Great screamer pedal! Affordable and perfoms well. I'm mostly using the Green Sceamer as a sorta clean boost to drive the front of my amps harder. Tightens up the tone and adds a bit of sustian without losing clarity.

Great Pedal. I had it on a pedal board that got stolen and it was one of the first things I replaced. In fact it was the only thing i replaced with an identical item.

its has a great tube sound overdrive. It has a responsiveness to your picking that Ive only ever seen in an amplifier. I rarely turn the pedal off. Its more or less always on when im playing. Its diverse enough that you can get away with that.

Its is however NOT extreme distortion. I find myself using a second pedal to boost the output of this one for playing leads. Great pedal i'd buy a third if this one got stolen or lost.

As far as construction goes the knobs were a little loose, but no biggie. otherwise its a steel brick.

I use this pedal as a boost in between my guitar and the amp input. I set the volume to ten and other controls to zero. With a sonic stomp in the fx loop these two pedals turn my 5150 into a nasty metal amp similar to killswitch engage or August burns red tone. I also recently started using it in between my les Paul and marshall tsl. It makes the Marshall a little more wild and tightens up the distortion. It also gives the slightest bit of crunch to the clean channel when left on and I can't get enough of it. Gives my lp Marshall combo a classic rock tone that rips and is versatile. Highly recommend this pedal for boosting an amp over the expensive popular boost pedals.

I am a pedalholic and a tone junkie. I'm constantly buying and trading pedals. I got mine off of Ebay for 50 bucks because I wanted a new overdrive pedal. This is a great, well built pedal. The overdrive is nice, smooth and responds well to your pick attack. I use a SG standard and a MIM standard Strat, plugged into a JCM 800 half stack, with an array of pedals. This pedal does enhance the tone of other effects as well. I A/B'd the TS9 and the Green Screamer and hands down the Green Screamer to me just sounds warmer at all settings. I actually replaced my TS9 on my pedalboard with this after playing with it. Only reason I haven't traded/sold the TS9 is I haven't bought another Green Screamer as a back up. Until then the TS9 is biding it's time. The LED is bright and easy to see, even on well lit stages. It does not color your tone whatsoever. Thank you True-bypass. The chassis feels like it could take a bullet and still go strong. Don't waste money on a TS9. This pedal may be cheaper, but it is definitely the better pedal. Just buy it.

had to throw my 2 cents in. This is a great overdrive pedal. it gives me exactly what I want.
I use it with a les paul and a few different strats, works with all. I also record direct with it.
it records very well. overall it's well worth the $$$. I highly recommend it.

ok, here's the deal. people buy the TS9 and then have the soft clipping diode modification to make it more like the TS808. don't bother just buy this pedal. it already has the modification of a dual op amp that gets you there with a warm smooth tone and extremely articulate attack. this is the best kept secret in the tube screamer market. if you're even thinking about getting a TS9 or TS 808. don't spend the money just get the BBE pedal. you'll be glad you did.

I've always found the TS-9 to be weak and prefer the sound of a TS-808. This pedal kind of gets you there. I'd say it's comparable to TS-808 with a little less bite and slightly quieter. But the price for this sound is unbeatable. If you play blues or southern rock this pedal is perfect for you. Works great in other contexts as well but that's the basic feel of this pedal. I have a boutique TS-808 clone that I use on stage but in the home studio, I use The Green Screamer and it's also good to know that I have it for a backup if my other one breaks.

I've had this pedal a few days now and it does everything I was looking for in it. I understand that it is a TS clone, but don't let that deter you as this pedal performs very well. I primarily use it to give a nice warm overtone to my already "dimed out" high gain tube stack. I also own a Bad Monkey and in comparison this pedal has a warmer sound, where as the BM has more bite to it (at least to my ears). As far as build quality goes BBE makes 'em as tough as they come. The true by-pass circuit is great, the housing is solid metal, and the power supply is included...can't beat that. I also own the Sonic Stomp and it is built just as well as this pedal. I highly recommend this for anyone who would use it the way I do or for standard rock, blues, etc.

I bought this pedal about 6 months ago for my bass. I read from a few posts on the internet that you can use this on bass without it sucking all of the actual bass out. Works perfect for me, I leave it on almost all the time to get just a little more tube sound coming out of my rig. Works great on guitar as well, but I'm a bass player so that's where this pedal is used. This pedal has the best of both worlds, the ts808 circuitry at an affordable price. I use active pickups if that helps.

I use this pedal with a Strat, X-50, and a basswood Peavey. Sounds great with all of them. It's definitely more for classic rock/blues. With the hotter pickups in my X-50 I can do some 80's metal. The tone from this is great, it really let's your guitar come through. I use it on the clean channel of a Champ 25 and with the bypass not sucking tone, it's like I've got another channel. The drive on those amps ain't so hot. But for me, this is perfect. OD sounds natural and there's enough gain for what I need without getting crazy. If it ever got lost, I'd get it again I think.
