No complaints. This cab sounds great and has superior tone. Great quality at a very affordable price. I have the protaflex head and it screws right into the flip top. I also keep all of my cables and tuner in the storgae compartment. With everything in the cab it only weighs about 50lbs so its very easy to take from gig to gig.

Ampeg recently replaced my BA600 2x10 combo amp (in for repairs more than I got to play lemon amp) with a Portaflex 500 and 2x10 cabinet. I am very happy with the sound and tone of the portaflex and bought a second cabinet to complament it. With the second 2x10 cabinet stacked the sound is even better. I am very happy with Ampeg's service center for making good after 2 years of anguish with the BA600 amp. I've done a couple of shows with the Portaflex 500 and the two 2x10 cabinets and I am very pleased with the sound and overall performance. I defiantly recommend it.
Great tone features for a wide variety of music. Nice thumping low end and crisp high. The flip top head feature protects the head from damage when transporting equipment. Speaker cabinets are easy to transport unlike the large cabinet of another amp I have.
I also like the direct line feature for playing big venues. Don't have to mic or use direct box any more.
Built well. Very sturdy cabinets . I put the wheels on the cabinet that I use on the bottom of the stack and left them off the second cabinet. Cabinets are great to store your cords and wireless unit in when transporting.

Bought this amp for my son. It's not a bad amp for the price. However in my opinion, since there is no port, it sounds much better with the top cover removed. After the warranty has expired, I may put a four inch port in the cabinet. The quality is questionable so far. The first time it was taken to a gig, one of the mounting brackets for one of the wheels fell off. I checked the others and the screws were all about to fall out. I guess you get what you pay for...

This is an awesome cab. I purchased it with the PF-500 Amp and it really sounds amazing! A great deal for the money.
