Comments about Bugera 1990 Infinium 120W British Bite Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Appeared built well - expected tones similar to 80's -90's rock metal. Very bass heavy limited midrange. With pedals its good but who wants pedals- the amp should be the tone generator. Loud as heck - no master volume so anything over "3" is LOUD. Claims to be high gain- more crunch than gain . I had to return it.

Comments about Bugera 1990 Infinium 120W British Bite Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Good amp , good sound, and great price ! I thought this was too good to be true when I bough it for the tone and price. Boy was I right ! It sounded great could do jazz stuff and some metal stuff. BUT A BROKEN AMP IS A USLESS AMP. I turned it up to 7 on the master volume one day and it just cut out ! Once i got it back it there was an insane amount of noise on the clean channel that was never there ! I ignored the reviews of the poor reliability. I returned the amp and got an orange cr120 instead ! MUCH BETTER ! The other thing is the burgera amps don't have deprecate volume and eq pots ... This means if one of the knobs breaks you're done ! And no amp tech would fix one of these ! Save your money ! Save your time ! Don't buy any Bugera products ! Every one I know who has owned one , theirs have broke ... Please save yourself the trouble .

Comments about Bugera 1990 Infinium 120W British Bite Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I was looking for an economical amp head that could produce 120 watts into 4 ohms. After scouring the choices at MF, I spotted this Bugera at a very reasonable price. It has a lot of features that cemented the decision for me. It's able to handle many demands for many musical situations, so it's not limited to just being an amp head. I've got it powering two Warehouse speakers ( Reaper/ Retro 30), and the rig sounds great to me. Take a look around and notice that this amp is a bargain in this field. Those four 5881's will surely announce your presence to your audience.

Comments about Bugera 1990 Infinium 120W British Bite Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I am just an amateur home musician but am taking a new interest in improving my playing skills and am practicing several hours a day. I had heard that better gear helps you play better, so I wanted to test this out, and found it to be true. Spent a bundle on new guitar gear, but Musicians Friend Platinum card no-interest financing made it very affordable. This is the first time I have spent this much on an amp but it was worth it. Also got the matching 2x12 speaker cabinet. Am playing an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Florentine Hollowbody through it. I have about 20 effects pedals and used to feel that I needed them to get the sounds I wanted, but with this new gear I find the sound pleasing even without the pedals. Real happy with my purchases.
As is typical for Behringer products, this amp has lots of nice features and good sound at a rock-bottom price. I think it is the least expensive all-tube amp with decent power around. Perhaps Behringer's quality control is not the best, but I have had no issues with this amp. Once two power-tube warning LEDs came on, which is supposed to indicate major tube problems, but I ignored them and the problem went away never to return. Based on other reviewers comments, I figured I would have to replace all the Bugera tubes immediately just to get decent sound. This had also been my experience with a Behringer pedal containing a 12AX7 tube---the stock Bugera tube sounded horrible, and the sound improved vastly when I replaced it with an RCA tube. So I ordered a complete set of replacement Russian military-spec tubes at a very good price. I'm looking forward to installing them someday to see if the sound improves, but I'm really in no rush cause the stock sound is respectable. About 25 years ago I had a Peavey all-tube amp with really humongous power tubes, and I must admit it sounded better than the Bugera, but at this price I'm not complaining.
