OVERVIEW

A wide range of features combined with ease of use make the DigiTech JamMan a perfect sampler for practicing, composing, and performing.

The JamMan Stereo also features true stereo looping, reverse playback, and a mic input making it perfect for backing tracks or DJ applications.

The JamMan Stereo features USB connectivity and will sync to DigiTech's free JamManager software that organizes and saves your JamMan Stereo loops to PC or Mac. JamManager also lets you quickly create custom JamLists to take to your gig.

The JamMan Stereo also feature a 1/4" Rhythm Output jack to send to your monitor, keep the rest of the band in sync.

5 years and still a blast using this. Backing tracks are fine, but this allows so much more creative involvement on your part to just ad or take away until you get the sound you're looking for. There is a learning curve but plenty of great tuturials on the tube to get you started.

I like the performance of the machine better but hate the software and support of the Jamman Manager.
The software to download files from the computer to the Jamman is in some ways awkward and frustrating. There are a lot more hoops to jump through to get my tracks on the new Jamman Stereo. Building a library; building a JamList; transferring from library to Jamlist; then downloading to Jamman ONE AT A TIME. ARGGGHH!!! So slow and time intensive. And then after all that they don't show up on the Jamman itself. Then there's getting the computer to even recognize the SD card. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Then there's the "help" (?) icon for the Jamman Manager manual which can only be accessed on the Internet and not saved to the desk top of your computer. The more I use it the more my rating for it goes down. The one thing that makes it better than the previous version is that I don't have to make a folder for each song the new version imports the song. OK, that's cool! One last BIG, WHAT!?! To move from the built in memory (which holds less than 30 min. of memory) to the SD card memory on the machine, the user has to scroll up to the last space at 99 before it kicks over to the SD card memory. Why isn't there a switch or button for that? Genius?
The machine itself is better operating quality that the previous version (so far), but the buttons are noisey and can be picked up by the vocal mic. I liked the pedals better on the previous version.
I'm glad it's not more expensive than the last version because it wouldn't be worth the value then.

I've played many gigs with my 1st one , I bought another one for newer features. The best loopers made. The guys at tech support at Digitech, not the best , you should plan on learning things by yourself.

Comments about DigiTech JML2 JamMan Stereo Looper and Phrase Sampler Guitar Effects Pedal:

I love my DigiTech Jamman Stereo. That is, until it became dead in the water. I use an SD card to record backing tracks with which to practice. All worked well for several years, until now. I upgraded my computer to Windows 10 in July, 2015. Last month I needed to rebuild the SD card and low and behold, DigiTech doesn't support Windows 10 (or some versions of Mac also). I'm stuck with a partially unusable device (it still records loops, but I can't communicate with it at all). PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS UNTIL DigiTech gets their act together. You would think they could fix the problem in 5 months.

Comments about DigiTech JML2 JamMan Stereo Looper and Phrase Sampler Guitar Effects Pedal:

For what this pedal does, its pretty small and I like how they staggered the height of the 4 buttons. The sound it records for looping is high quality. Its blue so it looks cool too. Its got a nice drum beat that is great for solo stuff if your a guitar or bassist flying alone. My favorite use for it is to use it to write guitar solos in original material. Is expandable and will hold a remarkable amount of music. Its quick to recall. You can sent the drum/click directly to the drummer if you play live with one. Then he stays in time with the loop which is always the inherent problem with loop pedals. For impromptu jams its incredible. Its easy to recall programs and you can add more memory by using a larger flash memory card. Its tough, made of metal and after over a year and a half of use it seems to be pretty durable. The drawbacks are the same typical kind you find with complicated multi effects pedals. The instructions are ridiculous and extremely basic. The online support is not set up well and all this adds up to an extreme learning curve for actually utilizing all the things this monster looper can do. I would recommend it to people who are tech savvy (not me) but still warn them that they'll want to spend some time online watching how-to videos and then just messing with the pedal. It takes a while to figure it all out.

UPS delivered a few days late, the box was torn, MF had not even used packing material. I pulled out the unit, it appeared new, but the preprogrammed factory settings were altered and lacking their 10 tracks, so I know MF sent me a returned item not a new one. I was ticked but found how to restore the factory defaults and after a few false starts I was using this. KUDOS to Digitech, but to MF Friend, this was TWO lousy purchases from YOU in the same week. Go read my review of some 300 Watt PA speakers that my 30 watt Yamaha beats up in volume and tone.

I'm a worship leader in a 150 person church. Whenever one of our worship team calls in sick (drummer, guitarist, etc) I simply add their parts to this pedal and boom..... i have their replacements. LOL. Of course we'd rather have live musicians, but we don't have the budget to hire musicians. Today we used this because our drummer went out of town. We had hid play to a metronome in our mid-week practice and I broke up the tracks into individual loops. There was no issues if we wanted to repeat a chorus multiple times... There was a bit of learning but well worth the investment. This price for an on-call musician is not a bad price

Comments about DigiTech JML2 JamMan Stereo Looper and Phrase Sampler Guitar Effects Pedal:

Musicians Friend sent me one that I think had been sold before and returned. The factory presets were not functioning correctly and the 1st preset was all feedback. I thought the box look pretty worn when I received it. I call Digitech and reset the factory presets, so I did not need to send it back. I use this to practice and for live performances. It's great for solo and duo gigs. This tool really makes playing solo guitar gigs fun because I can lay down the changes then with my octave divider lay down a bass track over that and then play the melody and then blow over the changes. All this does takes time to develop but I use it sparingly. Mostly for uptempo tunes when I want to create a little movement. It's great fun for noisy cocktail hours when they want some background music. It's also great in duo situations because it gives more parts to play with. Endings can be tricky but you can set it up to fade out or turn it off and do a turnaround live after you hit the stop button. The best thing about this one is that when you hit the button there is no delay time in the time. It makes it easy to use right out of the box. This one is easy to use and lots of fun. Good Luck!

Comments about DigiTech JML2 JamMan Stereo Looper and Phrase Sampler Guitar Effects Pedal:

I originally tried the BOSS RC-3 and returned it right away. Loop playback levels were too low and rhythm tracks were awful quality.

Recently, I decided to try another looper and bought the Jamman Stereo looper. The solid metal construction is great. The sound quality is good and the loop playback levels were consistent which allowed me to keep both hands on the guitar uninterrupted.

The only ding I have to give this pedal is the not having the option to dial in an exact tempo. The only option you get is by tapping your foot on the pedal.

Overall, so far I have to say this one is a keeper!

right out of the box, the unit that was shipped to me was faulty. Aside from the amp hum even with premium cables, this unit cannot keep steady rhythm after a couple of minutes, the foot switches hang up, and now the unit cuts itself off for six seconds, then displays the current rhythm number and comes back on, like it is resetting itself. I checked my equipment for problems and found none.
