I bought this to replace a Randall Minion 15 R which replaced a Fender Frontman 15 G. Wow is there a difference! I have read some other reviews who complain about the lack of power, this is a practice amp. You could probably play a smal bar and band practice for sure; anything larger you need to pay more than hundred for an amp. I have also heard a complaint about the lack of distortion, which was my main worry. It has plenty of distortion and gain; not sure what guitars the other reviewers are playing. The best feature is the "MidShift Button", it works on rhythym or lead channels and makes texturing your tone just a bit very easy. As someone who is still taking lessons and learning, I appreciate a good quality practice amp. It is nice to be able to hear clearly when I clunk a chord or accidentally catch another string. I didn't have that clarity with the Randall or the Fender and the distortion is much better. I'm very glad that I traded my amps in on other equipment and left me with an opening to buy this gem.

The amp gets all great reviews, and it's well constructed, but it has absolutely nothing tone wise to scream about. Sure, you can crank it up, get loud, easy to transport, small and inconspicuous. I'm not saying that to many ears out there, who haven't been around as long as I have, and rave about this combo, are incorrect in their reviews, because as you know, beauty or "sound", is in the eye and ear of the beholder. It's a mediocre little tone machine for the critical ear, and, any truly good amp creates a connection between your hands, heart and expression, and makes you want to keep plugging in. I rarely, if ever do. I try a new guitar out in this Acoustic G 20, or use it for small rehearsals in my basement, just as a tool to learn new material with. But, for the price, and the non discerning ear who perhaps is not a tone freak or a critical listener and player, who spent a lifetime searching for the Holy Grail of amps, and was fortunate along the way to own some, it is what it is. Cheap, compact, enough power for small gigs and rehearsals, 2 channels, ( the overdrive blows), and has a 10" speaker.

    Good amp bad speaker

Comments about Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

The amp is to be expected for what it is but the speaker is total junk. I ended up putting a Jensen Mod 35 in it. It is ten times better than the speaker that comes with the amp. The amp clean and dirty channels both sound good for the price.

Great little amp! Very loud! I just use it in my office for practice. I have the 120 watt version in my studio.

My 2nd Acoustic G20 Amp purchase.

Comments about Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

A very clean amp for home use, full tone range when you turn up the bass it really sound like a bigger amp. this is my second G 20. I purchased the 1st after trying it out at Guitar Center. I plan to use both amps for stereo. These amp are replacing 2 Fender 25R amps that I gave to family members. I like 10 inch speakers and I don't miss the reverb that the Fenders had. I don't use the distortion channel.

Cheap price, but only one input jack, and not very good sound. The 100 amp model is very good, that
one I would recommend, but not this G20

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I play music in several places and got tired of loading and unloading heavy amps. I took a chance and man, am I glad I did. I plugged it in got my Epi Masterbuilt plugged up and I was so overwhelmed by the clear as a bell sound that filled the room. It's easy to use and I followed the Mfg's suggested setting and what a sound.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I'm a beginner. I bought an Ibanez Artcore Hollowbody AF75 with the intention of adding an amp when I understood better what this self teaching guy was up to. The amp amazes me. Love it! More powerful than the guitar needs but it also does wonders with a pickup on my mandolin and homemade harp!
