This EVO II MAG features an on-board compressor and vinyl covered cabinet.

MAG is designed for the busy semi-pro player who wants classic ABM tone without the more sophisticated facilities and connectivity.

The MAG C410T-300 EVO II 4x10 Bass Combo features a potent fan-cooled 307-watt RMS power section. Rotary bass, middle, and treble controls are supplemented by smaller rotary controls”providing 15dB of cut and boost at 220Hz and 1.6kHz and effectively creating a comprehensive 5-band EQ section. Additionally, front panel push switches for Bright and Deep settings provide instant access to attacking and warm, rounded sounds, respectively. On the subject of low-end response, the trademark Ashdown sub-harmonic generator is willing and able to deliver truckloads of earth-moving tone if called upon. Inputs are provided for active and passive instruments, and the front panel also features an effects send and return; a tuner/line output; and a balanced DI output for direct connection to a mixing console.

Power is delivered through custom Ashdown speakers”famous for their controlled and extended low end performance, exceptional midrange attack and bright top end.

The amplifier also includes a built-in compressor with precision sonic control, and the cabinet is finished in a tough, retro-style vinyl covering.

    Great amp!!!

    By Jason Luttrull

Comments about Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II 300W 4x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I recently purchased this bass amp, and I have to say I love it. It has some very nice features like both passive and active inputs, 5 channel EQ and a built-in compressor. I gave it an 8 on features because there are a few features I would like to see on it but they are not a deal breaker. First is there is no Aux port to plug an external device into like an iPod. A lot of newer amps come with this and it is a nice feature to have. Second is there is no ground lift switch. You never know how good or bad the electrical wiring is going to be in a place and sometimes you need the ground lift to get rid of that pesky hum created by not having a good ground in the house electrical. Like I said not deal breakers just a couple of nice additions Ashdown can make. Now this amp has pleanty of power for most any gig and the four 10 inch speaker have a great tone. It is a quality product and it is built like a tank. It weighs in at 97 pounds! One of the first things I did was go to my local hardware store and by some casters to install on it. Like I said the amp is great but what makes me the most pleased with it is the customer service you get from Ashdown as a company. Like I said I purchased this used and for the most part it was in like new condition. One thing that was wrong with it was the little black button covers on the face of the amp kept falling off. Upon closer inspection almost every one of them were cracked so they did not fit snug and fell off. I contacted Ashdown threw their website, received an email about a day later from an actual person asking me for my address and they would just send them to me at no cost to me, not even shipping...from the UK to USA. I did not have to provide a serial number or proof of purchase...nothing, they just stood by their product. In these days you can buy a great amp from several different companies but you will not always get great customer service from them all. Customer service is a lost art in our economy now days and if you find a company that offers great customer service hold on to them.

Comments about Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II 300W 4x10 Bass Combo Amp:

Have an ashdown 2x10 combo(Mag) and love it. Thought a couple of more 10's wouldn't hurt. Played my first gig with it and everybody loved the deep rich sound. Reminded me of my old SVT. Its a bit heavy but bass has to have some weight to it. Thats just pure physics. Ashdown combos are an incredible value and are very well made. The dials are simple and not too complicated, but enough where you have plenty of choices of sound.
    Well worth it.

Comments about Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II 300W 4x10 Bass Combo Amp:

you can't beat this amp. Just try the EQ
I have to tell you. I am a total GK bassist but for the price I could not pass this amp. To my surprise the EQ is versitile and usable. The four 10's are punchy and deep. This is an amp I leave parked at a relative's Steak House and Bar. It sounds great for any Bassist. If you don't believe me. Try One.

Comments about Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II 300W 4x10 Bass Combo Amp:

This thing sounds good at low volumes or blasting. It can get loud and still sound fantastic. It's got good handles and is a solid (ported) cab. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It's a little heavy but I still havent seen a light cab that can give me the bass, punch and power I need.
The EQ works very well. I can get deep reggae low's as well as sharp and punchy funk sounds.
It's well built. Gripes: I don't the buttons. What is that about? Also, the casters are the worst. I use a fold up travel dolly and just got rid of the casters. If you plan on adding the 115 you can't really use the casters anyway if you want to stack the cabs.
This is a great value. I bought mine used becuase I was shaky about a brand I had never played with. Knowing what I know now I would have probably bought new. This is a good bass amp.

    Broke when I got it

    By Collin Jacobs

    from Texas

Comments about Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II 300W 4x10 Bass Combo Amp:

    Good if its not broken
So I got it and took it out and it looked awesome and I couldn't wait to play it. Then I noticed the top was sitting a little off and looked at the side and the wood on both sides was completely sliced and broken. The back left part was hardly attached to the cab. I was so mad I didn't even play on it even though I knew it would probably be fine to play. With in 20 minutes had already talked to Musicians Friend about exchanging. It was package in the worst most unsafe cheap stuff I have ever seen so I don't doubt thats what it was broken. Please package the next one you are sending me better Musicians Friend. That would be nice.

Comments about Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II 300W 4x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I recently purchased this amp for my fretless. It's awesome. The tone is super flexible. I don't loose any of the defining tone characteristics of my bass unless I want to, and when I do I can easily add more low end than any sound man would ever allow you to add. It's all in there just waiting to pop out. The octave divider is a fantastic effect, it really needs a foot switch jack. It's almost worth soldering one in yourself, voiding your warranty to obtain. Their higher end amps have the switch jack built in, I wish they would have splurged and put it on this one.
I love the amp's lack of BS features (I'm not into modeling and digital filters). The compressor is the easiest thing to use, a must have for most bass guitars. Seriously just turn up the single knob and everything sounds better.
It also weighs in at a whopping "far too heavy to comfortably move by yourself" and "you'll avoid shows that involve staircases." Though if you have the help to move it, you'll find that the handles are built for combat and comfortable to hold onto.
For the clarity I require playing fretless (I need to hear myself clearly on stage or I'm out of tune), this amp definitely meets my needs both in volume and tone.
