Lot's of Variations... Well Worth the Price!

    By Michael homan

    from New Oxford, PA

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

Overall, I have to say that this effects pedal is of good quality. I have bought many other pedals over the years, and while they are for the most part okay, I tend to lean very much to DigiTech for quality, sound, and price. The CF7 Chorus is one pedal effect I am glad I bought.
A great effects pedal for the price! I have a few other effects pedals, but was finding I was missing an element or piece of the puzzle as far as the sound I was looking for. Not only was chorus that effect, the Digitech CF7 Chorus Factory was just the effect that not only filled the gap in my sound, but gave me more variations since this pedal not only offers its own version or brand of chorus, it also has 6 other types of chorus built into it. I like this pedal because it has lot's of different settings and sound, and it's like having several different brands of chorus pedals all in one box. It is like the DF-7 Distortion Factory pedal that I also own and like. I have to say, both of these effects work well for me and my set up... so I highly recommend them to anyone with a small budget. Lastly, the DF-7 Distortion gives your tone that you can't get in many distortion pedals, giving you better sounding metal and even thrash with better lower end, yet cool sounding distortion. These are my best and fovorite pedals.
Good sound, lot's of choices, and variations! A very well made and constructed, metal... not plastic, pedal. Control knobs work smoothly. No noise when engauging... on/off.
Very Good Value! For the price, this was more than what I might get from other effects pedals. It's one thing to have a good effects pedal and pay a fair or reasonably price, but in this case you not only get one chorus pedal, but 7. How could more for less be considered less in value? Add the sturdy construction and quite on and off switching, and you got the DigiTech effects pedal line.

    Digitech hater digs this pedal!!

    By boogieboom-iY2dG

    from South Carolina

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have been very unimpressed with everything I have ever heard from Digitech - UNTIL I heard this pedal!! To my ears, all of the chorus sounds are delicious. I am the kind of guy who usually finds one KILLER sound (to my ears) and sticks with it, unless it won't work for the situation. This gives me "my" chorus sound in spades (I get lots of compliments from other good ears), while still allowing enough flexibility to cop another sound when it's necessary without redoing my board. I run it in the loop with a noise gate BEFORE it to keep the noise out of the modulation. The pedal itself is dead quiet. I'm definitely impressed. Still not a Digitech fan, but buy this one.

Set it and forget it (per gig that is)

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

First of all, I love the sound this pedal gives my bass, each "pedal within a pedal" has unique parameters that allow me to get exactly the sound I'm looking for, or even surprise me with a totally new sound. The pedal is very musical. However, you can rule out changing the settings mid gig. It's too much of a hassle. The concentric knobs are sleek, however sometimes they stick together making dialing in tedious. I really liked the flange and I especially liked the CE-5 model (it allows you to control the amount of effect on your lows and highs independently!! Overall this is a very musical pedal (even for Bass!), however, it is tedious to tinker with in live situations.

    Chorus Freak Approved

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have a lot of chorus pedals and am a freak for that slowly chorused guitar sound. I have had this pedal for a while and love it. It has lots of great sounds in it and while not as sweet as the originals, you cannot beat the bang for buck here. That being said, there are minor issues that may be major to you. Some of the models are better than others. I just do not see the point of having two Boss chorus sounds when just a CE-1 would have been better. The Fulltone Choralflange is disappointing. But the others are all very nice, and it is great to be able to have four excellent and different chorus sounds. This is better as a studio tool because the sweet spots on the different models require knob twiddling that is tough on stage even with the optional footswitch. I use a One Spot power adaptor without any issues, though as digital, it is a power hog. It isn't perfect, but it stays on my pedal board even though I have lots of chorus options. 'Nuff said.

Clean chorus, tons of variety. Huge tone control.

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

This isn't a bad chorus pedal at all. I mean, not bad AT ALL. Typically, I don't go for pedals like these. I usually prefer pedals that do just one thing, not many, but chorus was the last effect I needed and since I won't be purchasing any more pedals for quite awhile, I decided to try a pedal that had some options... digital pedals will never have that analogue warmth, but this pedal surprised me bigtime. It sounds fantastic. You have to tweak it a little of course, and I'm ALWAYS using at least one other effect with it (reverb and/or distortion). I've got a modest guitar: an Ibanez SA Series and a Peavey Classic 30 valve amp and this pedal sounds great through 'em (in the middle of a large chain, to boot). All modulation devices make noise, including this one, but NOWHERE near as much noise, as say, an Electric Mistress (another awesome pedal), but this one has 5 chorus effects and 2 flangers to select from and each of those has 6 control pots to shape the sound. Add a bit of reverb and it's quite warm sounding. Honestly, I'm not much on Digitech's multi-effects stuff, but their single effect pedals sound good, at least this one does... It's got a permanent spot on my pedalboard. :)

    Very nice

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

Just arrived today. While I haven't spent much time with it, i did a ton of research on various chorus pedals and this one will do pretty much anything you want, plus the stereo output option is great. Worth buying. Only thing I dislike is how you have to remove the footswitch to change the battery, but a power source will change that shortly.

    CF-7

    By FXcarden

    from Oakland, NJ

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

Built like a tank, this unit is very flexible and it sounds great. Now for the bad news.....I could not power it off my pedal board. This unit is very power hungry when compared to other choruses, which explains why a battery only lasts about 4 hours. My board could not deliver enough juice (milliamps) to power the pedal. I could have bought the recommended power supply, but decided on returning the CF-7 and grabbing a BOSS CE-5, which ran perfectly on my board. Too bad....I really liked the CF-7 :-(.

    Great pedal!

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've had this pedal for about 5 months now and I've been very pleased with it. Athough I don't know how some of the sounds match the models they have been built after, I can say that they are very high quality. You can tweek to your hearts content to get just about any chorus sound you want out of this pedal. I believe anyone who purchases this product would feel they made a good choice.

    Amazing Chorus Pedal!

    By Dulcimerist

    from Billings, MT

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought the DigiTech CF-7 Chorus Factory in order to upgrade the sounds I had been using with my old DigiTech Multi Chorus. Not only does the CF-7 have a setting to duplicate the sounds of the Multi Chorus, it also duplicates six other excellent chorus pedals! The Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus, TC Electronics Stereo Chorus Flanger, Fulltone Choralflange, EH Small Clone, and Boss CH-1 & CE-5 are all emulated excellently! Set it up in a stereo configuration, and prepare to be amazed! Six controls are available for each models, giving plenty of tweaking options. After buying and hearing the CF-7, I immediately bought a second CF-7 due to its versatility! This pedal is built like a tank, using metal construction; and produces high-quality, digital sound. The carbon fiber paint makes it look really cool, too! DigiTech X-Series pedals provide the most bang for your buck, and I highly recommend them! Make sure to grab a DigiTech AC power supply so you can save money on batteries!

    Pretty impressive pedal

    By Majikart

Comments about DigiTech CF7 Chorus Factory Guitar Effects Pedal:

I tried the Chorus Factory pedal a few weeks ago at Sam Ash music and I was really impressed with it when I played my strat through it, all the knobs were very functional and did exactly what the manual described; I would highly recommend this pedal to anyone who is a connoisseur of these type of effects; Digitech did a great job with this pedal.
