Instant acoustic guitar.

The Behringer Acoustic Modeler AM300 pedal keeps the momentum from dragging when you switch out your trusty electric for an acoustic guitar in the middle of a set. The AM300 transforms your favorite electric into a rich, resonating acoustic.

With the flip of a switch, the AM300 can produce the sound of four different acoustics: Standard, Large, Piezo and Bright. Thanks to its Out and Dir Out jacks, the AM300 functions very much like an A/B box. Just use the Dir Out to send your unprocessed electric guitar signal to your onstage amp, and the Out jack to send the processed acoustic signal to the main/monitor mixer(s).

It's So Easy
Dedicated Level, Enhance and Resonance controls allow you to fine tune the acoustic model of your choosing. A status LED lets you know when it's activated, and you can power it with either a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (not included). A top-quality on/off switch maintains excellent signal integrity in bypass mode.

Features

  • Realistic acoustic modeling with any electric guitar
  • 4-mode switch lets you choose between authentic simulations
  • 2 individual outputs
  • Blue status LED
  • High-quality components and rugged construction.

Comments about Behringer Acoustic Modeler AM300 Guitar Effects Pedal:

Behringer took a LONG time to ship my order from the factory. I waited over a month for this pedal.
When I received it I noticed there are really no useful instructions (something on how to put the battery in might have been nice!) and no suggestions for settings.
I Finally figured out that the battery goes inside the top of the pedal and plugged my Strat in. I would in no way describe what I was hearing as an acoustic guitar tone on any setting, but it DID make for a nice fat electric tone similar to the rhythm guitar sounds the Stones used to use. I'll have fun with this pedal and I suspect I'll figure out how to get the tones I want.

Comments about Behringer Acoustic Modeler AM300 Guitar Effects Pedal:

I own one of these. It just arrived today. I ran my strat through it into an Epi Valve Jr. There is a marked softer, almost acoustic sound that gets generated. If the level and enhance knobs are turned past 12:00, you will hear a hiss. The "res" knob is good until 3:00, after which you get a hiss. To my ear, the "standard large" setting on the selector switch sounds best.

I found that the sound through the box is softer in volume and tone than the "naked" pickups by themselves. You may want to use a little extra reverb on your amp when using this pedal.

If you cast about on the web, you will find that most people are saying the same thing about this kind of stompbox that I am saying: if you have 1 or 2 songs in your set that might sound better with acoustic, this box will give your playing an acoustic shade without switching guitars. It won't sound exactly like an acoustic.

One more thing: this unit did not seem to work with my 9V Boss adapter or my Digitech 9V adapter. I do not yet know if that's because you need to have a battery installed (even a dead battery) to complete a circuit.
