OVERVIEW

The ultimate tone machine from Ampeg.

AMpeg tone for a great price. Order now.

Get ready for explosive bass tone. This package features SVT-7PRO Head and SVT-410HLF Bass Speaker Cabinet Stack--------------------two of Ampeg' mosre celebrated head and cabinet, offering solid construction, immense power, and that distinct Ampeg tone that has made the company a household name.

SVT7PRO 1000W Class D Bass Amp Head
The SVT-7PRO pumps out a ferocious kilowatt of pure Ampeg tone in a compact design that weighs in at just 15 pounds. The SVT-7PRO features the same professional features as the other PRO Series heads including a flexible 5-position mid tone control, remote switching FX loop and a sleek onboard variable compressor.

The tube preamp boasts a premium JJ 12AX7 that feeds the weight-defying Class-D power section. It's portable and small but can power everything from a small single PN-115HLF up to a monster Heritage SVT-810E.

SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet
The Ampeg SVT-410HLF Enclosure gives you plenty of volume and clean low end. This 4x10" cabinet has the same speakers and 1" horn as the SVT-410HE with 2" coils and 30 oz. magnets, but the cabinet itself is tuned differently. It's deeper and has a bottom port that results in better low-end response, down to 28Hz!

Comments about Ampeg SVT-7PRO Head and SVT-410HLF Cabinet Bass Stack:

Every effect knob does just what you want it to do . It very well built and the bottom is very well toned to the head they work awasome together .
I would recommend this Ampeg outfit to any seasoned musican. I have play through mostly Fenders and thought I would try this Model to see what it could do . I was totally blown away the fist time I played out with this gear.I enjoy the power it has and the encredible sound of the head and bottom working together . I would recommend this package to anyone who plays pro. This is the best of the best

Comments about Ampeg SVT-7PRO Head and SVT-410HLF Cabinet Bass Stack:

The Ampeg SVT-7Pro Head sounded good to me but not great. My main reason I got the head/setup was for portability playing out. Compared to say the Ampeg SVT-CL all Tube Head which sounds above and beyond but has weight to it and takes up more space transporting when playing out.

I really did like the Ampeg SVT-410HLF Cab a lot though. It has an impressive low end and is very tight and responsive as well. I got the rig based on good solid lower end sound and being able to transport easier for gigs than say the Ampeg SVT-810E Cab (Fridge).

I ended up sending the SVT-7Pro Head and 410HLF Cab back for the Ampeg SVT-CL all Tube Head and the SVT-810E Cab setup because I always had my heart set on that setup. I was also thinking of keeping the 410HLF Cab and add SVT-15E Cab to have the chest pounding low end but I still wanted to be portably friendly so that's why I choose the 810E Cab. It's still a beast to transport but the 810ECab has wheels and sliding racks to make it somewhat easier to move.

A friend of mine runs the 410HLF Cab and add SVT-15E Cab setup and it sounds fierce with super punch low end but its more to lug around on the road. Its all about preference of sound/tone and how hard you wanna work transporting your gear in the end. For a home studio rig I'd say the 410HLF Cab is a perfect Cab but I would also recommend looking past the Ampeg SVT-7Pro Head and going for an Ampeg SVT-CL Tube Head or any tube head of preference for the pure tone you want.

I play a Fender American Standard PBass with Fender 1962 PBass Pickups if this helps... Go play Bass!!!!!!

Comments about Ampeg SVT-7PRO Head and SVT-410HLF Cabinet Bass Stack:

Amp and cabinet sound great. When I bought it mistakenly assumed when they offered a combo deal such as the head and cabinet together that they would still leave room to add another cabinet in parallel. This wasn't the case. The HLF cab is 4 ohms which at max would draw 1000 watts from the amp into a 500 W cab. I wanted to pair it with an 8 ohm hartke, so I tried to exchange it. You can't unless you also send back the amp. And since it's what they call a 'remorse' buy, I would have to pay for return shipping on a 110 pound cabinet and amp. So, bottom line, do your homework, amp sounds great. Easy to dial in the sound you want.

Glad I traded in my SVT-CL and dual 15 cabinets

Comments about Ampeg SVT-7PRO Head and SVT-410HLF Cabinet Bass Stack:

I played thru a SVT-CL set-up for years and experienced numerous tube and bias issues with the unit..probably due to transporting and set-ups...plus the fact that I"m now over 60 and hoisting and 85 lb. brick ain't as easy as the old days. The Pro 7 has the same warm tones I got out of the CL and has been very reliable. The 4-10 cabinet provides for more pop on higher treble settings and the same low undertones I experienced with the dual 15's. Smaller is better!
