I have owned this amp for 4 years and have used it both in live settings (playing and recording) and for laying out tracks. Great levels and capability, although the cleans could be more pristine, not suitable for jazz styles unless accompanied with other pedals. The versatility of this amp is my reason for purchasing the unit and it has proven to be a great buy. For a non-tube amp, the quality is great, warm when you need it to be, and produces a deep sound. I cannot comment of the Midi functionality, but I do know from experience, learn how Midi works before you set it up.Overall, great amp, would buy again if I needed to replace it. Thanks and enjoy.

Overall if you want something bigger than a practice amp with alot of effects and for a pretty good price I say go for it Ive had this for around 4 years and am just now starting to want a new amp.
The Effects in this are not to bad it does save cost on pedals for sure. It can get pretty loud but over all after 3 or 4 years of owning it the volume has gotten where if you change it there is static.
Over all it is pretty good Quality other than the volume getting where if you move it up or down it has static to it other than that it has held up good but it has never left my house and has only been moved a few times it mostly stays in the same spot and it used alot.
For the money it is a great buy it gives you alot of effects to mess with and it is a good size amp. Ive had it for 3 or 4 years and am thinking of going to the Roland cube80xl. But for the money this is a solid amp.

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

This amp for me is a hard sell my father in law bought one of these amps about 5 or 6 years ago and he has had no issues with it. About a year after he got his I bought one because I liked his mine however not so good when I turn up the volume there is a crackle to the pot that drives me insane. The amp has been keep clean so I dont know what could have done this I have amps alot older than this one that have no issues.

It does have a load of effects and they are all pretty good this thing can get loud and for my father in law has been great. I guess it is luck of the draw for the price I would say take the chance on it. Im actually looking for a half stack now so maybe this one will be on the market soon lol.

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I use a tube amp on stage and needed a backup. This amp is decent, but after light use over a couple years the power tranformer failed. Finding one costs almost as much a replacing the amp. I use a fer Behringer products because of there price and outside of this and a compressor have had good luck. But this amp rarely got used and maybe once or twice a performance, so its a bit disappointing to see it fail.

good, sturdy amp, with good fx for the cost. one big prob- the speakers are not so good. at high volume way too much break up. ran my 12' ev's from the ext spkr port and wow! what a difference, sounded great.
its almost worth the price to buy the amp as a head and power a ext cabinet. too bad, if it has some celstions it would be a great amp for the money
very good features for the cost
excellent quality
very good value

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I bought this amp in February 2012. It has almost no volume unless you turn up the drive, in which case you get nothing but distortion. I went on line to a Behringer web site to ask how to correct it. They wanted to charge me $30.00 to tell me! I will have to trade it for a different amp, because I don't use distortion.(I play pedal steel guitar) I'm very unhappy with it.
It is built well.
The price is right if it was a good amp.

V-Tone GMX212 2X60

By Trey Knighten

from West Monroe, La

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

in my sole opinion.... this is a great amp! i bout it about 3 years ago because i just wanted to go bigger. mine has the 2 12' jensen speakers and i will say that this amp sounds great and plays great! it gives me the exact tone im looking for. a really thick heavy tone with a decent bass. my palm mutes are epic and my pinch harmonics scream! i did some adjusting to the amp to enable me to turn it up pretty loud. it seems that i get my best tone and the sound im looking for between volume level 7-8. and to add the effects.... my effects preset usually stays at 20 which is a digital delay effect (the echo). also... the clean sound is surprisingly decent.... ive played on some higher dollar amps that didnt provide what i was looking for like this one did. it sounds crazy but id stack this amp against my buddys Mesa Boogie anyday and they mesh like PB&J. Epic Amp!

Don't waste your money

By Zachary Burditt

from Lubbock, TX

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

Don't buy this amp. All the extra effects and modeling tones sound good on paper but the fact is that they aren't. They don't sound good, and who wants to take your hand off the guitar to dial in all the effects. That's what pedals are for. Base sound is the key and honestly I'd take a 1 channel amp with no effects over this if its base sound is better. Behringer gets a bad rap for making terrible products, some of them are, like this amp. Some are good. This amp served its purpose for being loud for the last 6 years but you can get so much more out of other amps for cheaper.
I'll be honest, it has two channels, tons of effects, different modeling settings, and etc. This amp has a lot of features. It even comes with a good solid pedal. The effects leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. I had this amp for almost 6 years and I never once used the effects. The amp modeling sounds fake and flat. Also the volume isn't consistant throughout the types of models.
After years of abuse and gigging I noticed a few things. 1) The cabinet itself is actually well built; it got rained on a little at one point and no considerable damage. It's been loaded into trucks and vans with few battle scars and came out working fine. 2) The knobs feel cheap and are plastic. They're wobbly. Also the tuner is pretty terrible although convienient. It's not a bypass so sound still comes out which is annoying. It also cannot tune my high 'e' string. It's like the tuner panics and displays every note sporadically. Now for the sound. The cleans are terrible, also they are quiet. I cannot get the cleans loud enough to play in a medium sized room. They also sound hollow and flat. Very synthetic. The distortion isn't quite as bad. It's very very loud. Sounds decent but overall lacks umph. When I started playing guitar I always wanted to do pinch harmonics. I tried and tried but nothing happened. Then one day I played on my friends Marshal MG100HDFX and I nailed them everytime. It was the amp. It can't pick up pinch harmonics.
For this price, I would invest in another amp. What kind? Almost any other kind. IMO they all sound better. You can get a Jet City tube amp for this much, or an ibanez toneblaster which sounds about 5x better for a solid state. I paid $50 for mine, that's worth it. Maybe $100 would also be. But no more than that.

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I have been playing for about thirty years, and this is by far the best amp for the money I have ever had. Clean, Loud, and durable. I did replace one of bugera speakers with a Jensen MOD and wow !! It made a hudge difference. A much better mid/low end sound. I am so happy I made the purchase. Its been 5 years now giggin every month without one single problem. Yea it's a little heavy, but I say boooyaa grow some balls and carry the bitch you'll be happy. LOUD LOUD LOUD !!!!! CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN ++++ JUG86
