An included 2-button footswitch lets you channel and ULTRABASS select on the fly. An FX loop is provided, and a headphone jack lets you keep your practicing to yourself.

  1. I bought this amp about one year into learning bass and have gigged recorded and gone to the moon with it. In that time (about 5 years) I have heard many other bass amps and realized that I got what I paid for with this amp. Yes it is fance but the sound it provides is medoicre. I sounded better when I added a powered pedal to it but whatever. In the first year my speaker blew out and the company replced it but now it seems that they have cut off all support to their customers and apprently the amp cannot be fixed locally because everything is proprietary.
  2. Beyond my petty squabbles the amp did the job but if your a serious musician and not just a beginner then stray from this amp.

I bought this one online without having heard it before, mainly because it was cheap, and I've used a Behringer amp before and wasd blown away by its sound. I recieved this amp this morning and I instantly fell in love. The amp far exceeded my expectations. It has a great range of tones. Even on very low volume this thing kicks. And the ultrabass function is pretty cool to play with. I strongly recommend anyone looking for an incredible amp for a ridiculously low price, buy this amp!

Heavy, but worth it

when I first bought this amp, yeah, I noticed the weight.  the rumors and such are true.  This thing is heavier than any other piece of equipment in my band.  however, I like to consider myself as an experimental bass player.  To be honest, no bass needs that much in regard to effects.  But I absolutely love the way I can get a heavy distortion sound(which I use frequently) on this amp.  the foot switch is very helpful.  Overall, this amp is very good.  I would recommend it to anyone except expecting mothers, because the weight is a lot to handle.  but once you set it down and start to play, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I have used the amp with the aluminum speaker quite a few times. The ultra bass sounds muddy, the compression isn't that great, but overall for the price it is a decent amp, if you take the time to experiment a little you can get a decent sound. If you can afford better, get it, but in that price range you aren't going to find much better.

This amp is just like a quarter pounder off the dollar menu.  Cheap but not terribly satisfying.  The only thing I would add to the other reviews here is that this thing is HEAVY and awkward to carry around.  I've had this thing for almost 5 years now and it's gotten the job done but it does leave a lot to be desired.  The gain channel is almost worthless and the ultrabass channel is a cool idea but I almost never use it.
