I had an SVT-4 PRO and SVT410 HLF, for my rig and as much as I liked it, it was always lacking that big fat bottom that I wanted. Adding this cabinet made all the difference in the world. Now its got lots of bottom and the articulation for mids and highs that cut right through. 10's are good, but with a 15 it is is FAR better.

I had two of these cabs for about 2 weeks played them 3 times with a traynor yba200 all tube head, and after about an hour of play time they'd distort and sound horrible. Called the music store and they called ampeg and of coarse they were no help what so ever ,wouldn't even replace the speakers.So now I have peavey black widows in em which sound great.So don't not buy new ampeg buy old u.s.a made if you do.

even though it doesn't have a port, the sound carries a long way. played an outdoor show with a death metal band w/ 2 guitarists. could have either brought a 4x10 or the 1x15 but not both due to space issues, thought i would get lost in the mix so i chose the 15. glad i did, the volume wasn't anywhere near 10 but all you could hear was bass and guitar feedback. (serves em right for hogging all thde space) even though its not made in the USA anymore, it still deserves a 9 because of the price. not cheap, but def a good deal.
15" speaker. rubber feet and removable casters. 2 1/4" and 2 speakon connectors. tolex, spring loaded handles. also has indents on the top for the feet of matching ampeg amplifier heads.
only thing its missing is a port.
good, round tone. definitely an ampeg product. sounds great with clean and distortion. also sounds great as the second cab for rhythm guitar, gives a lot of low end definition. rounds out solid state amps' sharpness.

I pair this with an Ampeg B2-48 (B2 Head with a 4x8" Cab) and I've got to say, the combo of the 4x8's and the SVT-15e is mind blowing. I run them both (4OHMS@350Watts) And this combo can fill a parking lot with ease. I play Rockabilly with an upright so high end is as important to get fretwork/slap across as much as the bass line itself is, and even out the 4x8 this bad boy can bring the higher end across without an issue. It is truly versitle and like all other Ampeg gear, built like a tank. Sure it is a little pricier than some, but with this you truly get what you pay for.

I used this amp for 4 years of playing, its been beat up, in 2 car accidents and it has no problems. It's heavy but has a great sound. I paired it with a B2R head and easily could keep up with the 2 full stacks I play with.

I am a guitar player who LOVES the sound of a 15" speaker, let me just say they are completely overlooked when it comes to guitar. I am extremely pleased witht the way it sounds and I hope my rating will encourage others to try it. Ampeg is a great brand and the SVT-15E sounds great underneath my Orange Rocker 30! It lacks no high end, and the lows are nice and firm, crunchy, perfect for chugging. You'll hear frequencies not possible from a 12" speaker, give it a try!

I just got my SVT15E and am really impressed with what this thing can do alone or with my hlf410 and SVT12e. I use the SVT Classic head and there is nothing that comes close to this. This is an 8ohm cab so you're technically not supposed to use it alone with the SVT Classic head but I do anyway and it sounds awesome.

Best cab i have played, run with an Ampeg SVT 410he and you will definitley blow people away. Picked up this cab a week abo, very thick, rich lows and nice low mids. With the full stack and a B2re I have absolutley wonderful tone

This Ampeg cab is everything you'd expect from Ampeg. It's full of tone clearity and great quality. This cab is affordable, yet powerful. I have paired this one with a Behringer UltraBass 300-watt head (which was just my starter head), and it sounds awesome! The only bad part is that mine didn't come with casters...but who cares. Not a big deal. Everything else is wonderful, and for the price, I would recommend this to any buyer. Whether you are a beginner or expert, this cab is great! I have had mind for 4+ years and the durability of this product is great! It can also handle a substantial amount of sound...I have overpowered a guitarist and drummer at the same time, and the guitarist had a full blown Marshall stack!!! I love this cabinet, and would buy it over and over again, if necessary (which I don't think I would ever have to).
