I was looking for a decent small amp with a good sound and a little power that would be easy to transport since I'm always lugging guitars and amps around. This amp is perfect. It's lightweight and packs quite a punch for 30 watts. Better yet is the tone and sounds I get out of it. I've owned Peavy's, an Ampegs, a Fender, and a Roland, but, to my ears, my '69 Les Paul Deluxe sounds better coming through this little Beheringer than through any I've played through. The clean channel has full, warm sound and the amp modeling channel offers a nice variety. If you're looking to play heavy metal, you might not get the sounds you need without a pedal, but, without additional effects, I can get all the sounds I need, ranging form a dirty, bluesy, hard-rock, stonesy sound to a clean, reverb rockabilly-country sound to a decent punk rock growl. My Gibson still has the original pickups, and, through some amps, I get a lot of noise, but the clean channel is CLEAN. There's a little noise on the overdrive channel, but, compared to other amps I've played through, it's minimal. I probably won't use most of the effects except when goofing around or, perhaps, recording, but the reverbs offered are excellent and very useful. Having the effects contained in the amp saves having to carry extra pedals and reverb units. I can take it anywhere without multiple trips back to the truck - guitar case in one hand, amp in the other. I wish it had some of the features of the bigger and more expensive units in this line, but for the money, I don't thing you can beat the sound and features. It more than serves the I purpose I bought if for. This is the best smaller amp I've ever used.

I can't recommend this amp for anything but bedroom use. One simple reason: the jacks are made of cheap plastic. My son likes to plug things in, and my amp is no exception. While I'd like to have kept him away from it, he stuck the guitar cable in at an angle and snapped the jack. I've spent a lot of time re-soldering (and re-engineering) the jack because of this. I could have probably fixed it under warranty, but if the amp can't hold up to the something that frankly doesn't meet the abuse I've seen a good amp take on the road, I'd rather work on it myself.Quality of workmanship aside, this is a great value for a beginner or someone who just wnats to put it in the corner and play in their own home. It's not going to be reliable as a working man's (or woman's!) amp. It is perfect for someone who wants 99 preset effects that are fun. My take: spend a bit more, get a bit less in terms of bells and whistles, but get a quality basic amp and work your way up to good effects processors.

a million diff. amps in one!!

I got this amp 1.5 years ago , gets played on every other day. this amp has 99 fucking preset effects on it. 12 reverb,10 delay,14 chorus, 7 flange and etc settings on it.even better is that it has OD channel that you can adjust the speaker sound, type, and gain type. 27+ different Overdrive tones to tweak to. good for jazz, blues, classic rock, thrash metal,nu metal;get any sound you want without buying tons of pedals or amps.i almost feel stupid for buying distortion pedals but i only have a boss heavy metal, digitech death metal, and boss OD/DS for purpose of extra pre amps and that the boss pedal are asymmetrical distortion and the digi is a gain 11.....thats personal reasons to buy pedals but other wise owning this amp will provent you from buying cases, batteries, and etc for pedals.behringer is an all in one amp.for a good price.

As with nearly all Behringer products this is a copy of another amp. This is almost the exactly the same as a TECH 21 trademark 10. I have own the Tech and have played throught the Behringer and it's basically the same except the Behringer has FX's and more ins and outs. This amp rocks but I don't know how Behringer gets away with there almost exact replicas.

Not the greatest, but worth it.

This amp does have a few setbacks; like the very "nasal" sound it gives with its amp and gain settings. The bank of effects is immense, but I would like to see some sort of control mechanism for it (i.e. a foot pedal for controlling wah depth and time). Sounds much better when used as a substitute head for a multi-cab setup, as most of the effects are stereo. Pretty decent control scheme, but EQ is a little small and not as tweakable as I would like. This amp does have a few things going for it, though. The bank of effects that I mentioned before is varied, and can supply you with an arsenal of different tones for different types of music. Speaker modeling is pretty realistic to the actual types it is meant to emulate. All in all, a fun, whimsical practice amp; nothing more.

    cool little amp

    By Yellowbird

Another reviewer complained that this amp was not road-worthy and that it had plastic jacks. Well, my advice would have to be...learn how to put a jack in straight. This amp is what it is. It wasn't meant to be a Twin Reverb or some other tough - as - nails amp. If you want a Harley Davidson Road King and you buy a Honda 250, then you should not complain later when the bike doesn't perform well on a long road trip. See the similarities? Personally, I like the amp. I use a Blues Jr. and a Hot Rod Deluxe to gig. The GMX110 is all it was meant to be, a fun practice amp.

    great practice amp

    By Rob-SmA3P

I've played this one before - it has some great modeling features, so there's a good chance you can make it sound just like the Marshall or Randall amps if you want to. It also has a ton of built-in effects that aren't too bad - could save you some money on pedals. I think I used the chorus and phasing effects when I played it, and they weren't too bad.

    Blown away

I got this amp for christmas and i loved it. it is a little practice amp that does want you want it do. and it does it perfectly. the only complaint i have is that it seems to make bad guitars sound really good and great guitar sound just about the same, it does sound better but only a bit. But this is a great practice amp so if you are looking for just that; this amp is THE BEST that you can get on the market today!!

    V-Tone Kicks!

    By Mattthestratcat

This is absolutely the best value amp on the market for the money, period! It's loud enough to play small gigs with and the effects will save you a small fortune in stompboxes. The amp modeling stages are great too. I can get VERY close to the tone of my Fender Blues Deluxes' clean channel using the clean tweed amp with the U.S. speaker, and your les paul will love the marshall stack setting! The effects presets seem to all sound the same, but actually have some important subtles differences. Most of them are useable. It has all the usual FX combinations such as chorus, phaser, flanger, delay, compressor, all kinds of reverbs and an auto wah (the first i've heard that i actually like) etc etc, as well as a couple of special FX like expander and rotary speaker (not the worst i've heard). My only gripes are the inability to adjust the clean and drive channel levels independently, The lack of user editable parameters on the FX (without the midi footcontroller) and the slight rattle that occurs when cranking the amp.Great little amp and has stopped me from having to lug a largeish tweed amp and a big pedalboard to gigs. With this little rig, now it's just this with a lead and footswitch in the back in one hand, and my guitar in the other. It even has a built in tuner! Now GO GET THIS AMP!!!

    Good not Great

I have had it for 2 years now, after a while it starts cracking a little, it may just be my guitar though. The distortion is decent, and the effects are good, although for some of them you need a cabinate or stack to that is a disadvantage. Overall it is a good buy.
