    Let me tell you one thing, this pedal is not cheap, but is one of the best delay pedals you can get!! Really!! It's worth the price!! I've had a lot of pedals and multi-effects and of course there are other great delay pedals, but if you're looking for an all-in-one delay-solution that won't sound horrible as most of the multi-effects, this is the one. And also, if you're just looking for a great delay pedal, this is the one. The lastest delay pedals and multi-effects I had where the Boss GT-10, the Nova System, the Carbon Copy, the Deja-Vu, and the Flashback Delay. Nothing compares to de Eventide TimeFactor. The Carbon Copy is a great pedal, but you don't get Tap Delay, and it's only analog, if you're looking only for something analog that's a great choice, but with the Eventide you get so many delay types, and they are all great, even if it's not real analog like the Carbon Copy. With the Eventide you get 9 Delays, all of them are the best I've heard, you get a Looper, up to 60 presets in 2-Presets Bank, you can store your delays and that also means that if you need two delay types for the same song you can activate them with just the push of the pedal switch, it's True Bypass, you can change it to buffered and you won't tell the difference, and you also get Tap Tempo. Save the mone and buy this Eventide, you won't be dissapointed!!

    I'm a guitar player NOT an engineer. Honestly, this is a dream come true soundwise. Almost makes you cry it sounds so good. But,I play LIVE. Eventide, please make a Timefactor Jr. for dummies with 1/2 the knobs and I will be the first in line. I have no time for Banks of 20-40 presets. My foot got tired from clicking thru them. Why? It doesn't click backwards!! I know!! Please come out with a smaller, user friendly, stage unit for simpler people...like guitar players :)

    Comments about Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

    This is just the most complete top-quality multi digidelay you could have on a pedalboard. With an Expression pedal you can do things like lengthen (or shorten) the repeats (and/or modulation, et al), vary the speed your signal ping-pongs between the two outs(!), or whatever it is you'd like to change while you're playing. Yes, it comes with about 50 or so pages of how-to, but it's not really that involved. Keep it handy since it contains the parameters and values for various knob assigns for the different delay-types. For example, one knob changes the tape-delay 'flutter' intensity in the Echo mode; the same knob may be a hi-cut for the repeats in DigitalDelay mode. The delays are studio-quality, lush, and varied. My most-used variety is the gated 'Ducked' delay, that won't start the repeats until you finish your phrase (the sensitivity is, of course, adjustable).
    Here's the only less-than-amazing things about this unit (I've had mine for about 2 years now, btw):
    ~~~The bottom is covered with a thick sheet of non-slip rubber that Velcro will just NOT stick to. I'm really surprised such a p-board effect would do that (they certainly could've enclosed the rubber piece and allow the buyer to decide if their delay was going on the floor, or a pedalboard--and use it or not). So, there's that.
    ~~~The way this unit is designed there are only 2 patches available per Bank, and if you click up one bank, you'll have to scroll all the way around to get back. I was able to lock the scroll at 2 banks, and I assigned the Bank 1/2 switching to a generic one-dimmer-switch 'channel switching' switch (this unit has two pedal-out jacks, for one of these and an expression pedal. So I got around that, and have 4 delay-settings available (2 per bank; 2 banks on) without TOO much tap-dancing, but it's kind of over-sprawled my amp-loop board.
    I replaced it for a while on my board with a Vox DelayLab; the Vox was slightly bigger than this TimeFactor (they're both real-estate hogs), but it had 3 patches per bank, which cut down on the tap-dancing on stage. Before long, though, I missed the sounds of the 2 separately-adjustable simultaneous delays in my TimeFactor. You've probably figured out by now that this may be a lot more Delay than a lot of folks need or want. I mostly use mine these days for particularly spacey passages in 'Classic Rock'-type stuff (All Along the Watchtower, 1983, A Day in the Life, etc). There are some mighty good digital delays around for about half what this one costs; if you just need a reliable digidelay for slapback, echo, or Cheap Drama Moments, you'd be better off with one of those. If you'll get inspired by the best studio-quality stage delay (of any type) you could have, or want to put those 'Ambient Washes' under your sound, you may need this one.

      absolutely beautiful

      By myheart'smetronome

      from Coal Valley, IL

      Comments about Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

      if you are someone who can't get enough delay, then this is the delay pedal for you. i have got to say that i could never be happier with another delay pedal. it has a very large amount of features, which can be confusing at first, but after getting used to it a little, you'll fall in love with it.first of all, you can have 2 delay's running simultaneously, and the delay times can very from anything from a whole note, to a dotted 1/4 note, to a 1/64 note. it also has 10 different delays, including a looper. this gives you so many option's to use when creating your banks.also, you can have up to 50 banks! do you need that many? no. but it's always nice to know you will most likely never run out of room when creating banks.if you are a person who loves using delay, get it. i use it in every single song i've recorded, and use it every time i'm playing a gig.and even though it has sooooo many features, it will never become obsolete. whenever eventide desides to come up with something to add to the timefactor, you can download it right onto your timefactor, because there is a usb jack.even though i've said it a lot already, this pedal is quite amazing. i definately recommend buying it. the only thing, is that if you aren't a huge delay freak and would only use it every once in a while, it would probably be a good idea to go with something cheaper, because this is expensive. but otherwise, order it NOW

      Time Factor

      Comments about Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

      I bought this unit and I soon ended up placing it in my trunk of unused items until I ended up selling it. It was too complicated for me. It had delays I don't need. It sounded mushy like it affected my amps tone. It had some features for a delay unit but the only thing Eventide about it is the logo on the outside. I sold mine and I don't miss it. I don't recommend it. Not for the asking price thats for sure.

      MIDI Clock Sync failure

      By Chad

      from PA

      Comments about Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

      This product has been advertised from day 1 to sync to MIDI Clock. However, I quickly discovered that once I captured a phrase & looped it, it fell out of MIDI Sync rather quickly. If you own a TimeFactor & have not noticed this, sync it to a MIDI sequencer or drum machine, play a standard 8 beat pattern @ let's say 120 tempo & select Whole notes or even Half notes on the TimeFactor. Capture 1 measure at any point, whether the downbeat or otherwise, & wait a few moments for it to gradually & exponentially fall out of sync w/ the MIDI clock. Hence, it does not entirely "sync to MIDI Clock" as advertised. I made the manufacturer Eventide aware of this over a year ago & have been back & forth w/ them ever since. Several months even went by w/ them ignoring my emails. They've finally & recently indicated a patch will be issued but that it will not completely remedy the issue, but rather make it fall out of sync a little bit less than it does now. Whoopee! But not what I wanted. I have yet to receive notice of the alleged patch. Also, if you switch effects or delay speed during a loop, the captured loop gets jumbled & does not stay intact in its original form. All in all, it is a great concept, but poor follow through & even worse follow-up on Eventide's part. FIX IT!

      Eventide Time Factor

      By GearKing6886

      from Houston

      Comments about Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

      This is hands down the best digital delay out there. I've owned a Dd-3, DD-20, DL4, and now the Eventide. The two delays at once makes it in a different league than the others. The Boss' had a good basic digital delay, but little variety in tone. The DL4 has a lot of variety, but poor digital delay. (Everything sounds more modulated compared to the boss' or Eventide, not to mention Line 6's stellar reputation for reliability, everyone I know that has bought one has had there's break at least once.) All these delays were played alongside other top shelf pedals, through a Matchless Independence 2x12. It is 100% worth every penny. This makes it on my short list of absolutely recommended pedals alongside the Keeley Compressor, Roger Linn Adrenalinn (if used with a Keeley Looper or effects loop), and Fulltone Choral flange. If you are in the market for a delay pedal; play this one, or at least listen to clips. Invest in the best, and you won't have to buy multiple inferior delays.

      from Andalusia AL

      Comments about Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

      It's the best delay pedal you can buy, hands down. it can be musical like an analog delay or rhythmic like a digital delay. every possible delay is in this little box... my only complaint is that it isn't a standard powered pedal. I can get over the center positive part, but 1200 mA?... gah, my SKB board doesn't support this pedal, meaning I have to power it off the pedal board, exactly what I was trying to avoid... anyway... great Pedal

      NO LOW RES DELAY :(

      By space cowboy

      from Montreal

      Comments about Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

      I'd like the TIME FACTOR to be capable of the "Volume Swell" effect like the Line 6 DL-4. The others Delay types sound far better thant the ones on the Line 6 dl4 with the excepcion of the low res and vintage ones, you cant have the desintegration low res sound on the tail of the delays if you use either the tape or vintage on the TF.I hope Eventide relase a new update software A.S.A.P. to be able to match the low rest and vintage from the Line 6 DL4.
