OVERVIEW

Hybrid structure for creamy tone and big power.

The Fender TB-600 Bass Amp Head delivers 600W at 4 ohms and is based on the TBP-1 tube bass preamp. The key to the TB-600 bass amp head's smooth tone-shaping is a passive tone stack, the backbone of the classic Fender sound. The tone stack is interactive: each knob affects the others to create big, warm notes. With the Fender TB-600 Bass Amp Head you get a true representation of the natural sound of whatever bass you play.

Fender TB bass amps are created for professional players looking for large, true, and balanced tone that sits fat in their live or studio mix.

The best amp I've played through!

By David Quick

from New York

Comments about Fender TB-600 Bass Amp Head:

I just purchased the Fender TB600 head to add to my fleet of amps. This thing has every sound you could ever want from classic Bassman sounds to full grind SVT to super clean modern slap tones and anything else. The amp sounds great without any of the added bells and whistles. Then add in the tube pre and Vari-Q and wow what versitility. I also picked up the foot switch which is a must have. With this you can kickin the tube pre or Vari-Q or the effects loop boost plus a chromatic tuner which automaticly mutes the amp. The effects loop boost is controled by the level knob on the back panel allowing you to set the amount of boost you want for soloing. Fender has really made a great amp!
Built for the road,very solid.
They are a bit exspensive but you get what you pay for and you'll never need another amp!

The only amp I'll ever need.

By PoorBassist

from Diamond Bar

Comments about Fender TB-600 Bass Amp Head:

I really mean it when I say that this may be the only amp that I ever need. I'm a pretty simple player when it comes to my amps, and as long as I get one good-sounding amp, I'm set to play. This amp has consistently met and defied my expectations by offering nearly any sound I'm trying to coax out of it. The passive tone stack works wonders with the existing EQ, and the room balance feature is so useful that I wouldn't be surprised if other companies started adopting it too. This is an amp that will last forever if you take care of it.

Best Sounding head

By Slaphappy

from Austin TX

Comments about Fender TB-600 Bass Amp Head:

This head has served me very very well. I have been using it over a year now with no problems. Fender has really got their stuff together in the bass department, i don't know what they did to this bass head but the tone is unbelievable and with so much power you can hang with any style of band or any fender twin or marshal stack! Its got that classic fender bassman tone but with the ability for the more modern bass tones that people are using now days. I like a vintage tone so this amp gives me as close as i can get to vintage tone with out having to deal with a bunch of fragile tubes. This head is easier to use and just seems to sound better than my Ashdown Evo 500, old EDEN WT-400, Gk 800 and as far as power goes this thing hangs with any ampeg rig i have played through. I have used this rig in clubs that fit 100 people with nothing going through the P.A. and Played huge outdoor amphitheaters with no problem!if you are having doubts because its a "Fender?", trust me and buy it, you'll love it.

Great Hybrid Bass Amp

By NP

from L.A.

Comments about Fender TB-600 Bass Amp Head:

Excellent 600w Hybrid bass head, marrying a 2 12AX7 Tube Pre with a 600w solid state power amp. Very warm and creamy tube tone, with the precision and punch of solid state. I would recommend pairing it with a 4 ohm cab to get the max 600w out of it, but even into an 8ohm load its still 400w and loud as you'd ever really need. Fender stepping it up in the bass amp market!

TB-600, first month

By Tom-h3goy

from Belle Mead, NJ

Comments about Fender TB-600 Bass Amp Head:

Little to say other than check it out when you get a chance. Tone, compression and flexability are all here. I've been playing GK's, Trace, SWR, Eden & Fender for years. This head combines the best of both worlds. Tube warmth with SS reliability just as others have gone to. Fender isn't inventing anything new here. Most others have made this jump or gone in the other direction with SS pre and tube power amp. This head combines the power & warmth of the 300Pro with the versatility of the 250/400HD. I'm impressed and have found a keeper.
