Although the Boutique pedals are excellent, if you want a Univibe it's all here. Warning: this pedal is NOT true bypass. But neither are the univox originals. That, and many other details make this THE most authentic Univibe on the market. The only differences between this pedal and the original Univox Univibe is a few fixes: volume loss issue is fixed with 3 dB of possible volume boost, and a high impedence option is added, which is automatically engaged in bypass mode to preserve tone. The sounds are so liquid and smooth and sweet and psychedelic. Sounds great on guitar and bass. That's right, I use this pedal on bass. Not only can I hear the psychedelic liquid sweetness, I can FEEL it as this pedal swirls my massive low end. I can swim in it.

I am very disappointed in this pedal, whether it is on or off it sucks the tone and volume right out of your rig. I didn't spend thousands on my tube amp to reduce it to a think digital sounding swirl. I can't believe this pedal is not true by pass. If you value your tone, do NOT buy this pedal. Avoid. The Jimi Hendrix Rotovibe is much better and does not suck your tone, it's no Uni-Vibe but it sounds warmer. I strongly advise to look at other options, a Uni-Vibe is overrated, overpriced junk.

    Not really a univibe

    By jcornelius

    from Oklahoma

All I have to say is, if you want that real 60's/70's Uni-Vibe sound, I would highly recommend looking at the others on the market. I bought this a year ago, and although it sounds like a UV, it is not the same. I don't even think it has a lamp/photo cell in the circuit, like the originals. And this unit costs about the same as a Fulltone Deja-Vibe, wich is an exact recreation of the vintage circuit (and sounds awsome). I am actually selling mine because its just not good enough. It is built well, but thats the only good thing I can say about it.

    Umm... Swirly!

I've had this bad boy for years and it is still one of the most frequented go-to pedals in my chain. The sound is so lush and can easily fill the dead little spaces in the air with a blanket of warm chicken soup. Get it!

    Swirl Dimension

    By BrownSound

I've tried just about every Vibe effect out there, and I gotta say, the dunlop UV-1 is the real deal! It's been on my chain for years, and no matter what kind of song I'm jamming on, the univibe always gets used! Don't waste time on digital imitations, you will not get that wonderful, lush sweep that this pedal has to offer! The only drawback the univibe has is the "Vintage" switch, which doesn't really seem to change the sound in any noticeable way. It is kinda pricey, but once you buy it you won't want to play without it.

    Great pedal

    By EinarB

    from Kentwood, MI

Great chorus sound for that Jimi thing ! Needs the foot controller to vary speed. Good enough for Jimi & Robin Trower. I don't worry about any volume loss 'cause it's the next to last effect in my chain (delay is last). Had it for years along with the no longer available Dunlop Jimi fuzz(Arbiter in a box instead of dish) & Dunlop Octave box(Octavia in a box instead of wedge)I once had the originals ! CLEAN!!!!!

    Uni-Vibe awesome vintage tones

    By Kurtster

    from USA

This is an amazingly cool pedal. I use it with the foot contoller pedal, which I also recommend. I use this pedal in front of my amp, in line with my other pedals. I run a looper pedal into it so I can bypass it altogether when not using it. The swirling chorus sounds are awesome, especially in "vintage" mode. I run it mono, but use an a/b box going into two amps. Sounds killer live, and it sounds good if you are being recorded live. You won;t be disappointed. Just take some time playing witht he level and intensity. Cool that it has a volums control on it too.

    love this pedal

    By Hendrix16

    from ohio

the lead guitarist in my band uses a univibe and it is amazing. great for the old 60's 70's music like we play. im actually in the process of getting it myself but its pricey..so im looking into buying the Univibe Stero..its basically the same pedal but cheaper. there are other pedals like the univibe but nothing compares to the real deal. GET THIS. its tottaly worth the money. if your short on cash like me, get the univibe stereo chorus

    Hendrix all over again!!!!

I luuuv this little machine. I have had it for about 7 or 8 months and i use it every time i practice and at all my shows. You can get a nice phasey effect turn it down slow and u can get a heart beat if you turn the intensity all the way up or more than half. I reccomend also getting the Foot control or some expression pedal to control the speed with. Overall, get pedal for phase, chorus, pitch shifting, and almost flange like!

    Interesting little thing

    By Alex-1jqHd

    from Hammond, IN

This pedal is higly expensive, but worth it. Luckily for me I got it as a gift. This is a great pedal especially for Hendrix stuff like the star spangled banner or just anything really. It adds a lot of character to a slower arpeggio and can sound wicked slow or fast with either the chorus or the vibrato. The only downsize is that the Chorus and Vibrato do not have seperate controls so if you want to switch between the two they have to be on the same speed.

    Too expensive

    By Sound_Sickness

    from Merida, Yuc, Mexico

this a good pedal but way too expensive for what it is (just as any MRX-Dunlop pedal)I'd recomend to buy the EHX Wiggler which it's drive by two vacuum tubes and it's cheaper.
