OVERVIEW

The RM600 Rotary Machine's stereo rotary speaker simulations will put a whole new spin on your sound.

There's nothing quite like the sound of a speaker doing 180 RPM.

Rotary speakers were most commonly associated with keyboards and organs when first introduced. But eager guitarists soon wanted to harness this soulful, lively sound for their own purposes. The RM600 instills this appealing sound in stationary speakers, and you can even send signals from this stomp box to two different amps for a stunning stereo effect. With its Real Sound Modeling technology, this stomp box goes beyond approximation for a sound that will have your audience wondering where you're hiding your spinning speakers!

The RM600 simulates Slow and Fast rotation speeds, along with Drive and Drum/Horn blend. Use its two slide switches to select three different ramp speeds and three classic rotary speaker sounds. The bright blue LED tells you when the RM600 is activated. The tough metal footswitch maintains straight-wire signal integrity in bypass mode. You can power this head-turner with a 9V battery or a DC Power Supply (not included).

FEATURES
  • The ultimate Rotary Modeler that delivers the whole history of 3-dimensional rotary speaker effects—at the touch of a footswitch
  • Real Sound Modeling (RSM) combines state-of-the-art DSP technology with sophisticated algorithms to emulate real acoustic environments
  • Experience the classic and swirling sounds of those famous signature rotary speakers—all in one compact pedal
  • Dedicated Model, Blend, Drive, Slow, Fast and Ramp controls for awesome sound shaping
  • Status LED for effect on/off and battery check
  • Runs on 9V battery or the BEHRINGER PSU-SB DC power supply (not included)

Comments about Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine Effects Pedal:

They could have put just a bit more work into it and it would be a very workable pedal. 1st, it is way too noisey even when off! Next the battery life is the worst I have ever encountered. They also could have given a bit more info regarding the different setting. You are3 pretty much on your own. That being said it is a very cheap way to try different settings and find a cool sound. I guess with an expensive noise gate it may be more usabl. It is a fun toy.

Comments about Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine Effects Pedal:

I like the sound it's like having a pocket leslie. It's not exact, but close enough for govt. work. I am having some trouble getting mine to work correctly with the 9v a.c. adapter. With a battery it works great, but has very short battery life.

Comments about Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine Effects Pedal:

This took a dump after 4 months. To be fair - it worked well for 4 months. You've seen plenty of people telling you to stay away from Behringer products. Now I'm saying the same thing. STAY AWAY FROM BEHRINGER STUFF! I had to give it 1 star, because you couldn't give it zero stars.

Comments about Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine Effects Pedal:

I just got this yesterday and replaced a Dan- Electro Rocky Road pedal with this one. Huge improvement in sound quality and huge reduction in noise. The Rocky Road had two foot switches, one for bypass and one for speed. However, they were so small and so close together you could only really use the pedal in bare feet(which you don't really want to do in a bar). This is the third Behringer pedal I have purchased, this one the Harmonizer and the Booster, and while they are plastic you would have to run over them with a vehicle to smash them. They are a great value for the price.

Comments about Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine Effects Pedal:

The RM600 is a great pedal. Not only does it sound great, but it is also very open for manipulation. It has two settings (fast and slow), it replicates three rotary speakers (145, L16, 122), has three ramps settings (slow, medium, fast), a drive knob, a blend knob (between drum and horn) and a slow knob and a fast knob. Considering all these things, just imagine all the different rotary style effects you can come up with if you just explore and toy with the pedal. It is a great pedal and I think anyone who likes rotary style effects, or anyone who just wants to see what rotary effects are like should consider purchasing this.

Comments about Behringer RM600 Rotary Machine Effects Pedal:

I just got this pedal and played my guitar through it.Think"Jimi Hendrix,Little Wing"!As a matter of fact, this pedal pretty much nail's the Univibe sound!I had a Leslie 147,until recently.I can't tell you that if you run a Hammond sound through this pedal, that it will nail a Leslie.I do have a "Voce,B-3 in a box",that I will try later. But,as for guitar,I like the effect.I found that backing-off the guitar volume was a little more pleasant of a sound.I can see driving this hard with a keyboard, maybe? For the money.this is a very nice little pedal.I own several Berhinger pedal's,and I have had no trouble with them,so far.I don't gig-out with them! The only comment that I have about this pedal is that when you go from slow to fast speed, you have to hold the pedal down for a couple of second's.If you are not careful, you will cut the effect out!Would have been nice to have two pedal's,but for the price, can't expect everything!: )
