First of all, I have to say that this little sucker is very durable. I play in a small jazz band, and this little amp gets hauled back and forth to practice, gets banged around, and has even taken a fall off the back of a pickup truck, but still keeps on churning out sound. Volume could be a stronger and it only sounds alright at max volume, but for me it does just the trick. It's durable, dependable, light and portable.

It's ok for starting out (just learning and such). It's extremely quiet when you are playing with oter people, which is when you really need to hear yourself, (or if your just trying to play over the radio in the next room). Another annoying thing is how distorted it gets when turned all the way up. However, it is a very tough amp which is good if you haul it aroud alot. In short, it gets the job done adequately, but doesn't 'excel'.

Where is the volume?

An acoustic bass with no amp will sound louder than this thing. Distortion is mediocre. You get what you pay for.

Well... it was my first amp and overall it sounds pretty good for a 10 watt, but when you turn it up to play with your friends and such the sound is pretty horrible.

This is garbage.

I purchased this for a small practice amp at home. I wish I had forked over the extra $$$ for something a little nicer. The speaker can not handle the low B on my 5 string, the built in EQ has a constant hum regardless of amp volume or bass volume, and though the highs are brite the lows sound as though they are being played through a tin can. My advice is to spend a little more money on a nicer practice amp.

Perfect for your room

this is what you get when you play at all hours in your room. It is loud enough that you feel good about it, but you won't wake anyone up at 12 at night. I like it a lot, and i have had the volume up all the way since i got it about 7 months ago. The speaker is still as good as new. Honestly, i can't think of a better practice amp. Crate nailed it.

only super cheap

By NeilK

Only beginners or those who are on a very tight budget need to consider it. It's only 10 watts which is too quiet for most things, but it is a good cheap amp for the casual beginner.

I got this thing on sale, and it works great as a practice amp. I acually play accousitic guitar on it and it works great for that too, dont have the most expirience playing cause im kinda new to guitar n such and i wanted to go electric so i got a soundhole pickup and this thing and it suits my needs. Overall not a bad amp.

Bass Amp

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This amp holds pretty well. I've had it for a couple years now, use it everywhere, practice, to live, and it's good. The tone is good, the sound is good, so overall, this amp is good. Obviously it's not the loudest, as some people want, but it's loud enough to fill a room completely with bass.

sounds great.

I got this amp about a month ago. It is pretty great for a 10 watt amp. It is a great practice amp. But not something you can play live with. So if you need a something to practice with, get it, but if you're gigging a lot and need an amp that'll blow people's faces off, start saving up.
