I just bought one of these over a week ago after I acquired a vintage, 1988 Fender Studio 85 amp a few weeks ago. I was using a Digitech RP-50 for effects, but I had to trade that as part of the deal in order to get this amp so, I needed something for effects. I used to have one of these over 6 years ago when I was using a 1997 Crate GX-65 and it worked wonders with that amp , so when this came in, I was not let down at all. It now makes my amp sound more fuller and can hang with it's more expensive counterparts IMO.

I was initially satisfied with the FAB Chorus pedal. It is inexpensive enough to justify for occasional use. I would hook it up for one lead section of a tune that our band infrequently plays. I estimate that I got about 5 hopurs total use out of it before it failed. The symptom is that the 9V battery now overheats immediately and is burnt out within 10 minutes.

Comments about Danelectro FAB Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I was surprised at the sound quality and controls for such an inexpensive chorus pedal. Sounds very good with both acoustic and electric. Considering it is plastic, it is also more sturdy than I was expecting. It only had a problem with noise when power-chained to one of my DigiTech digital pedals. When I left the chorus pedal in my chain and isolated the DigiTech on its own power, the problem went away.

Comments about Danelectro FAB Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I love Chorus, I own several pedals and bought this as a kick around for the house. I have to confess its far better than its price would lead you to believe. I have changed my pedal chain since I bought this and it wound up in the corner, until I had a awesome idea.. I pulled it apart and built it into my last guitar I built. it still has a battery problem, but I built a longer power cord to supply juice to it. a small on off switch into the pick-guard it went now I have a decent chorus no matter were I am on stage. buy it.. plug live juice in it and enjoy it.

Comments about Danelectro FAB Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I plugged it in, clicked the pedal on and it has a great chorus sound. I don't ever plan to move the knobs as it sounds fine they way the knobs were set when it arrived. Kind of like I have never watched an episode of American Idol, (Nat'l Karaoke?) Really? I just don't ever plan to watch the show, nor do I ever want to change the settings on the pedal. Great pedal. On a side note, I am somewhat near the MF distribution center. I ordered this pedal on a Thursday and it arrived the next day. And, it shipped for free. Next day delivery for free on an effect pedal. You just can't beat MF's great service. Thanks!

Comments about Danelectro FAB Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought two of these units to use at a Christmas concert, one for acoustic and one for electric guitar. Both functioned perfectly, filling out my acoustic sound nicely. I used the one for the electric with occasional overdrive. It sounded nice, needing only to be mixed a little less. These are great little chorus pedals, but make sure your batteries are fresh if you don't use a plug-in power supply. With a less than fresh battery it will eat through what's left of the charge quickly, and your signal will cut out. That was my only complaint. With all pedals, though, you should use fresh batteries with any performance.

Comments about Danelectro FAB Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought the Fab Chorus pedal as my first pedal (aside from a volume and tuning pedal) to go along with my bass. It works well with my gear other than it is really muddy in the lower range (B string specifically). Otherwise, it adds more depth when it is activated. I just wish that it came with a power supply as well, instead of just the 9v battery option.

Comments about Danelectro FAB Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

got 1 for 10 bks at a pawn shop. was comparing it to the rogue pedal that i got with a pedal bag. Rogue changed the tone to something unusable. The fab pedal isn't Donn Hocking's Roland Stereo chorus amp, BUT!!!! it is not bad for the price! At least your clean and processed tones are from the same planet. I have large digitech processors when i want to get serious. But for 15 you get something you wont be embarrassed about if someone hears it!

I have a boss chorus that sounds ok but it's old so i ordered the danelectro fab chorus because it's cheap and sounded good on youtube. musician's friend has great service so it arrived pretty quickly. but when i plugged it in, the sound did not impress me and it made a fairly loud hum. i returned it and went back to the boss chorus and so i'll order a different chorus pedal the next time. i had to pay shipping for the return so be careful when you order stuff.
