I was on the market for a wah and a volume pedal. When I saw one had both, I had to try it. I got it for Christmas and just started using it. I use it in front of my Danelectro Fish and Chips EQ and Boss )S-2 overdrive/distortion pedals into a Fender FM212 amp. I don't use wah that much, however, I have had to do some R&B tunes lately and it nails it. It will take your solos to a new and cool level. It's important to try it in different spots in your Effects chain, I like it before my overdrive. You can tilt the pedal all the way back to kill the volume, push in all the way for a boost, or use the extra boost on the side for more boost for a solo. The 'Q' dial on the side is great to find the perfect sound. A bass player friend of mine tried it on his bass and said it sounded better than some bass wahs. Get the original wah tone with the ones who perfected it.

I have had this pedal for about 5 yrs now and I have used it all 5 of those yrs. I only used it for a couple of songs that required it when our band played out. This pedal sounded great when I first used it, but after I used it a couple of times the wah sound and range just died out on me. It never sounded the same as it did the first few times I used it.I would have replaced it right away but being in a band we pool our money for other upgrades and since I only used it on a couple of songs a gig it wasn't a neccesity.Due to health reasons I am not able to jam out anymore so I play and record alot of blues at home. I have tried My buddies vox wah though my AC30 Custom Classic and was blown away. The wah was about a year old and still sounded sweat with a great sweep.I am getting the Vox and will be gutting the Mr crybaby for the chassis to build my own custom wah or volume pedal.P.S. Don't fall for the Boost function. It is just there because this pedal sucks so much tone and volume even when just plugged in, that you have to use the boost just to compinsate for the loss.HORRIBLE pedal DUNLOP. Never will by crybaby again!!

        An expensive headache

        By davoroups

The Mister Crybaby Super Wah Volume promised the lot, and delivered a lot less. Paid top $ for this thing. The wah is reasonably good, the vol control is fair at best, the tiny boost switch totally annoying to use, ridiculous at a live gig. What really stumped me though was a complete breakdown after 6 months after minimal use, probably 5 gigs and 20 practice sessions. Looks like I now have to replace the main pot for almost a quarter of the full retail price. I feel that the hype surrounding Dunlop gear is just that. Buy a cheaper wah pedal and get different pedals for the extras.

Dunlop Mister Crybaby Super Volume/Wah Pedal

        By Guitarded Grungester

        from Somewhere, Pennsylvania

I bought this pedal about 2 1/2 months ago, and it works GREAT! The pedal works both as a volume, a wah and a boost. The knob on the side controls the boost volume and when you hit the red button on the side, it turns the boost on. When the wah is off, the volume is on, and if your not careful, the pot will start giving a scratchy sound. Its a good pedal, and I recommend buying it.

        good with bad switch

        By Anonymous

        from Undisclosed

Read the reviews and they said it was a good sounding pedal but they also said the footswitch was not friendly. That was the truth. If you buy this pedal be prepared to return it or do surgery replacing the switch. It has a good sound and wide range but the switch is uncompromising. Hit it soft no change, hit it hard no change. Design flaw in a good quality pedal.

        Tries too hard.

        By Joel-hKb.U

The wah function of the Dunlop Mister Crybaby is tolerable, though nothing special. But as a volume pedal this thing a joke; it's uncomfortable and poorly weighted for use as such. Also, the volume boost function is noisy and not terribly useful. If you already own a wah, DO NOT UPGRADE TO THIS. Spend the $ on an Ernie Ball VP Jr., which is a wonderful, comfortable, well-built, noiseless volume pedal. You'll get the added bonus of being able to move your volume and wah pedals around independently on your FX line.Incidentally if you play steel guitar, this is not the pedal for you. Though it works as wah, this is truly the worst volume pedal I've ever used.

        Great Pedal!

This pedal does exactly what I need it to. When volume is all the way down, there is almost no signal which is great in between songs when even the slightest bit of volume can be heard through the house system. Volume control is balanced and to the point when I need it. Wah switch works perfectly and takes enough effort to turn on so that you don't activate it by accident. Wah tone sounds great through my Mesa Boogie. SWEET PEDAL!!!!!

Well I was exited when I first got it but I diden't realy know how to use it and now that I'm more educated on it i'm really not impressed. It uses battery power quickly and I'm contantly changing the batteries. But I also own a Morely and between the two I perfer this one. I plan on selling both and getting a multi effect pedal.
