Features:

So. I purchased this cabinet at my local music shop. At the time I was between jobs and really looking for a value. I read up on this cabinet, saw a few okay reviews. Most of my intel had come from the Bugera site itself. This cabinet was made out to be a FANTASTIC value. Tons of people said it was great, a few said it was moderate, and even fewer expressed absolute disgust. Time to divulge my very own input.

Quality:

The speakers loaded into this cabinet are almost as bad as those found in a first act amplifer. They sound thin and weak, kind of like a paper bag. Gain causes these things to get really muddy, and you can barely tell what is even being played in serious dropped tunings. They give the impression that they are begging for you to just end it. You probably should. Put them out of their misery and replace them with something better. Eminence legends would be nice.

The actual cabinet construction itself is decent. I have dropped mine out of the back of our trailer once, and it is still structurally sound. The built in wheels are kind of inconvenient. Turning corners makes this thing want to tip BAD. May as well have just thrown on casters. Seriously.

Value:

I guess if you REALLY need a cabinet like I did, this will work. Just hope the sound guy at the gig is bad. You can blame your terrible tone on him. But don't really do that. This is an "in a pinch" cabinet. Maybe okay for a kid wanting something flashy to show his friends. Will not hold up on tour or on a serious show schedule. Save your money. Borrow someones cabinet, do anything but buy this with the intent of it being your primary rig.

Overall:

Go somewhere else for a cabint.

Update to cabinet review

Features:

OK folks, I gave this cabinet a poor rating just when I got this cabinet because the speakers sounded very thin and tinny. Well, I'll let you know right now " you have to break these things in" After several weeks of playing at moderate volumes the cones have broken in. The sound has now changed from  tinny and thin to a more solid bass and mid tone. I take it Bugera does not burn in these speakers before they install them. The only thing I would tell Bugera is to burn them in (meaning let the paper cone flex for several hours before installing) before installing them. It made a hugh diffence after break in. They actually now have as much bass and mid tones as my fender twin' s Jensen speakers. Anyone buying these need to realize they need to break in before you'll get the real sound.

Just save the money and buy something a little more high end

I know the price is cheap but, the old saying goes you get what you pay for, and you are getting $250 worth.

Value:

There is probably $100 worth of raw materials and really thats all its worth

Overall:

I figured for the $250 some dollars I wasn't going to get much but this is just awful. The speakers have absolutely no bass response, even with the bass all the way up. So I started investigating. I had also bought a bugera 333xl ampand hopingit wasn't the amp, I plugged it into my fender twin reverb speakers (jensens) and holy crap it came alve. So with that said I fugured the speakers are crap. Yep after getting the back off (which the plastic jack plate was broken in one corner) there were these beautiful (sarc) 4 ohm 50 watt speakers. They even look cheap (the magnets were3/4 the size of the jensens and even the baskets looked like cheap stamped sheet metal). held in with 4 screws and not bolts (really could the spare the hardware). The cabinet is made out of MDF (particla board) which is ok. I have used MDF to build stereo speaker cabinets (using 18" JBLs) and they have held up pretty good (although they were not traveling from gig to gig). Using this for gigging, in and out of vans and trucks,I wouldn't garrantee that the MDFwould stand up over the wood.

So  now I'm in rebuild mode. If you ever need to replace the jack plate good luck, the cut out is not the typical standar size, off by .5 inches wide.So with that said the jack plate is going, the speakers are being replaced with either celestions V30 or eminence. The only thing nice I have to say it looks good from the front, just don't turn it on.

The other guitarist in my band has been using this cab while he's trying to save up for the custom made cab that he wants. I've ran a Peavey 6505+ and a Carvin V3 through this amp and it really isn't as great as everyone has said. While I do believe it is an excellent option for an entry level guitarist, this is definitely not an option for someone who is looking to legitimately gig. This cab has the worst mids I've ever heard in a cab, they're very dominant and do not respond well to mid adjustments on the heads. The high end is very minimal unless you blast the treble and presence which would give you a crap tone anyways. That said, if you're looking for a very deep muddy bluesy tone, this would be a great cab for you. Clean tones aren't too bad either, but if you play metal, forget about it. The build quality is pretty decent, we've beaten the heck out of this thing and its held up quite well. Overall, for the price, I'd say it's pretty good, I like the Jet City 4x12 much much better than this cab and it's only slightly more expensive.

I got one of these for christmas this year, and i was really quite surprised at how great it sounded. I run a Kustom 30 watt amp through this cab and it sounds great!! It can get just enough low end and also great highs. I wish that this cab came with wheels on the bottom instead of the side (reason for 4 on features) but overall this is definitely a great starter cab. Buy it NOW!!
