Features:

The effects and sounds are great

Quality:

The casing is plastic, but I always treat my gear well, and I have the 2 year warranty plan, so I am not too concerned.

Value:

The sounds and a very good drum machine make it a great value for any level player of any budget. One gets rather tired of hearing that more expensive gear is always better.

Overall:

As I said, I love the Deltalab line of products. Just because a pedal, amp, guitar or any other piece of equipment is more expensive, does not mean it is better. I tried the BOSS line and was rather disappointed. I want to say that it always comes down to PERSONAL PREFERENCE. The Blues tones I get out of this multi-effect are quite smooth. The metal distortion has an awesome mix of gain and clarity. The modulation effects are what I want as well. If I had to give a recommendation, I would recommend to try everything you can get your hands on in order to find the sounds that fit you.

Not a good buy

This product lacks ease of use and overall quality. It takes much to long to change from a heavy distortion to a clean chorus. If you are intending to play a gig with this, it would be a huge mistake. I sent mine back after a couple days because I couldn't stand the sound of it.     I then just bought individual pedals for the things I needed, and I have fallen in love with each one.     It is a much more expensive route to take but it is worth it in the long run.     It is much easier to look at the individual pedals indicator lights to see what's on.     On the delta labs little screen, I have no idea what effects I'm running.     Buy individual pedals!

I own a Delta Lab DGFX1 multi-effects pedal. I've used it to gig several times, with show-stopping difficulty, to record demos with and practice.      I like the unit, but it has problems which a purchaser should know about firsthand. It's noisy when selecting overdrive or distortion, and the noise gate cuts out too much treble and midrange for my taste when used on keyboards, leaving a dull, muddy sound that has to be eq'ed brighter. the compressor works, but it's a single, harsh overkill setting with horrible tone for any application. the unit won't run on batteries- BIG fail!- and it not only lacks a stereo or dual input, but it only outputs in stereo- another big problem! I generally like the reverbs and delays, as well as the chorus and phase shiter, while i only like one of the wah sounds. Its memory falters with bad power, and it's inconvenient to have to reset every parameter and mode when this happens. I use decent line conditioning, and this problem nearly cost my band a steady engagement when my settings glitched into horrible-freak effects.      If Delta Labs corrects these problems with a new, deluxe model, I'd consider buying one after checking out the pricey competition. if you can live with its faults, great. you'll probably want to save up and buy a better, pricier pedal!

I have played alot of preamp effects pedals and proccessors and I have to say this thing is good for the price. It took me a little while to dial in a tone that I liked but once I did I love it. One thing I found like on most of these types of units is the noise gate is not really that good but I was able to fix that With my Boss noise gate pedal. Construction is plastic but seems well built. The switches to switch channels are very good and seem built to last a good while. I have had mine now for a good 4 months and have had no issues. If your in a bind cash wise and need something thats not going to break your wallet then I would highly suggest this unit. Im actually thinking of getting another one for back up. I play extreme Brutal Death Metal and this unit has plenty of gain to it. You can really shape your sound with this unit and get a very good distortion tone from it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Remember, I have been playing for over 30 years and I am very picky about my distortion and im very impressed by this unit. I just use this pedal going into the clean channel of my head and into my 4x12 cab with my noise gate and thats it. Very Happy with this product!

Let me start by saying that I could have just gotten a bad one.  The sounds were great and I really liked the amp modeling.  Mine quit within a day or two and would just stop whenever I used the expression pedal.  On the good side, Musician's Friend was great about it and let me return it with no hassles.  I am going to get something else.  The quality just did not seem to be enough for a gigging musician.  The price was great and gave a lot of options for what you paid.  Delta Labs has been around for a while and I really think this might have just been a bad unit.
