OVERVIEW

The new architect of your soundscape, defining space and adding dimension to your playing.

The Polara's flexible reverbs cover a full spectrum, from the intimate warmth of "Room," to the vast expansiveness of "Hall," through time with the cosmic power of "Reverse," and anchored by Lexicon's revered "Modulated," "Plate" and "Spring" reverbs. In addition to those classics, the Polara introduces the new "Halo" reverb. The "Halo" reverb with cascading octaves interspersed in the reverb decays will cast a heavenly glow over your tone.

Lexicon Reverb Types: Room - Fast decaying reverb; great for a touch of ambience, Plate - Renowned studio reverb found on classic recordings, Reverse - Reverb in reverse; quietly crescendos to full volume, Modulated - Lush modulating reverb ideal for chords, Halo - Shimmering reverb with cascading octave shifts, Hall - Large encompassing reverb with warm decay, Spring - Classic "surf" reverb

With its new, compact size and vacuum-style footswitch, the Polara truly represents the latest evolution in DigiTech pedal design. Digitech has put years of experience into every detail of its mechanical and sonic blueprint.

The Polara offers independent Level, Liveliness, Decay and Type controls; stereo inputs and outputs; a soft-click footswitch; and a reverb tails On/Off toggle switch. It is true bypass, and uses a 9V DC power supply to easily integrate into your existing pedal board.

Comments about DigiTech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

My previous reverb pedal was a Boss RV-5 and it sounded good but slightly too digital and too Boss for my taste. It always put just a little too much digital shine and trebly edge on my tone. The Polaris solved all of my problems. Digitech promotes the fact that this pedal uses true Lexicon reverb algorithms which they own and I can hear the difference.

Each setting sounds really dialed in and doesn't suck any tone. It is quiet and adds nothing to the noise floor when on or off. I am not terribly impressed by the halo and reverse settings just because I don't have much use for them, but the Room, Hall, Plate, and Spring settings sound fantastic. I use it before an MXR Carbon Copy rather than after because I want the analog Carbon Copy to put a final warm touch on the tone. The difference between before and after is negligible but I like knowing the final pedal is analog.

The Polaris replaced the Hand Wired RV-7 from Digitech, and it retains all of the good qualities in a smaller enclosure. Basically it is the same pedal with a few different settings. The enclosure and knurled metal knobs are high quality. There's nothing cheap about the construction or the sound. I think this is a really awesome pedal that not that many people have tried yet. I don't have a single complaint.

Comments about DigiTech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

I use a small amp setup and the reverb wasn't cutting it so I tried several different pedals until a friend/guitarist let me use his Polara for a recording session and I loved it. I bought one immediately and it sounds awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. I also love the rubber setting protector that came with it. Great idea!

Comments about DigiTech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

This reverb pedal is one of the best I've used in this price range. I originally bought a tc electronics t2, but it came broken so i sent it back. I didnt order another one and looked a few more days at pedals. I kept looking and could not find anything else besides the polara and i really didn't wanna get it cause since ive been playing, digitech has made horrible pedals! Glad I got it though, it really is one of the best sounding reverb pedals! Does exactly what i need to have a nice reverb to give you that kings of leon reverb, or a deep reverb like The Neighborhood and you can even turn it up and works perfectly for ambient guitar! The halo effect is my favorite and makes me realize I could not have a reverb without some sort of shimmer! Seriously, i don't think there is a better reverb for the price. Better than the TC HOF! Takes up very little space on the pedalboard too.

Comments about DigiTech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this pedal for my guitar rig after hearing the Halo setting on YouTube. It sounds good there, and the tails function is really neat. I also run sound at a local club, and the house p.a.'s effect unit went out. I brought in the Polara, and set it up in stereo for a long weekend of multiple bands each day. There was a wide range of groups playing, and from vocals, to cajon, violin, flute, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, accordion the Polara did a stellar job of enhancing the sound with a beautiful stereo spread and high quality sound. Based on this experience, I believe the Polara could be a "secret weapon" for live sound engineers running stereo p.a.

The POLARA Replaces the Hardwire RV-7

Comments about DigiTech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

The Digitech POLARA is the replacement for the Hardwire RV-7. Digitech has always owned Hardwire. Hardwire is going away and everything will now be branded under Digitech with the same Hardwire technology. The Polara is the RV-7 with Halo and Reverse settings. Nice pedal, great sound. Apologies for screwing up both names in my previous review.

Comments about DigiTech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

Although the headline doesn't really affect the sound, these qualities are important to me. I'd like to think the pedal will last awhile.
Anyway I've only played around with it for a few hours. I ran it into a T.C. Electronics
Trinity Reverb and the results are so far pretty impressive. The Trinity is definitely more exotic as far as reverbs go while the Polara is more traditional. When I first got the Trinity I wasn't so sure of the pedal itself and how I would use it but, after some experimentation I really dig it. The key to usable sounds seems to be using the controls in moderation. Combining reverbs produces some interesting and usable sounds and/or noise. After more use I think I'll be able to dial in the Polara as well. Plus, I got it on sale. Solid purchase.

Comments about DigiTech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

So, this is a stereo effect pedal. But, when active, the Polara mixes the two channels. For example, if you send a riff to only the left channel, Polara will put out sound on both left and right channels. This happens even when both inputs are hooked up. Great pedal otherwise.
