OVERVIEW

Classic warm Acoustic amp tone.

The Acoustic B115 bass cabinet has a professional enclosure designed for large clubs and live applications where it will fill any stage with depth and definition. Used in conjunction with the Acoustic B200H head, the B115 cabinet will easily handle the power of the amplifier and provide wall-shaking lows and a massive bottom end. Although conservatively rated at 250-watts RMS, any combination of B115 or B410 cabinets may be used for larger venues.

The B115 bass cabinet features a rock-solid, tuned and ported design with heavy internal bracing, caster sockets and professional spring-loaded touring handles with rubber grips. Heavy-duty rubber feet allow secure stacking and ensure solid placement on any floor surface. Rear panel features include a recessed jackplate with parallel dual 1/4" jacks and a horn on/off switch.

Classic Acoustic cosmetics include nickel corners, black grille cloth with white piping, heavy-duty road-worthy covering material and steel trim strips with understated blue accent color. It all adds to the durability (and legacy vibe) of this great cabinet.

The heritage of Acoustic comes through loud and clear in the B115 -- a seriously professional stage enclosure for serious bassists.

This thing is definitely worth it for the price, but there is an issue with it. I used this with a passive 4 string bass and it sounded fine. It did not distort at any volume I put the amp to and it got great tone consistently. The only problem is when I plugged in my active 5 string the sound distorted heavily on the B and E string when I turned the volume up past halfway. I was able to get the sound a bit cleaner by turning the bass boost down on my bass's EQ and playing softer, but it was a nuisance. Still, it's not a bad buy for the price.

If you're looking for more low end to add to your rig, then the Acoustic B115 is it. The best bang for your buck - bar none. However, I couldn't use this as a standalone cab. It's got to be paired with a 210, 410 or at least a better 115 with better mids. I tried all kinds of settings with different heads & EQs but I could never get a piano-like sound out of this thing. It's all lows & very little else (not counting the hiss if you turn the horn on). A little disappointing in this regard but it's golden when paired up with another cab.

Comments about Acoustic B115 250w 1x15 Bass Cabinet:

This is the best sounding cab @ 200watts the horn has no distortion and if you couple it with a 10" cab you have the BEST sounding rig. My Acoustic B200H can push 2 of these and 2 - 210 cabs easily for hours and hours without getting hot at optimal live volume. I have been using Acoustic since the 70's and they have never disappointed me or my gig.

Comments about Acoustic B115 250w 1x15 Bass Cabinet:

I bought two of these cabinets along with the 200 watt Acoustic bass head. The rig sounds great. The lows are deep, round and clean. The horns in the cabinets are a plus when I run my Alesis drum kit through the set-up. The EQ on the head alows me to sweeten the cymbals while the bass drum thumps perfectly. Again, no clipping even at moderately loud levels. Great sound, great value.

        True Acoustic tone

Comments about Acoustic B115 250w 1x15 Bass Cabinet:

I give it an overall great rating. Thin Tolex is nothing new and I think I`ll port mine with some stiff mailing tubes and hot glue but first I play the heck out of it.
On/off switch for the horn is a good thing. Tolex material is a little thin(get a cover), Pre installed caster socketts are a good thing.
        Quality construction but not ported.
Great value for the money and just a smart additional cabinet.

Sounds decent, good value for the money, horn not really of any use. No neutrik connectors. Looks cool, quality ok.

Comments about Acoustic B115 250w 1x15 Bass Cabinet:

I bought this cab with the acoustic 200w head. It used to sound really good (not enough high end though), but i played a few practices, and it started to sound distorted, i kinda like a little overdrive on my bass but this just sounds bad, i brought it home and played it at about 1/2 volume and it still sounded distorted. I'm looking to get a better cab. Mabey it's just my cab, i hope others aren't having this problem. Do some research before you buy it.

        Not happy

        By #2 bassman

        from south Texas

Comments about Acoustic B115 250w 1x15 Bass Cabinet:

I bought this cab as a second unit for a job I was doing once a week for 3 months in a club where we had to carry stuff up the stairs. I wanted to leave it there. The first problem was it was not loud enough so I bought a 4 ohm speaker and replaced it and that did not fix it. When I cranked it up would distort although it never did on my other cab (Carvin 4x10). It is ok for low volume but thats about it.

        Good cab, poorly constructed

Comments about Acoustic B115 250w 1x15 Bass Cabinet:

The low end on this cab is great, especially for more rhythmic bass. My problem with this is after having it for 6 months, the input jacks and the switch in the back caved in and I had to open it, readjust it, and now the only thing holding it in place is my 1/4" cable that connects it to the head, it's a great speaker but crappily held together.

        Electric Fiddler

Comments about Acoustic B115 250w 1x15 Bass Cabinet:

I play an electric 4 string fiddle with frets. I was using a Fender Twin Reverb but could not get the sound I wanted. I added this cabinet as a stack. Made all the difference in the world. I can play rock, change a few setting and I can play classical, blues, country or hillbilly fiddle. Truely awesome setup to give you that full range.
