True metal monsters need real metal tone. Look no further. Nonstop distortion with shrieking highs, moaning lows, and vicious bite. Controls for Guts (low EQ), Pain (mid EQ), Scream (high EQ), and R.I.P. (output level). Uses optional PS200R power supply. Seriously tough heavy metal stomp box.

i like this pedel...it sure beats the Boss MT thing
This pedal is totally awesome, it's 100% better than other lame pedals or really expensive models. Perfect for people who just want to have fun playing or peforming for an audience
This pedal has a very trebly type distortion making it very clear in the bass, mid and obviously treble. The distortion or gain in audio is mainly derived from the midrange band which basically all gain circuits are designed around but by this pedals performance and sound I would assume its based around the treble frequency range. This pedal could idealy be used with any music if your really good at tuning equipment in and have a volume kit on your guitar because theres no gain control and the only way to reduce its overdriven sound is on your guitars volume. Note: a volume kit allows you to have your volume at zero without the severe loss of treble and mid any normal guitar setup suffers from. I've seen this pedal used and gigged with for many types of music including blues which actually with all its treble and raspiness somewhat reminds me of other blues distortions I've heard and used. Even with my high reviews I don't think I would recomend this pedal because its too noisy and has no gain control meaning if you don't have a really good rig you won't be able to clean up the sound. For those into Death Metal though what more could you ask for though. Screams for rythms and leads and has a very very clear sound even with its oversaturating distortion.
I have only had this pedal one year and during one of my shows the pedal decided to die and quit working for me. Never again am i buying DOD.
It has a good sound if you like black or death metal tone. You can play music from Disarray to Gorelord if you have the right pickups or amp. I would highly recommend it to any guitarist into most any genres.
I didn't know that I could get such a killer tone out of one little box. This is the only pedal I will ever need.
it's good distortion, but the stomp box stays on. you can't stomp it off. i mean you can, but after a while it'll get stuck. i'll just have to repair mine. other than that, this is some awesome equipment.
I bought the DOD FX86 hoping for a "Metal Crunch", what I got was a cheesy-sounding fuzzbox with a high-mid-low tone control. It basicically has one distortion sound, that can be slightly modified with the EQ. Not what I was looking for Death Metal, Thrash Metal sound.
Awsome distortion with lots of gain.
I think this is a great pedal for anyone who wants to make metal music. I use this myself and it sounds sweet.
