I bought this little gem to for jamming in the den rather than pulling one of the amps out of my home studio. (It has since been moved into the studio.)

My Standard Strat (MiM) sounds awesome through it. If you crank the treble to 8-9 and put the bass and mid at around 2-3, you get a fabulous sound especially with the pups in the blended positions (#'s 2 & 4 on the pup selector). You can dial back the treble using the tone controls on the guitar.

The clean channel sounds awesome and is very tweakable. The Drive channel is capable of major distortion but it sounds smooth, though there is a slight bit of white noise but it is drowned out when you're blasting away so don't worry about it.

I ran my Les Paul (Gibson Studio w/ mahogany top)
through the amp and at higher volumes it sorta pushes the speaker causing some distortion even in the clean setting but if you need a lot of volume you aren't going to be looking at 10 watt amps anyway.

There are a multitude of solid state practice amps out there and I've played a lot of them. This is one of the few that I would buy again.

The only knock I found is that the logo plate on the front is large and garish so I took it off. If you use a sharpie to re-blacken the area around the screw holes before replacing the screws, you will never notice the logo plate is missing.

I bought this little amp at night. I changed my mind and decided I would rather have the Bigger model, so the next morning I called as soon as the store was open and before the product had been shipped. I wanted to cancel this order and buy the bigger model which was not going to be available for a few week. He said he couldn't help me because I paid with PayPal. I had an issues before and had to return a drum machine when you sent me the wrong model. I had to wait a few days for you to return my PayPal payment but that was not a problem for me. I told the salesman I would pay for the bigger model with a credit card and wait on my PayPal return since there still several weeks before you actually had the product to ship. He said there was nothing he could do. I was very disappointed.

This ten Watt amp has plenty of power for home practice. I haven't got it past 12-o'clock yet and I'm driving people out of the house. Great sound, plenty of power, no worries.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I never owned an Acoustic Lead Series amp before. It sounds really good. For only 10 watts, it is loud and heavy. It's larger than I thought it would be. It's solidly built. I got it at a great price. I like the 3 year warranty. It's a basic, no frills amp. I wish it had reverb though. It has 2 channels- clean and lead. This amp suits my needs perfectly. I really love this amp. Highly recommend.

Got this guy in the other day at a really great price and am really impressed with it. It's the first amp I've ever bought from Acoustic. It's solidly built and looks great, sounds even better. It also gets very loud for only having a 10W 8" speaker.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Having recently gotten back to playing guitar and having my first electric with the need of an affordable amp, this was a great choice. I love the sound and really don't have to turn up the volume as it is plenty clear at a lower level. I like the features of the lead and rhythm options and you can adjust the sound quality in many ways. My only wish is a reverb and delay feature maybe, of course, this is a smaller amp and does exactly what it is described to do. For the price, I am truly enjoying this amp. Lightweight and easy to move around, but solid when sitting on the floor.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Ok, I already had the G20 and was amazed at the tone, warmth and volume. I was going to trade in my Marshall Valvestate 12AX7 because I can't turn it up loud enough to overdrive the tubes. I always like to have two amps. Well I made the mistake of trading for a Blackstar Core 10 Modeling Amp. It lasted one night. Very thin and nasally sounding. Ok, the G10 is not as loud as the G20,you could play a small gig with the 20. But it's a great little practice amp. When you turn the midshift button on, it really sounds warm and overdriven. I've played it with both Active EMGs and Passive pickups and it sounds great on both. I've had Blackstar, Marshall, Randall and Fender practice amps and this little Acoustic is just so much better, it's definitely a hidden gem.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I just moved across the country and unfortunately wasn't able to bring all of my gear with me. I have invested a lot in amps (66' super reverb, princeton reverb, marshall plexi, and a rivera r-30, all of which are tube amps) so I really did not want to spend a lot of money just to have something to practice on. I can honestly say that I did not expect much out of a cheap little solid state amp but this thing is just great! I have only used it in my apartment but it gets loud enough to annoy the neighbors and you could probably even use it for gigs at small venues if you wanted to. It has a pretty decent sound when you get it dialed in for the tone you want. Now if you are looking for tube amp tone you need to just break down and get a tube amp. If you are looking for something that won't break the bank and is going to sound good check this amp out. I have been playing for quite a while and would recommend this to parents who want to get their children into playing guitar, people who want to start playing guitar, and all you gear heads out there who are looking for a cheap amp to mess around on/travel with/take to a friend's house for a jam.
