Ebtech

A quick and easy way to eliminate AC hum and noise.

The Ebtech 2-Channel Hum Eliminator is a quick-and-easy way to eliminate AC hum and noise. Insert the Hum Eliminator in the line-level signal path after your preamp and it will break noisy ground loops without degrading your signal. Use it on long unbalanced lines that are especially vulnerable to noise. Many mixers don't have balanced monitor outs and aux sends, but you can make them quiet using Ebtech's Hum Eliminator. Includes 1/4" TRS smart jacks that convert automatically back and forth between balanced and unbalanced lines. Made in the USA.

this thing does exactly what I bought it for, but when i use it, it seems to drastically cut the sound signal- basically making me turn up the volume even more, just to get heard... it definately gets rid of that annoying buz from ground loops, but beware that if you don't have any headroom as far as volume goes, you will be dissapointed...

I bought this thing a while back and it didnt work at all. I used to use a wall wort to power 13 pedals no my board and  was very confident that this would solve my problem. Unfortunately it only added more buzzing to my signal and beleived I may have purchased a dud. Eventually I bought the 1spot adapter and that solved my problem, to a degree. Perhaps later on, I'll buy another and hope it works for me.

im in a band that does many live shows and i always have a problem with feed back and even with my noise suppressor i still get a ground hum. this thing works perfectly but if you are using a head like mine (i have a peavey valve king) your gound hum is most likely cased by the plug not by any loop so this has no value at all. if this is you i recommend the Ebtech Hum X Hum Exterminator. im ganna return this and get that

I use this in my effects loop to kill the hum picked up by my Monster Cable insert cable(very NOISY cable, but built very well).I run the send cable of the insert cable to the hum eliminator first, then to mxr chorus,to mxr flanger, then to 482i sonic maximizer, then sends the signal back through the return cable. This thing killed all the hum and noise with no problem. It's a very simple little box,and I highly recommend it.

I use a lot of effects and i was getting a lot of hum from the ground loop and this thing got rid of it. Not to be confused with a gate that gets rid of single coil pickup hum but this works if you know what to do with it.
