Just received this amp yesterday, and wow! I have played for 20+ years, and have only had one other tube amp (Peavey). I purchased this for a new band, and wanted that warm tube sound. Alot of people think that the python covering is ugly, but that is a personal issue. How many tweed covered amps have you seen in your life? Trust me; get bit by this python. Fender only produced 500 of these, so get it while you can. This amp is LOUD, but the tone is remarkable. The reverb is over the top, and the crunch (gain) is good for just about anything. This is not a metal type amp, but can be solved with any good pedal.
I've had this amp for about four months. This is a Limited Edition (with badge on back) of 500 units. Great Fender clean sound, but the drive channel is lacking. If you want good rock or metal sound, you WILL need a distortion pedal (not an overdrive pedal). I use Metal Muff on clean channel. 4.0 for features which is good and its all tube. Amp is VERY powerful. Drive channel is a bit sloppy but otherwise high quality build. I use it at home, but it is too powerful for bedroom levels. Certainly enough for gigging.
Best looking amp I've seen in awhile. All tube, 40W is very loud. Could be used in a small club but not good for bedroom levels. For metal or hard rock you will want a distortion pedal in front on the clean channel. The tube overdrive is a bit lacking. Fit and finish is top notch - limited edition. Effects loop accepts pedals very well - reverb is a huge tank ... for the price, you should be happy to have this limited edition amp.
