It gives me a pure guitar sound and makes the guitar sound better than ever before
I bought a delay for my guitar 27 years ago, it was a Boss DM-3, it went out on me a couple of months ago and could not be fixed. I tried 3 different ones from Musicians Friend, I tried the DD-3 twice and it came close to being what I was looking for, after working with it a while I started getting the sound I was looking for, It sounded so good I have to set my guitar and amp every day and play it, I am 78 years old and don't play the clubs anymore but this delay gives me a better sound than the DM-3 I had for 27 years,
It is well made and will last from now on.
It is well worth the money I paid

I've owned 2 of these units in as many months. The first one performed flawlessly for approx. 1 week when the level knob decided to quit working properly(i.e. not at all). I returned it and was promtly sent a replacement. The second unit performed horribly right out of the box with all sorts of extraneous noises, distortion etc. I tried guitar-->DD-3-->amp, and I also used the effects loop on the amp. This unit was obviously defective as well. I returned it for a refund and am now finished with the BossDD-3. I've purchased the tc electronics Nova Delay but haven't recieved it yet, probably tomorrow. I'll review it when I get it.

Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
My DD-3 has had a permanent place on my pedal board since I first bought it ten years ago. It has stood up and performed flawlessly from the get go. Versatile and sounds great. You'll also find that it is the delay pedal of choice for many touring pros. Joe Bonamassa and John 5 are just a couple that come to mind. If you're looking for a quality delay pedal, I suggest you try the Boss DD-3.

Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
Do yourself a favor and just buy the DD-20... or any other delay pedal with display screen and a tap tempo. Call me lazy, but constantly turning the knobs to find your sound gets annoying and irritating, especially if you're a first time delay user.

Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
I'm still learning all of the sounds I can get out of this DD-3. It is extremely versatile. But, what I have able to learn so far invokes beautiful tones and effects. I had been using a Chorus, but the DD-3 goes way beyond in doubling my guitar. Be prepared to spend some time tweeking it to sound just right, and to explore its many uses.

Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
I'm using this pedal in a chain of about 5 boss pedals total for my Bass Rig. I use a Jeckyl/Hyde Distortion and a Bass Odrive as well. The tone I get from this thing is great for the aspect that it doens't change your sound. AT ALL. I can also easily jump from a long, feedback delay to a quick "extra edge" mini delay for thickening up my distiortions and it works in a matter of a dial turn. Keep up the Good Work Boss and thank you Muisicians Friend for the Timely Delivery.
Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
Stopped working shortly after the expiration of the warranty
Worked as expected
Lasted one year plus...Boss you can do better now I am leary of buying any more of your pedals.
Was a good value until it stopped working
Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
If a great delay pedal is what you need --- get this one! You will never regret the extra money spent. You can pick up an AC adapter for $7.00 from another source so you don't feel the pinch of buying the $30 BOSS adapter.
I got the BOSS DD-3 Delay Pedal for exclusive use while playing Blues Harmonica. I had previously tried a multi effects pedal from another manufacturer that had lots and lots of effects that could be programmed. What I discovered, is that almost all of the effects available are totally useless for amplified harmonica use. Also, I found that even though the multi effects unit had a lot of options --- it did not do any of them very well.
Tha BOSS DD-3 does only one thing -- it's a Delay Pedal -- but it does this function very, very well! That was the only effect I really wanted, so I exchanged the multi effects unit for the DD-3. I would much rather have a pedal that done only one thing -- but does that one thing well -- than to have a choice of dozens of effects which are only done -- sort of OK --.
There are less expensive delay pedals out there (yes, I also have one of those gathering dust), but this is definitly a case of "You get what you pay for".
I am rating the DD-3 as a 9 out of 10 because the unit DOES NOT come with an AC adapter. A 9 volt battery does not last all that long, and is a bit of a hassle to change (especially if you're playing somewhere). What you want is a nice fresh battery, and then use an AC adapter. That way you're covered no matter what!
I would suggest to BOSS that they include the AC adapter. This will make the unit a 10 out of 10 and keep customers from getting irritated with having to spend more money on an AC adapter.
Built like a tank -- metal -- not plastic.
A little pricey, considering that it does not include the AC adapter.

I've used the DD3 for years and it never lets me down. I run mine @ about 500ms and it just fills out my sound. I love it!
It has all the features I need and more.
It's a Boss.Very hard to break!
Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
This delay is well worth the money, I am glad I had the chance to give it a try.
I am 78 years old and bought a Boss DM-3 in 1984 and would never use anything else, it played out on me a month and a half ago and could not be fixed, I went on line at Musicians Friend looking for a new digitaL pedal, I tried three different ones, I tried the dm-3 twice because it came close to giving me a true guitar sound, I got it yesterday and my looking is over, it gives me a pure guitar sound, I can't play it enough, I actually like it better than the dm-3.
Comments about Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal:
