This Amp has filled every room I've played in since I got it adequately and without distortion. It's clean, deep throated for its size and easy to carry and set up.

Other great uses for this Amp are using it as a makeshift Subwoofer or as a monitor. It does the subwoofer job great and at a fraction of the weight and the tilt cabinet makes it great as a monitor.

I'm a professional solo musician and entertainer and had recently been asked to join a classic old style country trio. They wanted someone with bass playing experience which I reluctantly admitted I had. In a previous life I was a bass player back in the days of 'Top Forty' music.

So, I purchased a new bass and tried using it with an old guitar amp I'd had for years but a standard guitar amp just doesn't have the low end for decent bass playing. I found this Fender Rumble 30 in a Stupid Deal of the Day Add. It has all the specs I was looking for except for wattage but willing to take the chance.

Needless to say I was more than a little disappointed after I made the purchase of this 30W Amp because just a few clicks later in the web site I noticed I could have purchased the same Amp in a 70W version for just a bit more. Well, the purchase was water under the bridge so what the heck. If I didn't like it I could return it.

When it arrived I had already made my mind up I wasn't going to like it but I unpacked it, hooked it up and was 'blown away' by the richness and depth of its voice. It was then I realized I didn't need a 70W Amp.

I'm not the youngest performer around but busy enough. Now, most gigs I play are happy hour gigs inside and outside. Private parties, Lunch and Dinner shows at various restaurants. Most inside jobs are in small auditoriums and restaurants. Inside or outside as a stand alone bass amp, it is perfect for my needs.

I was shopping for a new light bass amp, and saw this little Fender Rumble 30 at the local music shop. Plugged it in, and was pretty underwhelmed. Out the gate the floor model hissed like a snake. Loudly. Turned down the treble and mids -- no change. Undeterred, I plugged in first a passive then an active bass -- both single pole and humbucker type basses. Volume was a real problem -- not much gain, and the Rumble 30 kept it's viper demeanor. It is too noisy for studio recording, lacks gain for live settings, so I took a pass. Fender can do better.

bought this amp thinking it would look cheap and flimsey was very surprised at the quality that actually went into it it has a good mellow sound and works well not only as a bass amp but for the accoustic guitar as well, no buzz or hums ,seems to be one that will work well for our little church. great little amp for the money.

Comments about Fender Rumble 30 30W 1x10 Bass Combo Amp:

Picked this up from a local music store today and its pretty good. I play an 18v active Traben John Moyer Signature Havoc 5 string (now made by B. C. Rich) and it handles the low B, active pick ups, and active pre-amp very well. I can get really good tones for just about everything using the two, slap included. Also put some DR Sunbeams on my 5 string prior to using it that sounded awesome through this combo. All in all if youre looking at amps in this price range I would get this!
3 Band EQ, 1x10" fender speaker, weighs about 25-30 lbs, 30 watts (though pretty loud, much better than my acoustic B100 on clarity at high volumes), tilt back design, metal corners, metal grille, and a decent but not great overdrive feature. The cabinet is also somewhat ported in the front which is good.
Knobs and build are solid and of quality, but have only had it for some hours and cannot speak of longetivity.
Considering the quality and decent features you're getting, For the price its a pretty good value.

Comments about Fender Rumble 30 30W 1x10 Bass Combo Amp:

Purchased this Amp in May of 2012. Along with my first Bass guitar. Its great. Everything works and sounds fine. Looks cool and can be tilted backward too.
Price is very cheap, and compared to what we pay for guitars, its more than reasonable. I love it and it has all the functions I want. The looks of the cloth/tan retro tube amps are alot better. But, based my very limited experience, this rumble series by Fender for Bass guitars is great. Would only buy these amps.

Comments about Fender Rumble 30 30W 1x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I got this amp on Christmas and I was so stoked just to finally have a bass amp. I love the sound that comes out of it. It sounds good even without the overdrive. It doesn't come out loud without it but it sounds really nice. My friend told me to get a Mackie amp but it was too expensive for me. I decided to invest in this. You know what though, it was totally worth it. Even if you want full lows, 25% mids, and no highs, it sounds spectacular. LOVE IT!!!

Comments about Fender Rumble 30 30W 1x10 Bass Combo Amp:

Very clean sound - no noise at all. You could stick a mic in front of it and record. I play a 5-sting and have a big Ampeg for playing out. But this thing holds its own even when practicing with the band (everybody turns down a little).

Comments about Fender Rumble 30 30W 1x10 Bass Combo Amp:

I know some have complained from noise, but I think it may have been something from an early run that has been addressed because mine is quiet. For such a small amp the sound is nice and warm. The overdrive has a blend so you can get various levels of overdrive and blend them with the clean sound. It definitely keeps things interesting while practicing.

just picked up the bass after 30 years of wanting to. the amp sounds great. makes my used squier p bass sound like it should. the squier 15w amp i have hissed and popped. glad to find out it wasn't the guitar. the amp is easy to use and has plenty of power for me. can't go wrong with this amp, in my opinion.
