Comments about Ashdown Five Fifteen 15" Combo Bass Amp:

I bought this amp about a year and a half ago and has not gone wrong once. I am in a blues band, and two jazz bands and no mater what style of music this has great tone to it. I have used it in auditorums, basketball games churches and it never lets me down. Its just a good amp.

    Great Sound Great Value

Comments about Ashdown Five Fifteen 15" Combo Bass Amp:

This little Ashdown Five Fifteen has quickly become my favorite combo. It sounds way bigger than it should, is sturdy, easy to use and has awesome tone. No, it won't project over cranked up Marshall stacks and won't be enough on it's own for FOH at most venues, but for personal sound on all but the largest stages, it should be way more than adequate for most players. The external speaker jack is kind of pointless as it defeats the internal speaker. I assume that is because the amplifier is only able to use an 8 ohm load. That limits cabinet choice greatly and basically turns it into a really big, heavy, low wattage amp head. I think a preamp out would have been a much better use of space. Oh well. When used for what it is designed, this is a great little bass combo.

    disappointed

Comments about Ashdown Five Fifteen 15" Combo Bass Amp:

I am dissapointed with this amp. It is not as loudas I thought it would be. It has great sound but I have to crank it to hear it. I play an Ibanez soundgear SDGR500. I have to have the volume on my bass at least half way. But the thing that urks me the most is when I turn it off, the darn thing takes about 5 to 7 seconds to shut down. I have to wait there to unplug! This is a good practice amp plenty of bottom end, not loud enough for a club.

Good amount of power for the money.

Comments about Ashdown Five Fifteen 15" Combo Bass Amp:

With 100 watts and a 1x15" speaker this amp really can crank when you need it to. With the volume on 5 it's loud enough to practice with and at 7 it becomes a whole nother animal. I've not cranked it past 7 because 7 is totally loud. Nice amp, good tone, great price. What more can I say.

Nice amp to start with but ....

Comments about Ashdown Five Fifteen 15" Combo Bass Amp:

If I had written the first month I had it, I would probably have given it 8-9 stars on most counts. Loved the sound. Found it a bit bulk, but liked playing it. Nice and thumpy. So, four months down the road, I can't keep a fuse in it. Let me add, the amp was not abused. I'm getting ready to see how the warrenty service is. Noticed a few similar reviews right after I bought the amp. I'm not saying they're all like that, but be ready.

    Bumpin Amp

    By Mastogra

Comments about Ashdown Five Fifteen 15" Combo Bass Amp:

I got this amp along with a 6 string bass for x-mas from the folks. This combo pushes very well. It has a very crisp sound to it and it really can hit the lows. I was using a Peavey 60kb and this Ashdown by far blows it out of the water. Plus you get the external speaker option which is really nice. Along with the CD input. It's a beautiful amp that Fits my new sexy 6 string bass I also got from here.

    Brilliant!

Comments about Ashdown Five Fifteen 15" Combo Bass Amp:

This amp is very very nice. Dont expect to much in the features but its a basic powerful 15" bass combo to give you plenty of power to practice at home or for small gigs. This thing is quite big and heavy but the finish in every detail is flawless it looks beautiful. It has a very long and warm sustain, a nice punch and I really recommend this or any other ashdown bass combo Ive tried a few they are fantastic
