The Analog Custom Shop Analog Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal, from the Akai Professional, is your secret weapon in creating a thick, lush customized sound. Chorus is housed in heavy-duty polished stainless-steel. True-bypass switching combined with adjustable Tone, Speed and Spread knobs provide a wide range of precision control.
Chorus can be set to achieve a variety of effects ranging from a multiple guitar sound to fast-repeat staccato attacks. Dialing in the desired effect is accomplished by adjusting three onboard knobs. Tone controls the frequency from low to high, Speed changes the rate at which the repetition occurs and Spread sets the spatial dynamics of the effects sound. The Rate Switch provides an extra level of control adding fast and slow repetition control.
Akai Professional's Analog Custom Shop Chorus adds natural sounding, clear adjustable accompaniment for a unique sound.
Chorus is powered by the included 9-volt battery or 9v AC adapter (sold separately).
As with previous Akai Professional guitar pedals like the E2 Headrush and SB1 Deep Impact Bass Synth, the Analog Custom Shop line is a collection of pedal effects designed to exacting standards, using the highest quality components. I got this pedal a couple of months ago and i'm still finding new ways to get more sound out of it. This thing has some good range and adds pleasant texture to the sound. it can be as subtle or pronounced as you want depending on how you tweak it. Make sure you play with where you put it in relation to your other pedals. Right now, I like the effects loop of the amp, but everyone has their preferences.
one thing to note, i play with some boss pedals and they fit nicely together on my pedal board because of their compact size...this is about double the width and in general just larger.

I love this pedal! I have owned a couple chorus effects and the biggest issue that I've come across in other pedals is high frequency pulse or warble.
Its construction is solid and easy to use/understandable knobs
This pedal can be subtle or huge! but always a pleasure to the ears. The time (slow/fast) switch is a great feature for those looking to get a broader effect change. and the depth goes from nearly transparent to overwhelmingly deep!
It adds a beautiful touch to my acoustic or electric through my Marshal amp and plugged directly into any venue's speakers.
I am still loving it after months of playing

I compared this to my Boss ch-1 and EHX small clone chorus's. This pedal has more punch and cutting thru power. I played this pedal through my Twin Reverb with a 72 Thinline RI. This chorus pedal shines thru with bass and liquidity that exceeds the Boss and EHX. With my USA Strat, I felt waves of liquid smoothness and warmth. This is a pro quality pedal you can be proud of.
