Massive output, advanced tone shaping, and convenient controls make the B450 combo a must-have.

The 450W Acoustic B450 Combo Bass Amplifier is equipped with 2 inputs—1 for passive and 1 for active pickups. Additionally, the B450 combo offers you input gain and output volume controls.

A clip indicator informs you when your signal is overdriving the preamp. Although with the harmonically rich distortion of the B450's preamp circuit, you definitely should try overdriving it. Add the bass combo amp's 6-band EQ and footswitch controlled notch filter into the mix, and you've got total tone control. The B450 bass amp's tuner Send signal, coupled with the footwitchable mute function, give you the capability of tuning your bass silently on stage.

The Acoustic B450 bass combo's rear panel offers an array of possibilities. The external speaker output enables connection to additional speaker cabinets (down to a 2 Ohm load) for earthshaking bottom, and increases the total output to 600W (2 Ohms).

The direct out with independent level control—which you can send pre or post EQ—is perfect for getting a solid DI signal to a console for live sound reinforcement or studio recording. The Acoustic 450W bass amp's effects loop with mix control allows you to work with line-level, studio-grade effects for advanced tone shaping. The Acoustic B450 is the perfect bass combo for high-volume club gigs and more.

Best "KEYBOARD AMP" For the $$$!

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I cannot say enough about this combo amp: more power than you'll ever need, side recessed handles to provide for reasonable moving of a 70+lb piece of equipment, cooling fan that's usually found in much higher priced amps, rugged exterior construction, and above all: cost per horsepower. Even Behringer can't top the value.

The ONLY modification I'd make if I ran the company would be to change the grill from that soft fabric to a metal grid (like GK and SWR--that looks rugged).
Yes, that header is correct: This is an extraordinary keyboard combo amp. The twin 10s and horn give you all the clarity, punch and brilliance that a Barbetta, Roland, Peavey, Traynor or any of the other so-called "keyboard" amps do, at half the price.

The only issue with bass combo amps that becomes restrictive when used as a keyboard amp is that you'll need to input your lines to a small unpowered mixer first, then run a single line out of that into the bass combo, since most bass amps have only one input. But even that additional cost coupled with the cost of this amp pales in comparison with a "real" keyboard amp that gives you four channels, lots of weight and not much more. If you play Hammond B3 sounds out of your keyboard, you cannot do better than a bass amp with twin 10s and a horn. It really gives that organ sound thickness and projection, unlike many keyboard amps.
Acoustic amps have been around longer than dirt.
This amp should sell for at least twice as much. You spend more for other companies' speaker boxes with no amps included.

    Acoustic B450 Bass Amp

    By Edward Cassesa

    from Florida

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I'm happy with the amp. I like the power, the amazing tone control capabilities, and the portability. I'm also very happy with the sound produced by the amp. I look forward to using it at more gigs. The negatives mentioned above are minor, and do not detract from the overall quality of this amp. I'd recommend it to any bass player for it's adaptability to any playing opportunity.
I purchased this Amp in February 2012, but haven't had a chance to use it at a live gig until recently. I love the amp. I played an Acoustic 360 in the early 70s. It was a huge bass cab and amp but it was the only amp I ever needed back then. It could only be transported in a van or truck. The B 450 fits nicely in the front passenger seat of my Ford Mustang! It sounded great in all venues. The B450 is a powerful amp and the controls are fantastic. I've been able to finely adjust the tone to fit my basses (both Fender Jazz and Precision) and the venue...small clubs to outdoors in a park. Fine tuning the tone settings gives you a wide range of bass tones...much more than any other controls in other amps I've used in the past.
I have only two negatives and they are minor...the fan is a bit noisy but it doesn't matter once you start playing. The amp vents are on top of the amp preventing placement of items on top of the amp...which is probably never a good idea anyway. The ernie ball casters are the way to go since the amp does not come with casters. And no amp cover, but check out Home Depot for the Weber grill cover # 7450. It fits pretty well and protects the amp from dust and other debris. It's not a real sturdy cover but it does the job.
The amp cabinet is rugged and well built. I haven't had any problems with loose screws or buzzing or odd sounds. The amp has performed flawlessly for me. I like the two 10 inch speaker configuration anyway, and with the horn, the amp sounds terrific. I get deep bass tones and the highs come through crisp and clear. I worry a little about the soft material front grille cover, but like any other piece of equipment, you need to be careful while transporting it. My Ampeg Rocket bass amp has a soft cover and I'm just very careful when I transport it to jobs. It's never been a problem.
Based on comparison with other combo amps, the Acoustic B 450 is a fair priced piece of equipment. I have 3 other amps, two Fenders and an Ampeg, and the price of the Acoustic is close to the price of the other amps.

    Awesome Bass Combo Amp!!

    By Esperanza Avina

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I have owned this bass combo amp for about 4 months. I have taken it to three concerts. It has been a great amp with truly earth-shaking sound!! I was a little hesitant before I bought it, but it was highly recommended by a friendand fellow musician so I ended up buying it. He was right: this is an excellent amp with excellent sound for a bass player. I also highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a combo amp. I bought the B450 Bass Combo plus also on the side," I bought the Acostic cabinet with the 15"" subwoofer that gives you 250W. So by connecting this Acoustic cabinet to the B450 it gives me the total output of 600W that the Acoustic B450 provides", which makes it even better!

    Great Sound! Questionable Quality...

    By John-lAt1d

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I was looking for a portable rig that I could easily carry around. After doing some research I tried out the Acoustic B450 at Guitar Center and was blown away by the power and tone, which was close to and Ampeg. Despite the 71 pounds I decided to get it. Three months later it blew with the gain at 10 O'clock and the volume at 2 O'clock and returned it to Guitar Center, "luckly I purchased the 3 year warranty." They gave me a new one, but it was defective out of the box. It made a nasty rattle sound on the low b and began to spread on every chord. I took it back and traded it in for a GK MB210. They didn't have any in stock so they ordered it for me. Hopefully this one does better quality wise, sound wise I'm not so sure about. I tried out the display GK MB210 and it didn't have the same quality sound as the first B450 I got, and the power was disappointing compared to the b450 since it only pushes 350w into the cab. It's advertised as 500w but that's only on the output. All in all, Acoustic makes great sounding amps, but I'm questioned by their quality.

    Lots of Power

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

This amplifier is amazing. When I bought this as an upgrade to the crappy sounding Rumble 15 I have, I was blown away. This clarity and sound that comes out of this is MASSIVE and makes any Squier sound a lot better (it sure did to mine). Do buy amp casters though, otherwise its not going to be easy to carry. I don't even know if I'm going to buy an Ampeg because this thing is freaking awesome.

    Pleanty of punch and clarity

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I went to the store to buy different brand bass combo that was supposed to be 600 watts. It sounded like crap. The Acoustic 450 was sitting right next to it so I decided to try it. WOW. I was blown away by the clarity and punch that was delivered from a 2x10 cabinet. Extremely clean and deep lows. Excellent highs. One of the best sounding combo amps I have ever owned and I have been playing for over 20 years. The casters are a big plus because the amp is a bit heavy.

    Worth It!!

    By Stephen-wCaI_

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

This cab was making noise every time I hit a low Eb & or in that range sounds like a screw was loose.. Took it back got another one. My main bass is a Tobias 5 string with Elixir nano coated strings."bright but my bass is naturally beefy". If you want a Cab that will reproduce exactly what ur bass sounds like, then this is it then its loud for 2x10s nice bottom end. when u want it to Bite it handles well it can get a bit boomy but since the "EQ actually works" u can compensate. you can add a 15" to it just plug it in the back and boom.. Cons: you cant sit on top because the cooling fans are on top

    A Real Surprise!

    By Tyberius

    from columbia, TN

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

Got a great deal on one when the amp I was promised by the store was defective. I was skeptical about the product's claims, but all I can say is WOWZER! Tons of output power, great tone, the tone controls ACTUALLY WORK! Has sockets for casters, casters not included. The Ernie Ball casters work perfect. Let's see: 2 10's, a switchable horn, silent tuner out, up to 600 watts with an extension cab. Awesome (if it proves durable).

    Super Thump

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

All I can say is WOW, for it's weight and size this Amp really delivers, I used to play through an Ampeg 2br, and thought it's sound was adjustable with it's EQ, but the B450 Really can shape your sound. I plugged a 1x15 cab to it and the low's on my 5 string really jumped to a whole new level, highly recommend this product.

    Unbelievable Power

    By Just_Play_Loud

Comments about Acoustic B450 450W 2x10 Bass Combo Amp:

Bought this w/a B510 and a B115. The B450 kicks serious butt and it can be silky-mellow to a serious slap/pop with perfect reproduction. There' a problem :: the factory iggys you if you have a problem. The speaker connex are defective and they don't care. If you can solder two wires though it's fantastic.
