Almost perfect tracking, infinite tweakability. For my uses, I pretty much only tweak the freq sliders and the rate. Understanding how they work together opens up the useability of this effect.
Let me get right to the point. This thing sounds pretty amazing. I was looking for that stevie wonder bass sound. And this was the right choice. But... this unit does not have a true bypass. Which means when your bypass is switched to "off", your tone is still being run through all the circuits. For me it meant when the unit was in "off" I was getting a nasty clipping sound. You can fix this with a looper. But it would have been nice to know that before shelving out the money for this unit.
amazing sounds!!! analog heaven!!!! fat strage & wonderfull!!!
From what i have perceived, there is only one or two desirable sounds that can come out of this pedal. Also- I was disappointed to see there is a start frequency and a stop frequency on the sweeping- so it either goes up or down... it would be nice for an option to sweep between the two. It's a very bold pedal- and any sound you get out of it that is desirable will be top notch and slice through the mix well. I would definitely suggest being 100% sure about this pedal before purchase- it's a great pedal- but the price is a little steep for it.
You can get some great sounds from this expensive thing, but it takes a lot of work to get it right. Unfortunately, the documentation does not really teach you how to use it, so you are on your own. If you don't put in the time, you might be disappointed, but if you do, you have some great effects.
