Comments about Fender Bassman 610 6x10 Bass Cabinet:
I have been in the market for a 6x10 cab for a while now. I wanted something a little nicer and more compact than my Acoustic B810 and something more rugged/durable/road worthy than my vintage Kustom 2x15. I almost went with a custom shop 6x10 but found one of these for a great deal. They look absolutely stunning, especially in the Blonde/ Oxblood finish. It is the most well-crafted cabinet I have ever played. I have played plenty of Ampeg 610 and 810s and the quality of this blows the Ampegs out of the water. Amazing attention to detail and you can tell that it is truly built to last. When I picked it up I was blown away with how lightweight it was. At around 70lbs, I have no problem picking it up and moving into the van or up some stars on my own, and with the kick plate, recessed handles and bottom handles, it makes moving it anywhere stupidly easy.
Now for the sound. These Eminence Neo speakers, paired with the craftsmanship and ports on the cabinet make for an EXTREMELY powerful and versatile cab. Paired with my Ampeg SVT4pro, I have used this rig so far in a 200-cap club, a 600 cap club, and at a 6,000 cap outdoor stage, and I had no problem hearing myself onstage and cutting through the mix with complete tonal clarity, with the FOH engineers choosing to use the mic'd cab for the mix over the direct line.
This is the best cab that I have ever owned and I have no intentions of ever looking for another bass cabinet. Well done, Fender!
