Comments about DigiTech JamMan Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
The unit worked fine for 9 months. The ability to load loops via JamManager ceased. Tech Support responded almost immediately and we exchanged 7 e-mails over a 3 day period. The conclusion was that the JamManager program was "Buggy" and I will have to live with it until an upgrade is developed.

first thing annoyed me was: NO HEADPHONE output jack, so you gotta have an amplifier to operate this toy at all.
second: NO MICROPHONE INPUT, so just instrument input. limited...
third: there is NO way you can create two phrases/loops/songparts on the fly or live situation.
delays are allright.
already returned!

The JamMan Delay is simply amazing. Well worth the money. It comes packed with delay modelers on top of its huge loop sampling capability. I use this pedal with guitars, basses, and a lot of the time, vocals. I've made countless loops with nothing but a microphone and my voice. It's also fun to tweak the knobs and make wild effects. Knock out the need for a delay pedal and a looper in the same purchase. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is it doesn't work with the One Spot adapter. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend it if you've got the money.

This pedal is wonderful. I used to be the owner of a Line 6 DL-4, but once I switched from solid state to a tube amp, I noticed some major tone sucking when I switched the pedal to loop mode. This pedal has no tone sucking and it's wonderful! It doesn't do as much for the delay section, but it does everything I need, and the looping is so glorious. Highly recommend it.

The first negative review is complaining about the Jamman Delay not having an option to turn off the quantization. As a user of the original Jamman for four years, I already know that the quantize function is engaged when the loop tempo is set via the stop/tempo switch. Before any tempo is set, the selected loop is in "free form" loop mode, completely un-quantized. The manuals for all the Jamman pedals are online, just go read them if you have questions about the pedal or its functions, they are quite thorough. I have yet to buy this pedal and I am really excited about its capabilities. Before you go and slam a product in a review that people (like me) actually take into consideration when buying something, make sure you know what you're doing. That's what forums and FAQs are for.
Comments about DigiTech JamMan Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
First I bought a Jam Man solo then I went back and ordered the Jam Man delay. My idea is to recreate the bass player. There is no way to do this in a live application. This unit does not have an option to turn off the quantization feature. That means it changes what you put into it NO MATTER WHAT. I play it exactly perfectly with the drummer then we play it back and play with it and it changes. Even at the correct tempo it is off beat with a live drummer that is on beat and right on the money. I don't reccomend this for a professional band. It would be good for a solo techno musician but it does not work with a drummer. I will keep the solo but the delay has to go back.
