Forget about the name PolyChorus: this not a chorus pedal, is way more than that! The description given at EHX page should be different, so if you want a chorus effect get the Small Clone. This more of a modulation effects machine, dilaling on the knobs creates many different sounds. Is you like to experiment get this one, if you want chorus and flanger effects get separate units. A piece of advice: try it out before buying it. I love this pedal but many people would hate it. I hope you find this useful.

I used to own this pedal and it is horrible. Really its just chorus and flange...the chorus is like a pitch shifter, doesnt sound like anything...the flange isn't all bad but why buy a pedal just for chrous and flange for this price??? Big waste of money here, you'd be way better off just getting a chorus pedal and not waste money trying to get the same pedals other people have used.

Grood - Great and Good

By Ya'll dun wanna step to dis.

from Edmonton, AB

Okay, so this is a knob-twister's dream pedal, pretty much. Don't get me wrong, if you choose to leave the knobs in one place, you will find many usable and pleasant tones, particularly choruses and flanges of the analog variety. But for those who are so inclined, this pedal really shines in making sci-fi type effects, especially when playing with Tune/Delay and Feedback knobs. So if your style of music could benefit from the sound of UFOs landing, this is your pedal. Two negatives - one, no 9-volt option (understandable, it's a big frickin pedal) and the paint scratches easily, but if you're gonna let that distract you from making beautiful noise with this pedal, you should give up entirely and go into visual arts. For a lot of people, it's a tossup between this and the Electric Mistress, the OTHER big frickin pedal. I'll give this one an edge, because you can get pretty close to a Mistress in sound, with a chorus and a flanger built in. It's just a better value.

Awesome pedal with great features

By Dehumanized

from Kent, WA

The Stereo PolyChorus is versatile, and very well-stocked in the business of making sound and/or noise. It has simple-yet-powerful controls, letting you shift the sound drastically with the turn of a knob or the flick of a switch. The only trouble that I've had with this pedal is the massive uncontrolled feedback possible by cranking the knobs just a bit too much, and even then it can still be fun to play with. Beware, though, if you're looking at using this in your songwriting, you may have trouble finding practical uses for it.

The Poly-Chorus maintans its watery sound with a distinct hardness to its doubling effect. It also has a flange effect that makes this pedal good for both cleans and distortion. The Poly-Chorus was also used by Kurt Cobain along with a Small Clone Chorus pedal in the tour of 94.

I love this beast!

I've had this pedal for several years now, and I still love it to death. I intially got it for a Kurt Cobain-ish sound, and found it, but have stumbled upon countless other great, wonderful, even downright bizarre sounds with the chorus on this pedal. The Flange is great, and if you tweak it just right you can get amazing "Jet Plane" sounds from it. The Filter Matrix setting can create some interesting sounds too. I like to use it for Lo-Fi/Sci-fi type sounds. At one point I started writing them down because I couldn't keep it all straight. The only downside is that you HAVE to have an adapter for it (Tip: if you gig with it, bring your own extension cord. May come in handy) If you purchase this pedal, I'd encourage you to experiment ALOT. Just watch that Feedback knob...that thing can make some ungodly noise if it's up too high (though I've found ways to have fun with that too) It's a bit pricey but well worth it.

Best Chorus Ever

By ldfgjdabg

I have been looking for a long time for a great chorus pedal, and when i got this i had found one. In this pedal you not only have the option of chorus, but you also can choose between flange, double track, and filter. Plus it has a sweep filter switch to add more versatility to playing, unlike most chorus pedals where you only have one choice of effects and very little option one making your sound more unique.I gave it an 8 on quality because it seems a little thin. Like if i play to hard around it i risk damaging it. the metal that it's made out of just doesn't seem the stongest. if you are looking for strictly a chorus pedal, but one that can withstand any blow, I would go for the digitech multi chorus. But if you are looking for more than just chasis strength then i would definatly get this one.all in all, best chorus pedal of all time! there is not another pedal out there that can create a tone as lush as this one can.

Best pedal on the market

By KillYourTV

from Seattle

I bought this pedal yesterday and I could not stop playing with it all day. So many different sounds, so little time.I had an Ibanez cf7 chorus/flanger before this and the ibanez is a joke compared to this pedal. If you want an awesome pedal that does what most pedals can't come close to, then save the money and buy this pedal...you will not regret it.

SO MUCH MORE THAN CHORUS!

By Chout

Don't let the name fool you, this baby creates MUCH MORE SOUNDS THAN CHORUS! I recently purchased an EHX Electric Mistress, returned it and got this when I learned it has the same Flange/Filter Matrix plus chorus and double track settings! The variety of sounds you can make seem endless: pleasant chorus/slap echo/flange sounds to wacky Moog-esque synth washes thanks to the feedback knob that lets you overload it into noise heaven! Consider it an EHX multi-effects pedal!

Great Pedal

By Snackcake

from ARkansas

Although it can be very difficult dialing in that perfect chorus setting that you're looking for, once you do get it, this pedal proves to be one of the best choruses ever. Also, the flanger setting is awesome. I am not sure if the other two effects should really even be on there, seeing how I can't find any practical uses for them, although they do make some pretty crazy sounds.

Milk & Kisses & Jet planes

By Violaine Chatte

from California

The best chorus I've ever heard. Nothing compares. It's beautiful and lush and shimmering, and doesn't have that wonky "waoh waoh" filtery sound many choruses have (*cough*boss*cough*). The sound is watery and full, and does a Nijinsky-like ballet dance for one's ears. You can get anything from a Cocteau Twins swirl to Nirvana sludge to synth-like fluxes to the *feel* (though not sound) of lush orchestras. The flanger is amazing too... better than the Electric Mistress, really. More subtle and shimmering. The controls are perfect. Everything you need, easy to use. It DOES feedback a lot at certain settings (in a very lush and saturated way), which I personaly like. It's a very atmospheric pedal. If you're looking for something equally as great but more practical and simple, try the Uni-Vibe. The only bad thing about the Poly Chorus is the price tag. Which is why I don't own one *yet*.

this baby is well worth the price .it has most features of boss's flange and digi-delay so that 110+120 which around the same as what pay for this 210. and it not as artificial as their flange which very digital which in my option isn't very pretty.
