I might do to improve it would be:

        1) add feet to the side. It has 4 feet on the bottom, but feet on the side would be really useful as well. The Gator has feet on the side and bottom.

And 2) add a flap and Velcro closure under the handle to close the case. The Gator has that and I use it a lot to quickly close the case without having to zip it up all the way and it helps when zipping the case after the guitar is in it. Plus, the flap probably protects the zipper under the handle.

I am delighted with this case and believe you will be too.

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

I'm extremely pleased with this excellent product. It is both lightweight and very protective - a fantastic combination. Unlike other cases that I've owned, this item is not cheaply built. No "corners were cut" here. Another great feature is the backpack straps, which are comfortable and durable. In addition, small plastic pieces attached to the bottom allow you to stand the case upright. The zippers are high quality also. And finally, the price is right compared to similar cases that retail for more dough. Well done Wolfpak!!

After years of lugging my D-35 around in a Geib-style HSC, I recently went with the Wolf and I couldn't be happier. It's lighter, easier to carry using the backpack straps and has better storage.I compared this to a Reunion Blues Continental case, which was also quite nice, but I prefer the zippers and backpack straps on the Wolfpak. That said, the Reunion Blues has more storage and a long history of happy customers, but with cases like this Wolfpak is sure to develop a strong following, too.

Wow! I received this case today, and I am IMPRESSED! This is my first time in 40+ years to venture away from a hard case, and I'm well pleased. Well made, fits my D-18 like it was made for it, great features. The only problem I see is: I used to have a problem trying to find a place for all my accessories, now I don't have enough accessories! :)

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

I purchased this to replace a Breedlove hardshell case that was too heavy and had corroding hardware. I was concerned about this fitting my guitar because I had tried a Godin TRIC case first and it did not fit. When I read the review which indicated one who had this case was using it for his Breedlove 12-string, I knew this would be a good match and I was not disappointed. This appears to be very well made with a heavier nylon shell than other hybrid cases. The extra pockets are helpful too.

          Superior gig bag

          By Anonymous

          from Undisclosed

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

I was looking to replace a soft-sided gig bag with one that would provide better internal support and external protection. After 7 months of use, I am still very happy with this choice. The internal storage compartment has a practical capacity and provides good support under the guitar neck. The rigid polyfoam exterior provides real protection from external bumps and holds my instruments snugly with little internal movement, yet the total weight is significantly less than my hardshell cases. This acoustic polyfoam case accommodates my Martin dreadnaughts, a Froggy Bottom F-14, and a custom auditorium model. The streamlined external pockets don't have the capacity of some other gig bags, but they carry what I need in the way of straps, tuners, capoes, sheet music, CDs, etc.

          Absolutely Great

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

Having owned a number of cases through the years I've started to become picky. Personally I like the lightness of soft cases but don't like the standard gig bag since it provides so little protection. This time around I decided to do an in-depth search and came across this case. Exactly what I was looking for. Extremely well constructed, rugged, and at a great price! I am using this case for a Breedlove 12 string right now and it not only fits perfectly but carries all the extras I want in the various pockets. I would recommend this case for anyone looking for a light well built case that affords good protection for your guitar.

Comments about WolfPak Acoustic Guitar Polyfoam Case:

Most importantly, it's a good solid case at a good price. It gives as much protection from drops and bangs as a hard case would. The pockets aren't as spacious as some other cases, but they accomodate an iPad and cables. Appears to be well-constructed, zippers seem solid, etc. Most importantly to me, it fits my Takamine, which did not fit in a Gator case because of the slightly longer headstock.

Small point - my hygrometer is stuck. Musician's Friend offered to take it back, but rather than ship the thing all over the place for a cheap part, I opted for a discount. MF has been great - NO complaints there. But when I tried to track down Wolfpak to figure out how I could safely remove and replace the hygrometer, it took me a long time to find a phone number, and then it was out of service. The outdated website doesn't even have the case on it (although it does have a number of brass and woodwind cases). There's no contact info on the tag that came with it and no accompanying literature. I think the case will be fine, but it's something to keep in mind.

Great case. Got it for my new Epi DR-500MCE. Tight fit, but the guitar does not move around at all in itso I like that aspect. The polyfoam actually is alot more solid than I was expecting it to be. I have no doubts that it will protect my guitar very well while traveling with it. Would have given it 5 stars if there was some way I could lock the case. Other than that, no complaints.
