I bought this amp when I just stared tinering with the bass (I'm mainly a guitrist) I was good for what I was using it for. Wonder starter/practice amp. I no longer have it because as I was carrying it down he stairs, and it got banged agaist the railing and snapped the volume knob clean off. It some how broke the pot. on the inside and wouldnt work at all unless you shoved a screw driver in it and set it in a specific location, eventually it completely shorted out. I gave it to a friend and he says he some how bypassed it or bridged it so it was at full power and you would ue the secondary volume knob to turn it down.

I bought this little amp 3 years ago. When I first got the ground was bent way back..so the plug had to be replaced and one of the foot pegs was missing; I found the hard, brittle plastic thing in the box. Needless to say, I took the rest of them off. Otherwise the thing is light weight, and pretty loud for a little 30W (actual 50w) amp. The slap boost is great for funk, but the bottom end is all distorted and has no punch. I used to own a little Fender 25W practice and that had a much warmer tone. Overall, the little Gorilla is ok for what you pay for.

    Nothing Screams like a Gorilla...Nothing

    By Bass'n Pete22

My dad got me this amp with my first Bass. It's not a bad amp for a 4 string bass but I now have a Spector 5 String and it sounds like crap on the amp. The Gorilla just doesn't have a powerful low end. I just got sick of it and bought a Beringer 1200 which is alot better. Anyway not a bad beginner amp but it's not very impressive.

This was my first bass amp, and i still use it at band practice. it's great for any beginner, because it is affordable, and it gives great tone and wattage for a small price.

Not a bad beginner amp, very loud for only having 30 watts of power, but if I play it in my room with closed door and my brother is in the basement he can still here it fine.

    Gorilla Bass Amp

    By robotrick

    from Dalton

I had this amp for about 2 years, and I couldn't be more dissapointed, the tone is terrible, it will not get nearly as loud as i would like, instead of getting this piece of junk get an Ibanez SW35 35 watt bass amp, you would be much happier with that purchase then this, and it's actually worth your money
