Bogner Shiva 80W tube guitar amp head features two highly evolved channels, capable of clean tones that shimmer, and tube saturation that is rich and powerful. An included foot-switchable boost functions for both channels, and is variable for channel 2.
Equipped with EL34 tubes and 80 watts, the Bogner Shiva amp head has a nice throaty growl with aggressive English-style midrange to punch through the mix. The sweet/rich sounding Reverb option offers individual level controls for each channel. Don't need reverb on the clean channel but need a bit on the high-gain channel? The reverb dial on the amp head brings out just the right level needed. The Bogner Shiva also has a Tube-buffered series FX-Loop. There is more than enough bass response to rearrange your living room furniture, if needed.

ive played plenty of amps, fuchs, marshall, fender, engl, egnater, etc etc. and this amp totally kills. best amp ive aver owned, along with the v30 loaded 212 oversized cab.i play everything from country and blues to metal. this amp is amazing for country with a tele, and gets pretty dirty with humbuckers and the boost engaged on the gain channel for metal.the bogner custom shop service is the best iv ever recieved. bogner is now my only way to go, and will be ordering many others just because its a fantastic company,finally ive found an amp in going to keep, dont think twice about this one!

I owned one of these from 2003-2008. I always thought is was one of the most amazing amplifiers I had ever heard and obiously owned. That is saying a lot as I have owned many vintage Blackface Fenders, Koch, Mesa, Trainwreck, Dr. Z, Komet, Kingsley, Sligo, Marshall, Heritage, Vox, and others I am sure (only mentioning tube amps). When my last full length CD was recorded (CountItOff Room 237) I recorded all tracks with both a 64' Fender Princeton Reverb and the Bogner Shiva with a mic on a 4x12 Germino cab and a 1x12 mesa 3/4 back all loaded with celestion V30's (the Princeton had a Celestion Vintage 10). The result was a better recorded sound from the Fender and me selling the Bogner. I still use vintage Fenders live (and a Sligo Replica of a Deluxe REverb) but I do miss the live sound of the Bogner. It may not have been the best studio amp but it was by far the best sounding live amp I have ever used and I miss it soooooo much. I highly recomend this amp and will probably buy another one soon. No, I will buy one as soon as I sell my Kingsley.

Does it all. So smooth and so tough when it needs to be! I did not think this would be so versatile, but was I surprised. I only use a pedal or 2, mostly just amp and knob adjustment. It does scream, the wall of sound surpasses my Marshall 100w head.

This has been my dream amp for the past 10 years. I finally bought one last April. I've been gigging for over 24 years. I've had many tube amps. This is BY FAR my favorite. My #2 amp was my Hughes & Kettner Triamp Mk I. That amp had more features (more like the Bogner XTC). But in terms of pure tone, nothing beats the Shiva. I can get beautiful, spankey, chimey cleans just like on my Fender '65 Twin Reverb Reissue, by going with 3-5 on the gain, and 7 on the treble and bass with the bright switch engaged. For the OD channel, I set the gain on 5 (with tone controls to taste) and use some "hair" from my Fulltone OCD (used more as a boost to drive the front-end than a distortion). I get such an awesome "brown sound" ala early VH and other 80's artists with great tone. I run my Shiva into the Bogner oversized 2X12 cab with V30s. It roars! And the boost kicked-in adds a bit more hair, as well as additional volume (adjustable). This amp RULES! Don't wait ten years to get one like I did -- if you want great, lively cleans AND awesome overdrive in an amp. VERY few amps compare...
