A Good Deal On A Good Amp.

I bought this little gem to for jamming in the den rather than pulling one of the amps out of my home studio. (It has since been moved into the studio.)

My Standard Strat (MiM) sounds awesome through it. If you crank the treble to 8-9 and put the bass and mid at around 2-3, you get a fabulous sound especially with the pups in the blended positions (#'s 2 & 4 on the pup selector). You can dial back the treble using the tone controls on the guitar.

The clean channel sounds awesome and is very tweakable. The Drive channel is capable of major distortion but it sounds smooth, though there is a slight bit of white noise but it is drowned out when you're blasting away so don't worry about it.

I ran my Les Paul (Gibson Studio w/ mahogany top)
through the amp and at higher volumes it sorta pushes the speaker causing some distortion even in the clean setting but if you need a lot of volume you aren't going to be looking at 10 watt amps anyway.

There are a multitude of solid state practice amps out there and I've played a lot of them. This is one of the few that I would buy again.

The only knock I found is that the logo plate on the front is large and garish so I took it off. If you use a sharpie to re-blacken the area around the screw holes before replacing the screws, you will never notice the logo plate is missing.

this amp is very unhip to own but it sounds great for quiet practice by the couch...the sound is very full and warm....i use a reverb pedal to warm it up more ...i dont use outboard distortion pedals with it but i imagine they would sound really good...i use the rhythm channel....the heavy metal lead channel sounds AWFUL..only a complete loser would use that channel......i set the rhythm channel volume to 2 or 3, the bass and mid full up and treble at noon...gets a nice pleasing fat tone with my telecaster...pleasant for low volume jazz or blues....or whatever...very warm and full sound...one of the best solid state amps ive heard for home practice...sounds way better than the digital Fender amps....this amp is not digital....digital amps suck ,..the price is insanely low..!!.?..how can you go wrong..?..i might get another just to have around...

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a good little amp. The lead sound gets nice and crunchy with my LP and the clean channel sounds very good, though it won't seem to play as loud on the clean channel.

The three band eq is easy to use and versatile. The mid shift makes it easy to get metal crunch sound. I find the aux in to work great and sound clean and the headphone out works fine, too.

It's a cheap, small amp done well.

Bought this amp to use at school and when traveling. It's a great practice amp, and has incredible sound for a small amp. I've been playing some blues and classic rock on it and the tone is just right. The clean channel has a nice warmth to it that I didn't really expect from a cheap amp. I would definitely recommend this product for beginners and advanced players as a portable practice amp.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I just moved across the country and unfortunately wasn't able to bring all of my gear with me. I have invested a lot in amps (66' super reverb, princeton reverb, marshall plexi, and a rivera r-30, all of which are tube amps) so I really did not want to spend a lot of money just to have something to practice on. I can honestly say that I did not expect much out of a cheap little solid state amp but this thing is just great! I have only used it in my apartment but it gets loud enough to annoy the neighbors and you could probably even use it for gigs at small venues if you wanted to. It has a pretty decent sound when you get it dialed in for the tone you want. Now if you are looking for tube amp tone you need to just break down and get a tube amp. If you are looking for something that won't break the bank and is going to sound good check this amp out. I have been playing for quite a while and would recommend this to parents who want to get their children into playing guitar, people who want to start playing guitar, and all you gear heads out there who are looking for a cheap amp to mess around on/travel with/take to a friend's house for a jam.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Having recently gotten back to playing guitar and having my first electric with the need of an affordable amp, this was a great choice. I love the sound and really don't have to turn up the volume as it is plenty clear at a lower level. I like the features of the lead and rhythm options and you can adjust the sound quality in many ways. My only wish is a reverb and delay feature maybe, of course, this is a smaller amp and does exactly what it is described to do. For the price, I am truly enjoying this amp. Lightweight and easy to move around, but solid when sitting on the floor.
