i got this pedal a few weeks ago and i love it for anything i play heavy/death metal 80s rock jazz funk anything. i paly a 5 string jazz bass and a 4 string P bass (in drop C) and this gives them both that that deep low boom in a PA or an amp or you could bring it back some and just add a bit of a deeper sound. there is alot to say about this pedal but that is all i will say. and i thank at least 80% of bassist will love this pedal its really good for the $.

I bought this unit thinking it would be like the old Mole I had in the early 70s. The description made me think that it was going to be a versatile stomp box that would allow me to pick a frequency and boost it, allowing me to have a variety of sounds that my amp wouldn t deliver.(I took the active pick ups out of my bass, so my I missed the ability to boost mids and lows). Anyway..when I stepped on the "on" switch,my volume went up 3 times, and it was all MUD. even at the 400 hz boost, it was nothing I could ever use on stage or to record with. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

It's a good pedal. It's cheap, built tough and road-worthy, and it does what it's supposed to do. Doesn't get much better than that, especially with a poor college musician's budget!!
Not many features on it at all. Just a knob. But the feature works well, and it's easy to use
I've only had this for 2 months, but it's been dropped a few times. No dents or dings. Very well built pedal. The sound it produces is nice as well. Really fattens the tone. And to those reviews that say it eliminates the highs and mids, it actually makes mine come out much more clear, and makes them sound compressed and smooth. It's really nice.
Most definitely worth the money. That's really all i have to say

Other people complain it is too bassy. What is the name of the pedal? It does exactly what it says, boosts the bass. That is why I bought it and that is what it does.
It really fattens up the higher notes when I don't want a thin sound. Works real well on tunes from the '60s and '70s that need a fat upper register. I'm very happy with this pedal.
Very easy to use, plug it in and turn the knob. Couldn't be easier.
Strong case.
For a great low price.

I love this pedal. i see alot of people have tone problems with this pedal. I experience non. Although i'm using it on the korg monotibe synt.
It does what it says. Boost your bass. It does just that. Only downfall is the slight volume boost that accompanies this
Very solid metal case. Boost the bass very deep.

Yea, it boosts the lowS, but...REMOVES THE MIDS AND HIGH FREQ'S.I'll try to find a use for it, should return it. It was cheap for a reason, not really useful.

I picked up the unit because it was cheap and figured it might give me a bit of a switchable boost. It does what it says. It does add a boost, but drains all decent tone from the chain, no matter it's placement.Perhaps on a thinner rig it would be worth something, but on a old school Fender BXR300 it just sounds super mushy and toneless.I can't tell you how it will sound on your own gear, but on mine it was a paper weight.Maybe try it on a guitar to beef it up?Who knows. Keep your ticket if you buy it, it could come in very handy.

Be careful when you first use this, it REALLY boost the low end. If you mess with it enough you can get some useful boost out of it, which is about the only real use I have found for it.It's very well made, but just doesn't do all that great with my equipment.

When I tried to unscrew the back to replace the 9v battery, my the screw driver stripped the screws. I can only use it with a power adaptor.

I bought this unit to try to get a good Mel Schacher (Grand Funk) tone. When dialed mostly to the right, it does great. My complaint is, it steps up my signal almost double. I watched it on my recorder.The VU meter swings way up when I turn it on. I wouldn t use this all night,but when I want that overdriven,earth shaking "Mel" tone, this little unit does the trick. I just wish I could find a way to keep the volume the same with it on or off.(maybe a limiter?)

Like most of you will, I bought this because it was cheap, EHX, and true bypass. It was a waste of money. If you give two craps about bass tone, this thing will disappoint you. It boosts bass and almost completely removes mids and highs. Click this puppy on and your tone is immediately abolished. I can not imagine any use for this pedal, and we get pretty experimental/creative in the studio environment. Please trust me when I say this...you and your tone would be better off if you if you threw your $$ away.
