Quickly became a key component in my rig
I really wanna give this a ten, but even I found something that could be changed with this. Make a latching option on the feedback circuit and this pedal is a 10+.

I really wanna give this a ten, but even I found something that could be changed with this. Make a latching option on the feedback circuit and this pedal is a 10+.
The Mid boost alone is a nice pedal, but the feedback circuit makes it a 10+. What takes it back down a few notches is the fact that you have to hold your foot on the pedal to get that effect. I have heard that some don't like that if you want to use the feedback but dont need the boost before or after, you have to turn the boost on and hold your foot on the pedal then turn the boost back off after letting off to stop the feedback circuit (confused yet? I am) I could see that getting in the way live if I didn't constantly use the boost. That one really doesn't bother me since I am what you would call a mids junkie and seldomly turn that side off. Overall, maybe an extra jack for a latching footswitch , or a mode where you can have both effects constantly without having to stand on top of that box for long periods of time, would be good additions.
Pretty sure someone has already contemplated throwing one of these at their drummer without worrying about breaking it. They are that sturdy.
More expensive then most Boss pedals with similar concepts (minus the feedbacker) but this is a world where you get what you pay for and I think the price is accurate for what you get.

Decent pedal, but I need some help.
So far I actually really like this pedal. Its not perfect, but it's decent. But I have a problem that I will get to later. First the Pros and Cons.

So far I actually really like this pedal. Its not perfect, but it's decent. But I have a problem that I will get to later. First the Pros and Cons.
Pros:
Good Boosting
Feedback Sounds Natural
Boss Quality
Cons:
Expensive for what your getting.
Tone knob is REALLY sensitive.
The boost is clean until about 3 o'clock on the boost level.
The mid boost on character adds some gain.
Gets noisy if tone knob is turned or boost knob goes past 1/2 way.
The metal seems different than the other boss pedals...the metal is not as thick and has odd texture. (but I'm not worried about it breaking)
So in short this pedal does what it says, however, putting a feedbacker with a booster is not such a great idea. The problem is where I put this effect into my signal chain. If I put it before my distortion, the feedback part sounds excellent, but the booster hardly boosts any volume. If I put it after the distortion, it boosts the volume very well, but the feedback part sounds incredibly muffled and muddy. Any suggestions on what I could do? Your help is truly appreciated. If I could get this problem fixed I would change the rating to 5 stars because it is a great pedal I just want it to sound good in both ways. Thanks! (Hope I helped you as well) :)

Comments about Boss FB-2 Feedbacker and Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:
this Pedal is great for backing up overdrive or fuzz. i put this thing behind my russian big muf* and it makes the muf* GROWL!!! it fills in empty space like a charm and makes pedals saound way fuller. the feedback is weird at first but if you give the time and effort you can learn how to harness it. and put in front of all other pedals it does offer a definite volume boost. it will require some fiddleing to get used to but an awesome pedal

I had a similar effect in a ME-33 years ago but it was kind of fake sounding. This one is way better. It has a more natural sound. Once you get used to how the feedbacker changes the sound you can adjust your playing and the cut off time to make it sound even better. For the less experienced it may take awhile but if you are a seasoned musician this will not take long at all. The mid boost punches through the mix and for us guys who want just a clean boost, it has that opinion as well. It's never ending controlled feedback without blowing out your ear drums.

Comments about Boss FB-2 Feedbacker and Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:
i ordered this pedal to give my mids a kick, but the pedal is way too bright and affects your overall tone in a bad way. you immediately lose all your amp's lows and it gets a little too grungy in the mid level boost. it can't even function right for a simple boost for the signal. when you turn the tone down to compensate the brightness, it becomes terribly muddy. the feedback squeal is completely unnatural and does not sound good at all. this pedal is terrible considering boss' reputation for making really great pedals. i sent it back after two days. just not for me.
the features are very simple and easy to understand.
the case for the fb-2 is metal, but its unlike what i'm used to by other boss metals. it seems like a cheaper pot metal.
being that the pedal is not that great, the value is not that good.
Comments about Boss FB-2 Feedbacker and Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:
This is a really cool pedal that performs exactly the way I expected. This can really open up your songs with some cool new sounds. The boost is really good and the feedback pretty awesome.
Boss is always a 10 for me on Quality. No cheap stuff here.
Haven't found another pedal that will do this, so the value is great.

Comments about Boss FB-2 Feedbacker and Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:
Just don't bother with it, the description and demo's of this are very misleading. This might be the first pedal I have hated upon purchase and I sent it back immediately. I am a gigging musician with over 40 years experience, trust me, this pedal is not for you.
The feedback only works in boost mode, this might be the worst pedal Boss has ever made. It dosen't like large high gain amp's or guitars with Whammy bars. Boost mode is basically a soft overdrive and it does bring out the harmonics. The feedback has to be hit very precisely (not good for live gigs). I tried it through my high gain amp and the noises from it were not only artificial, but awful sounding, even worse when you use the whammy bar on the feedbacker. I tried it and sent it back.
Very poor pedal, might be ok for a bedroom guitarist who plays with a 5 watt amp with clear to mild gain is all, it's just a cheap toy and NOT for a serious musician. It disturb's me that Boss would stop so low to even consider releasing such a thing. If you want feedback, turn your guitar toward the amp and if you want boost, use another amp channel or just a booster pedal if required (old school tricks).
Too high priced for such a gimmic! (a child's toy is what this is).
Comments about Boss FB-2 Feedbacker and Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:
Just doesn't live up the the hype. Shoulda known when the hype video emphasized the boost and only went to feedback a few times.
Feedback only works in boost mode. Low volume or low distortion feedback either does not work or only creates a sustain. When it is cranked with high distort, and the boost is on all the time, the feedback is annoyingly the same no matter where you start on the fretboard. Sent it back. Nice idea, missed the mark. All boost does is add volume and a tad bit of overdrive, along with treble. Forget this pedal.
Standard Boss quality...
Comments about Boss FB-2 Feedbacker and Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:
Great tone, great features, great idea overall ... the only complaint is the after-feedback, boost stays on... but i can deal with it, as i use less of a tone shaping and more of a drive
Everything is great, exept the fact that after using feedback feature the boost stays ON, is a bit annoying ... i mean you can deal with it, if you are using your boost on a low setting, so the pedal doesnt change much tone, but just adds extra drive ... but otherwise you really have to think through a process of playing a song, and stepping on the pedal the right amount of times, which is as i said just annoying ... 8/10 here
had no problems
for the price its really worth a shot ...
Comments about Boss FB-2 Feedbacker and Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:
Purchased hoping could deliver on the promise of driving controlled feedback at low volumes. While it does push signal into feedback, it was hard to control. And because the boost stays on after you use the press-and-hold for feedback, you have to step again to turn the boost processing off - or end up with different tone. Good try but misses the mark. Returned the unit.
