It's an 8" bass combo.     You'd need a really well built cabinet and very good speaker for an 8" bass combo to sound good.     This one sounds better than most, tonally.

4 band EQ is nice.     The best feature is the VTC which does color the sound in a positive way.

A seven over-all because the speaker can't keep up with the amp, but otherwise it's great.

It is THE quietest amp I have in my collection, and it's not due to any noise gating inside.

For a low volume practice amp, it's great if you can stand playing bass at very low levels.

I intend on turning it into a head and hooking it up to a real speaker.     I believe it'll kick some real butt this way, believe it or else.

The Little Amp that Couldn't

Boy, you get what you pay for.      Looking for a small amp for my students      to use at their home and the price is certainly right on this amp!      Sadly,      nothing else is.      The output of the amp that came with a Rogue Starter      Kit they originally used got a 1 on my fun meter.      This one gets a 2.           You can't nudge it above about 3 on it's volume control unless you want      to sound like Grand Funk Railroad's fuzz bass.      At that level, you can      still talk above it!      Not what the budding power hungry kid is looking      for these days..........I can't even recommend this as a bedroom amp!      Sorry      Behringer-you usually get the bang for the buck right, but not this      time.

Pretty good with the features, but not with the tone or the output.

Construction seemed fine-that's not my beef.

Just hardly usable-for a 12 year old.

When i first got this amp for xmas it was pretty cool, it was nice n loud but as the months went by i realized the cons about this amp.Yes its tube circuit amp but it does not sound or overdrive like one, peaveys tube circuitry amps do a better job.... this one no, it just sounds like a regular solid state amp, not alot of head room, hard clipping when overdriven and very mid rangy, not enough highs and the lows vibrate the amp which is  annoying. over all its just a practice amp, it can be best used as a jazz players amp maybe lol idk

I recently purchased this amp along with my very first bass. I wanted to get something inexpensive in case I didn't excel at the instrument. This amp was terrible. It looks great but that's about the only positive. It buzzed from day one. No matter what setting or volume. The second day I used it the headphone output completely failed. I'm in the process of returning the amp now. The price is awesome but the amp is worth even less. Don't waste your time or money on this amp.

tried this amp at a local music store when I was trying out a squire jazz bass I was pleased at how well this little amp sounded, the tone was clean and clear, the speaker sounded solid at low volume, this is a nice low priced practice amp.
