Fantastic Pedal

By Brainiac

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've tried numerous pedals including Korg, Yamaha, Boss, Ernie Ball and others. this pedal is great. Zero coloration of your tone. It goes just as well at the beginning as the end of the signal chain so you can forget all that ernie ball marketing spoo about active and passive. It's extremely gig worthy (so far after two months). If you have a guitar, regardless of the number of pedals this is for you.

awesome pedal

By nmr711

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

I had held back on buying a volume pedal for a while since the most popular ernie ball one was string-operated...and from what I've seen, easily breaks. When this dunlop came out and I read a few favorable reviews, I quickly picked it up. First off, this pedal is pretty huge (larger than a crybaby). But it's construction is extremely solid and seems pretty indestructible. This pedal has a lot of travel, and the screwdriver-adjustable tension is an awesome feature. Of course, most importantly, it SOUNDS great...amazing for violining and swells, etc. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Smooth, solid and works like it should

By G-t.tjz

from Monrovia, California

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

It's a Dunlop so it works as expected. Input, output and tuner out jacks in the front. Heavy construction with good shielding, plenty of pedal travel with a smooth action and adjustable torque. It has a 250K sealed, audio (log) taper pot. The volume increases evenly throughout most of the pedal travel with a slightly faster swell at the very end - a typical response for a passive, audio taper pot. The pedal is sonically transparent. It doesn't color my sound at all. The steel band drive is smooth and appears robust but it's a new design. I hope it lasts.

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

Makes life easier when it comes to volume control.
Researched dozens of volumes pedals from Ernie Ball to Morley, and this one stuck out to me.

I see now why it had such positive reviews.

So far, I am very satisfied. And it seemed to "clean" up my channel, as well as obviously giving me much more controlled control of my overall volume.

Does what it says, what else can you ask for?

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

For those of you unfamiliar with the "volume pedal", it may be a "one trick pony", but what a an effect!
This pedal is a quality tool, solid and functions well.
I find that most of my effect is noticable in a relative narrow range of the total range of motion / resistance.
It was be nice to be about to adjust the pedal to expend the region where I prinicpally use the pedal, so that I had more control.
Perhaps in a future version of this.

Slight blemish. A returned item or a small imperfection on the finish?
Solid with high quality components. I wish quality was less expensive, but alas!

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

Played pro for 26 years or more. This pedal will hold up. You can accomplish steel guitar sounds as well as that violynn swell every pro looks for. I really like the total quietness you get when you open the pedal. Really helps when you take a break during sets. Price was really good also, paid just under a hundred cause it was on sale. Quality product you'll enjoy.

Good and Rugged

By Neal Pickle

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

Overall, this is a good volume pedal.
The option of setting the tension on the pedal to be more or less loose is a nice feature. I wish when you pulled the pedal all the way back (aka no volume) that the reverb effect from my pedals rang through, similar to how if you turn down the volume on your guitar manually. I will make do, but wish this was something Dunlap could change. Lastly, if you are looking for a volume light in weight, this is not it.
Well made.
I'm giving it an 8 because of the aforementioned volume cut off when in the off position.

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought the pedal after trying my friend's DVP-1 and I love it. It is heavy and really tough built yet feels very smooth to use the pedal. You can adjust the torque which is also very useful and it has a output jack for a tuner which is also handy. Compared to the famous Ernie Ball VP, this pedals has a more smooth and better looks and is more sturdier than it. Best volume pedal you'll ever find for its price anywhere!

Comments about Dunlop DVP1 Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

To start off this is the best volume pedal I have ever used. It is very easy to operate, it is very smooth feeling when engaging the pedal, and as far as I can tell it has not sucked any of my tone. I use this pedal a lot for ambient volume swells, and it works flawlessly. I really like how you can adjust the tension of the pedal. The only complaint I have about the pedal is the size of the pedal. It is quite large and if you have a small pedal board it will not fit on your board. This pedal is built like a tank and is no cheap piece of junk. This thing is bullet proof! The price is a little high for me, but if it broke I would buy another one.
