This is my second Boss Peadalboard. I bought my first one 5 years ago and in that time I replaced the power adapter and closed it with bungie cords as the latches broke off. My new one has a sturdier and much improved power supply by the looks of it. However the box has always done its job and is convenient and reliable. I only really bought a second one because I sent back the Behringer Board which was unsatisfactory. My one gripe on the Boss is that I wish they made them larger. There is only one space where the frame can be removed for a "Pedal" (my Ernie Ball VP jr volume), the rest of the space is for stompboxes. I would like to see a larger board with room for my cry baby and perhaps my small digi tech processor as well. As for now I still have those two to the side on the floor. BUT, all in all this is a fine product that keeps on and I recommend it heartily...

For the most part this is a quality product. I'm using it for the following setup: 2 Boss stomp boxes, an Ibanez stomp box, a Danelectro stomp box, a Boss TU Tuner, and a Dunlap Crybaby. That's 6 devices - The board can power 7.In the place where the pedals sit there is a foam bottom with removable square templates. The 3 that come in the case have cutouts for Boss brand foot pedals. You also get one blank square for cutting out your own shapes. It would have been nice to get a couple extra blanks in case you have more non-Boss pedals or in case you make a mistake or change your setup. The Boss pedals fit nicely in the pre-cut foam holders. The Ibanez and Danelectro pedals of course do not fit - I do have the option of cutting the foam to make them fit but I am letting them sit on top of the foam. They aren't as snug there but it works fine. In order to get the Crybaby to fit you have to remove a metal bar - just unscrews out of place and then you have to cut some foam - otherwise the case won't close. Not difficult and it works rather nicely. The only problem is that you do not have an option of placement. You can only put it in one place, and this is all the way to the right. This is because the removable bar is over there on the right. This could be a problem for some people who like having the Wah at the end of their effects chain instead of the beginning. What Boss should have done is made it so you could choose to put the Wah at the left or right by making the bigger bar in the case modular so you can move it. Oh well. Also - you can only have one pedal the size of the Crybaby. There is only one small removable bar (and one big bar that takes up the rest of the space). What would have been nice, is if Boss made this case a little more friendly to bigger pedals like the Crybaby. I know a lot of people have a couple of big pedals - usually a Wah pedal and a volume pedal. I don't have a volume pedal right now but if I did it would have to be outside of the case. The plastic construction of the case seems a little flimsy - especially around the hinge that the removable cover connects to and the clasps that shut the case. I've only had my case a couple days now and its still fine but I worry that it will break in one of those vital spots.I do like this box for the most part and if you have mostly Boss pedals and not a lot of weird shaped ones like the crybaby this could be a convienent way for you to use pedals.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

This pedal board is very convenient and has made my set-up quicker and easier. I wish the locking sliders were metal instead of plastic and I may be doing something wrong, but it seems that it should close easier. Comes with plenty of patch cables and a multi power supply cable.

      poor customer service

      By Slappy

      from New York

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

Pretty good board except for the cheap/poorly designed latches. Mine was holding out pretty good (I don't abuse my equipment) until my fat drummer stepped on it one day and broke both latches. I calles Boss customer support to buy more but they wanted $4.60 EACH for the things!!! Plus $6.00 to ship!!! Needless to say I was very disappointed. The latches are very small and should NOT cost that much to manufacture or to ship. A free replacement would be fair considering how cheaply made they are. I would have paid for them if the price was fair but no way was i going to pay over fifteen dollars for two crappy little pieces of plastic that would probably just break again anyway. Thanks a lot BOSS. I will likely not be purchasing another of your products. One thing I LIKE about the board is the foam in the lid. It holds all the pedals in place so you don't have to put velcro on the bottom of them. If it weren't for the cheap latches and the poor service concerning them I would have given this board all five stars.

      Good for Part Timers

      By B.E.N.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I can't recommend this product for any fulltime traveling musician. I have owned this pedal board for a little under a year now the shell is sturdy enough but I have already broken a latch on it so the case doesn't stay closed all the way and I am in constent fear of the other one breaking. The electronics are great, especially for the price, and I have never had a problem with them but the space is limited due in part to the fact that this board is geared for people who use only Boss stlye effects, which I do not. This product is fine for weekend warriors but if are a serious touring musician drop the extra cash on something better.

      skeptical at first but great!

      By Merrill

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I had read about the cheapness of the plastic, the "thinness" of the power cord, and other things about this pedalboard. But, I've had it for 2 giggin' years; have taken average care of it and it is an awesome pedalboard. Make a point to keep the box and use it during transport; it will help. My biggest reservation was that using the In/out jacks on the pedal would change the sound. Nope. At least i don't notice it. When I first got it, I accidently cutout the wrong configuration in the foam for my pedals. I had it backwards, but I super glued the foam back in and started over. True: if you change your pedals frequently, your satisfaction may be limited. I use mostly Boss pedals and similar sized variations with a Crybaby at the beginning. Once you get used to it, you don't even have to look down to switch on your effects because your foot "feels" where they are. Quality is 3.5 because of the cheap plastic hinges. If one broke, I would be mad. Maybe I got lucky from the production line that day.

small board for a big price

      By bDTt1_0km

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

ok i got this pedal board about 3 and a half years ago its a really good board but its very small and has some cheap designs on the lid however, the power supp;y is built in and is AMAZING.i have 11 pedals and only 6 fit on it which disappoints me because i want all my pedals on it and i have to switch up pedals to get a sound i want. i need some thing like that is but WAYYY bigger. so i am now currently looking for a bigger and better board. my advice to anyone who wants or gets this board would be to get it if you just started on playing guitar or if you just want some thing small.

      Ok at best.

      By Ian Daemon Black

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I bought one of these years ago because I wanted a powered pedal board to transport all my stomp boxes. It seemed pretty good at first, but I found that the lid wouldn't close when the pedals were in it. I read the instructions that said I should cut out the foam around the shape of the pedals to keep them in place. I did and they fit. The problem is that if I want to change my configuration, I can't because the foam is cut to the size and shape of the pedals I first put in. Also, one of the plastic latches broke and now it won't stay closed. I got a Black Kross case and a one spot, it holds and powers 9 pedals and a wireless receiver. It has secure latches too. The Boss BCB-60 only allowed me to have 5 pedals. It's sitting in my closet, unused. I can't even re-sell it because of the cut out foam pad and broken latch.

      Great piece for anyone

      By nate-TID0M

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

This pedal board really is wonderful. Everything is self contained and easy to use. The stereo output is really a neat feature along with the power supply and cable hiding. One thing I found is that if you simply remove the foam inserts that only hold boss pedals and line the bottom with Velcro you can have any pedal anywhere you want it. The only thing that could be improved are the latches. They are flimsy but if you take care of the board it will be the most reliable thing you own.

I thought it was worth it

      By hells.saints

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I think it is sooooo convenient to have all my pedals in an easy to close and transport case. I put my flanger, distortion, noise supressor, drive, pitch shifter and wah in there (all boss). Its pretty durable, except for the plastic itself. When I first got the board, i had a gig coming up. So, i loaded up the board, but two padlocks on it, and got in the car. when i got to the gig i realized i left the keys to the padlocks at home. i HAD to use the board for the show, so i broke the plastic rings the padlocks go through to hold the board shut with a screwdriver. I got to play the show with the pedals, but it proved the plastic could be stronger. Some people have complained about the latches. I hear ya, but they haven't failed me yet.one cool feature is that it comes with a power daisy chain, effect pedal cables, and a removable panel to fit a wah pedal. its also very cool that you can stash the cables away from sight and sabotage.Seeing that it hasn't failed me for over 3 years, and that it's a good solution to protect and transport my pedals, i would say it was a good buy.
