This amp is great. It sounds great, it's a great price, it gets pretty loud for its size, and it looks pretty cool. It's extremely light on features, but the people buying this amp won't need them anyway (I certainly don't). This amp won't replace your Ampeg half stack, but if you're a beginner in need of a quality amp, don't think twice. You won't find any cheaper options.
Features are pretty light, but for the price you can't really look for high end features. The simple interface has only a volume, and a 3 band EQ (to adjust the Bass, Mid, and Treble, if you don't know). This little guy also has a headphone jack, and an auxiliary jack for your iPod or what have you. The simplicity is actually for the best, that way even newer players won't be in over their heads.
Fender always makes good stuff, so you know you didn't get ripped off. For such a small amp, the volume and tone is pretty good. It can get loud, although it does get shaky around 8. The sound quality is really good, I use an older Squier Jazz bass (bought them both together used). I play guitar mainly, so I just like having bass stuff in the house for bass playing friends. We even use it for jams sometimes and its plenty loud and sounds really great.
This much for an amp that is built this sturdy is nuts. If you don't purposely break it, you'll have it forever. Dinner and a tank of gas will run you way more than this amp (especially if you buy it used).

The amp is fine in terms of quality. Most people using a cheaper bass will notice a lot of static/interference noise, but with my American p-bass the amp is no noisier than normal for a practice amp.
It puts out a decent amount of volume for such a small speaker - if you're living in an apartment or with other humans, this will give all the volume you need and then some. I don't think there's any reason to move up in watts unless you know you need more.
I prefer the carpeted exterior of the old version of the Rumbles, but the new ones look a little sharper.
The little Rumble will serve you just fine as a practice amp or when playing with a friend or two, but I think there are better values out there at this price point.
This little practice box doesn't have any features to speak of, it's basically just an input jack and a speaker. There's a low/mid/high EQ and a master volume.
The input is the old style "CD in", so you can forget about playing with your iPod. The headphone jack is the old, larger style, so unless you have headphones that fit it, you'll need to buy an adapter. There's no "line out", which would be useful for a beginner in recording their practices.
The above average standard of quality you expect from Fender is present here. I'm using a thirdhand Rumble 15 for bedroom practice. It's taken a few knocks and works just fine. Knobs fit tightly and dial precisely, and the construction is rugged enough. I expect it would last forever if you didn't damage the speaker.
This was a good value 5 years ago, but today you can get a practice amp with a line in, line out, and a modern headphone jack for the same price. Fender should update this line, in my opinion.

Comments about Fender Rumble 15 V2 15W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:
This little amp is an excellent practice amp. It has a suprising amount of low end sound for an 8 inch speaker. I highly recommend it for your practice room or home studio.
Comments about Fender Rumble 15 V2 15W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:
Nice beginners amp, well made no frills good price.
Everything a beginners amp needs, with no unnecessary features to get in the way.
Well made, with a nice solid feel very impressed for the price. Also nice sound quality for the price, and quiet too.
For the price I couldn't be happier.
Comments about Fender Rumble 15 V2 15W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:
I have an acoustic bass guitar and the guitar is louder than this amp. This is a box, where is the AMP? I guess I was expecting to actual be able to HEAR something. Its not much louder than my iphone. When I plug my iphone into it, its just a bunch of distortion - NO BASS at all. Iphone sounds better with a little dock I have. Thoroughly dissapointed. Sending this back...

I am using this amp with a Roland keyboard for practice at home. It is much more than I really needed for this purpose and I am expecting to have several years of trouble free operation.

Comments about Fender Rumble 15 V2 15W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:
I bought this little amp and I brought it home and plugged it in and could not believe how good it sounded for such a little guy!! I have to say that as far as sound quality I would put this little rumble up against my big Crate. The rumble is however only 15 watts and wouldnt have the same power but sound quality is as good if not better than my bigger amp!! No joke! If you're looking for a great little amp for next to nothing this little guy is the amp I mean heck most of us spend this much just filling our vehicle at the gas station how can you loose LOL!! Geat Job Fender!!!
Comments about Fender Rumble 15 V2 15W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:
This little box delivered a lot more than I expected for less than $100. In fact this amp can be used playing small venues such as coffee houses, etc, as you are not playing heavy metal with a power drummer or some other heavy powered music. When I buy Fender I expect quality and durability. Again, with the Rumble 15, quality and durability was delivered. To me Fender is to guitars and amps what Harley is to motorcycles.

Looks good, sounds good, portable, lightweight, and it's a Fender.
I'm a longtime guitar player and decided I'd like to learn to play bass. I wanted decent stuff but didn't want to throw too much money at it in case I didn't like it, or was really bad at it, etc. You know how it goes! I did a bit of reading and research and pretty much everything pointed at the Fender Rumble 15 as a perfect starter/practice amp. After a few weeks of bump and thump I can say that this is a great amp for the money and a perfect starter amp, or practice amp. It puts out plenty of sound, and the eq controls shape the sound well. Heck, it even works well for 6 string guitar so I don't have to have multiple amps cluttering up my living room! If you want to spend a little money for a lot of amp, this is perfect. Just remember it's 15 watts with an 8 inch speaker," so ""little"" and ""lot"" are relative", but you won't be disappointed.
It's a Fender.
