I bought this to replace a Randall Minion 15 R which replaced a Fender Frontman 15 G. Wow is there a difference! I have read some other reviews who complain about the lack of power, this is a practice amp. You could probably play a smal bar and band practice for sure; anything larger you need to pay more than hundred for an amp. I have also heard a complaint about the lack of distortion, which was my main worry. It has plenty of distortion and gain; not sure what guitars the other reviewers are playing. The best feature is the "MidShift Button", it works on rhythym or lead channels and makes texturing your tone just a bit very easy. As someone who is still taking lessons and learning, I appreciate a good quality practice amp. It is nice to be able to hear clearly when I clunk a chord or accidentally catch another string. I didn't have that clarity with the Randall or the Fender and the distortion is much better. I'm very glad that I traded my amps in on other equipment and left me with an opening to buy this gem.

Great Amp

By Ricardo Gutierrez

from Ardmore

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

Try this product as soon as you can. I mean really. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE!
Well it has very basic, easy features. The only thing special is that the lead side replicates an overdrive and when you engage the mid shift, it turns into a high gain amp.
Well it is solid and all the buttons and switches feel great and durable. The sound quality is great. On te overdrive lead you have a nice crispy clear overdrive. When playing chords, it is nice and clean and it rings vs. some amps that have a mush distortion. When the mid shift is engaged it has a dokken kind of sound. It is supposed to simulate an amp with cut mids but I just turn them up and it is like playing a high gain amp. This amp has a lot of bit and when you compare it to the vox vt20 +, this amps remains victorious.
Super great price for such a great rockin amp. I have played the mustang, vot vt+, and orange amplifier and this amp was better in my opinion. I have been around great tube amp and the price for this amp and its sound is astonishing.

The Acoustic G20 20watt guitar amp

    By JOHN FOSTER

    from Nashville, Tn.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

VERY VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT!!! This amp fit my purpose. I could play straight out of it for a small jazz dinner set. For most purposes, I put the amp in a stand and face it towards me; then I put a mike on it and let the PA do the work. It sounds great with multiple pedals. I do wish it had it's own reverb.
4 great tones: Loud beefy clean tone, Switch to dip the midrange out for an even cleaner sound, great crunch when you hit the overdrive switch.....and great saturation if you need the "Santana" sustain. Light and Loud!!!
    Love the workmanship
For my purposes, AWESOME VALUE(thanks Musician's Friend!) I need an inexpensive light and loud great sounding amp. Now I have one.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

If you want an amp without all the bells and whistles, this is it. Great sound, portable and powerful for it's size. IMHO one of the best built in distortions I ever heard in a solid state amp. The distortion circuit and the EQ section are very responsive to minor adjustments. The mid shift button adds a nice palette of sounds. A very nice unit. This is why Acoustic has been around so long. Enjoy!

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

Other reviews are already telling you how great this sounds, or how loud it gets, so I decided instead to talk about the features that I like, and how this compares to other amps around this price range. First off, it's got a 3-band EQ. I know that doesn't seem special, but when you consider that a lot of amps only come with a 2-band, or a single tone/contour/ISF or whatever knob, you'll appreciate the level of tone control here. Then there's a mid-shift button gives you even more tone options. The 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone and aux in jacks are more realistic for the home-brew guitar player, no special studio headphones or adapters needed. It does sound great through headphones too, which helps when you need some quiet practice. Even when this amp isn't on super sale, there's certainly nothing else near having both 20-watts and a 10" speaker that doesn't cost much more. You get an adjustable gain knob on the overdrive channel, instead of going from no gain to full gain. Separate volume control for both channels is also a nice touch. An easily accessible speaker and fuse if you needed to replace either. The cord appears to be the standard kind you plug into the back of most desktop computers/monitors, so not only could you replace it, you could even buy a longer one for it. The carrying handle is a rugged, yet very comfortable molded rubber, which lays down perfectly flat when you're not using it. Some would say that a built-in reverb or delay would've been nice, but honestly, you're going to have much more control and options by using a pedal out front. I've been using mine with an iRig for DSP effects with really good results. Whether or not these specific features appeal to you, I hope this review was at least somewhat helpful.

The amp sounds good and is easy to use. I'm a heavy tube amp user and like the sound of tube amps. For these of transport, this little amp does good. It not only sounds great, but has a nice warm tone to it.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

l needed a lightweight amp , l could haul in , and out easily , and this was perfect one for that.l did add a Ragin Cajun speaker , only because we mic the amps , n run through a PA ,and l sit close to the brass section, so l wanted some additional oomph to compete with them , plus we use our amps as moniters also. lt works just fine , with additional headroom if needed. l use a reverb pedal, and a green screamer, and a sonic stomp to push amp a little ,and it takes pedals just fine too. l do not even need to turn amp more than halfway. l should say l use the clean channel , mostly, and have not really used the hot channel yet. l will say though the speaker it came with sounded just fine too, with good tone , l just needed as l said some additional muscle . For smaller venues , this is a fine amp , you will see this is good amplifier for modest uses. l say give it a try , l bet you'll like it.

Acoustic G20 20 watt guitar amp

          By ANGELO DEBONA

          from Crossville TN

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

It could use reverb and I would like to see a good digital delay built into the amp so that there would be less cords laying around. The digital delay you have built in on your 35 watt amp (next step up) is not very good and sound wise it can't even come close.
It has all the tone controls I need but could use reverb. It is light weight and easy to carry to our jam sessions or to play around the house.

I use a DD-3 digital delay with the amp and the sound is sweet and clear and it out performs my more expensive amps as far as sound goes. I get a lot of commits when I play out with this amp and it such a joy to play music when the sound you want is there!!!! It doesn't matter if I use my 1973 Strat. or my Epiphone Dot with theDD-3 digital delay and amp combination, both sound great.
I haven't owned this amp to long. As anything else, time tells but I am pleased so far.
You can't buy an amp at this price that you can feel so comfortable with when your playing out. My wife and I go out to eat at a decient restraunt and sometimes I pay more for our meal as I paid for this amp. I can still can go on playing my amp with no added cost but I will have to spend more if I wanted to go out to eat. It's a good investment and so reasonable that you can't really aford to let this pass you by. You will be sorry later if you did.
